  1. Maybe Sierra and the baby will become the new focus, since we lost Cole and Allision. I think American Gods isn't coming back so the actress will probably be available. I can picture her falling over from the inbalance in her body. Twins would be even funnier! But kind of mean, I guess.
  2. Awww. I was thinking that Enid was just over enthusiastic about learning a new skill.....bone cutting! I thought Rick was going to say to her....What the hell are you doing! All you had to do was clean and wrap it.....guess I just don't know enough about medicine. And amputations.
  3. You think she wants him to go to bed with greased up hair? Imagine the mess on the sheets! (From his greasy hair, that is). No, I am pretty sure that a shower is compulsory after a good day's work of dancing, and Gleb goes back to being hot, with his wild dry hair. Vast improvement!
  4. I was really surprised at how hot Gleb is, when he isn't greasing back his hair a la Donald Trump Junior. I grew up in the 70s and I distinctly rememeber the ads for 'The Dry Look is In." No more grease. And yet....here it is! Does anyone find that look attractive, I wonder??
  5. Freemantle has just signed a deal with Saudi Arabia, and now we're in the midst of controversy over what happened to Washingont Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi in the Saudi Arabia consulate in Turkey. It's a good thing that Gaiman has signed the new contract with Amazon. I don't imagine that most reputable actors and directors will want to be involved with any company committed to working with the Saudi government. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/fremantle-signs-saudi-arabia-format-deal-1152466
  6. I hope so! Altough not my choice as a serious romantic lead, Jordan would be hilarious. We definitely need an outgoing, funloving bachelor that likes to hear himself talk. No more of those pointless conversations about nothing. At least the women he dumped would get useful fashion and beauty tips! And we know he is good at rejecting them quickly and fairly painlessly, so that even clingons like --ooops forgot her name, the desperate blonde that latched onto three or four guys -- anyway, he dumped her so cleanly she instantly got the message. So much more effective than - crap, forgot his name too. Our next bachelor. Anyway, that guy will take days to reject one woman. Or maybe they'll all be around for the final rose, since he couldn't do it. And I haven't watched DWTS yet but I am positive you are correct. Jordan will undoubtably be a better dancer than Joe. Tom would be a better dancer than Joe. I just saw some headline on an entertainment site about Jenna accusing Jordan of nasty behaviour. I didn't read it. It is clearly all untrue. Jordan can rightfully be accused of being self centred and shallow, maybe not too bright but he is clearly a nicer person than she ever will be. And I also need to get a life!
  7. They definitely need a medical school, at the very least. Sexy Almost Dr. That Inadvertently Killed Carl should have been teaching three or four potentials, not just Enid. At the rate we're going, Enid will be teaching the other students awfully soon, since Sexy Almost Dr. was getting schooled just last year (18 months ago showtime).
  8. I guess I'm a hopeless optimist. Since Aaron wasn't bitten, I was sure they could have saved the the cutoff half-arm. Sure, it wouldn't have been so functional but handy to have all the same. I was thinking that too, all that work and now it has to be redone. With a much smaller workforce now that Saviours are mysteriously disappearing. Yes, completely support Maggie in her Gregory execution. It is a little trickier to know what to do with Evan, but since they need him, may as well put him on probation and get him back to blacksmithing. Might be advisable to take on a couple of apprentices too, just in case it doesn't work out and she has to off him as well. I am actually finding Maggie far less annoying than she normally is, and she looks much better too, with the grown out hair. Oh Carol and Ezekiel. I would love her to have this moment of happiness that lasts until the end, but if they make it to the conclusion of the full season I'll be shocked. Especially since Khary went public with his support for Lauren Cohen getting a substantial raise. I figured that was a death bite right there. I miss Aaron's half arm already. I do think there are other ways to get around it though, just toss some blankets over his arm, move objects in front of it, like they do with real life pregnancies. I am sure they can find many ways to save the FX costs without killing him off. Yes, Tara is never cute or charming. Long past her overdue date. Every time I see her, I think the tentacles of scientology reach far. Although she is supposedly the friend of the casting director, so we have another reason she is likely to stick around. Masterston seems like she can barely be bothered to put in much of an effort at the best of times, so these very limited cameos suit me best. Ha ha, I would love to see The Walking Dead evolve into the Flintstones. They could be made to plow the fields with cleverly placed bait just in front of them. Removing the teeth makes me think of the new season of Doctor Who....those teeth would be handy to make needles and all sorts of implements. I learned that by watching Alone. So true. As noted by other posters, teens are not the best mentors. I remember what it is like to have sons with teenager brains. They think they know everything but...they don't. Yeah, I was picturing her with The Governor and how she didn't back down. She really is too good for this show.
  9. Oh my goodness, I had to check that I hadn't written your post!! I agree about EVERYTHING. I agree, usually fucking is used to express anger or perhaps shock (still). I have never used it to entice my significant other into bed and I would be really offended if it was used as a synonym for making love. Same with "having sex." Nobody uses that term to suggest getting laid, other than on TV. Maybe cable show producers get excited, they finally get to use the forbidden word! I am always amazed that a woman is the showrunner for The Affair. The women are always written as if a man had come up with their dialogue and actions. I greatly commend Ruth Wilson for taking this part and making me care so passionately about Allision. I really don't think it is the writing or directing at all. At this point, I will check out next season initially for curiousity but without Ruth or Joshua Jackson, I can't see how the story of Noah and Helen will entice me. With the impending death of Vic, there won't be any reason to watch the show at all. Every sympathetic character will be gone.
  10. That was definitely an interesting show! I had several quotes lined up and accidentally erased them, so I will just list my impressions on their own. The ones that made me cry were Alexia, John and Bobby. And I even felt a little teary eyed for DeMarcus. I hadn't realized before that all of them were parent related. sniff sniff Alexis - I loved her dance, it reminded me of the wonderful contemporary I've seen on SYTYCD. Beautiful lines, wonderful emotion. From what I've seen so far, I think Alexis is a beautiful dancer but her Achilles heel is Latina dance. I am hoping she can overcome that, because I would love to see her in the final three. John - I am always surprised at how elegant he appears. Cognizant that his age prevents certain movements, but he takes what he has up to the next level. A very appealing dancer on many levels. I am hoping he outlasts the other nondancers in the show. Captures what the show is really about - take someone without a dance background and with hard work, improve greatly every week. Bobby - I have really hated watching him this season - until now. He definitely does deserve to stay beyond Joe. Not a great dancer but an adequate one when he makes the effort. And you could feel his pain in this dance. Curious is I will like him in tonight's dance or if I will go back to finding him supremely annoying. DeMarcus - I usually am not a fan of the athletes, especially the football players. Forget about Bachelor Nation, the football fans are crazed voters! But I am loving his enthusiasm, his footwork, his leaps and jumps. I am a convert. And the naked love for his kids! awwww I get the impression that his wife/their mom, is no longer in his life? Mary Lou - I appreciate her hard work and general happiness to be here. I don't find her dancing particularly interesting though, so I am okay with her leaving anytime in the next 2 weeks. Nancy - I liked her story. I am not finding her particularly interesting either, so I didn't feel badly that she was eliminated. At least she is going home to her wonderful family and it gives her foot a chance to heal. Tinanche - well, not a fan. (I'm not racist, really!!) It seems as if I am watching a professional dancer, but not one that grabs my attention the way that Cheryl does during the pro dances. I absolutely adored the video of her as a little girl and their great family dynamics. I think the problem is that early training sometimes takes away the feeling. It's technically perfect but doesn't move me. It's like comparing the singing of Celine Dion to Neil Young. Celine is technically much the better singer but Neil, with his rough raspy imperfect voice really touches me. I would pay almost anything to sing and hear Neil sing. I tolerate Celine, wouldn't want to watch one of her shows. Doesn't make me anti Francophone, I just value emotion and passion over technical ability. I also don't think the choreography is particularly interesting either. It feels as if the dances are basically the same. I did think that she made an effort to come across as more friendly and approachable post dance, so maybe things will change. I would definitely hate to see her leave before the lesser dancers. Milo - loved his dance! I wouldn't say it was effortless. I saw complete agony on his face during the dancing. I think it was a bit after the flip off the judging table. He has admirable determination and commitment to performance, especially considering his youth. Joe - okay, time for him to go, although I am looking forward to seeing him dance with Jenna and Jordan. Will be amusing at the very least. I liked Joe and thought he most personified a nondancer progressing to.....something slightly better? But that was the lamest excuse for a most memorable year ever! Really, nothing more interesting happened in your life prior to going on a reality show? And instead of telling (or even better) showing us what he loves about Kendall, he blathers on about how he had a fear of commitment, that Kendall broke thru etc. It sounds as if Mike Fleiss wrote this! I am realizing how much I am crediting quiet people with having a lot going on upstairs....obviously I was wrong about Joe. He is either very secretive and has no intention of revealing anything about himself, or there is nothing there....except for a pretty package. And being a friendly guy (I have noticed that Joe and John seem to be very popular with the other celebs). I don't think he is calculating or nasty but he really needs to go. Since the voting is mostly based on the previous week, I am hoping off he goes after the next performance. Easily the worst one there and not entertaining even in a Ed Woods kind of way. Evanna - I was actually kind of bored with this, although I loved her story and the setting was truly magical. I was very shocked that she earned perfect scores. Still, she is very appealing as a person and I don't have the dance background to appreciate if she is outstanding. Just didn't do much for me. Juan Pablo - such an exciting dance! This is the first time that I really thought he could win it. Need to see that level of intensity in future dances. At this point, I think my favourites are Milo, DeMarcus and Alexis.
  11. OMG what the hell happened????! I thought that I had read that Tripp and Honey Boo Boo were eliminated. I actually thought he wasn't that bad, just a normal kid that wasn't particularly interested in dance or performing at all. Not his fault he was born into that hideous family. At least we will never have to watch his mother and grandmother again. The would-be Kardashians. But Honey Boo Boo survived? When she couldn't be bothered to do anything, in rehearsal or the show? She just sauntered around in circles. I am quite sure that the judges didn't want it to look like they were body shaming her, by giving her much more generous marks than she deserved. A one or a two would have been appropriate, if they had made paddles with that low of a score. But apparently a bunch of hillbillies had filled up that venue, because she made it thru and knocked out the far more deserving Addison. Addison and Leif's performance was fun, and I loved the energy and the song, it had the entire place enthused. Unlike that deadily song and dance with BooBoo. Poor Artem. Poor partner. They must have been completely shocked and disappointed that she made it thru. And not only do we have to see her NotDance thru another episode, we have to see her horrible slimeball mother in the audience. ye gods. On to the remainder of the show....I fell asleep during the last dance performance. I have no idea who that was or how well he did, just that he didn't get booted. Stevie Wonder's son is amazing. He is my #1 candidate for winning. So many of them were entertaining. I didn't find Witney or Lindsay annoying, unlike many of you. Their enthusiasm and happiness at their team's performance brought a smile to my face. Jordan Fisher makes a great host. I like Frankie Muniz but he is so awkward, can't ad lib and lamely directs the action back to the judges votes without connecting with the dancers or mentor. I am pretty sure they could come up with a much better Erin for the younger set. I was surprised that I found it so entertaining. Looking forward to #2!
  12. Are you attacking Jordan's Professionalism? I'm quite sure that if he had written that letter, we would see Jordanisms littered all over it.
  13. That's exactly what I felt about the character in the book so I think you're right, it's Matthew Goode that makes the difference. He doesn't come across as a stalker, even though pretty much everyone else in the show says that's what he is doing. Matthew suggests that there is something else there thru body language alone. This is definitely Diana's story though so I don't think you need worry that she is like a character out of a Gothic romance. She stands up to his mother, she doesn't listen to Matthew and her wildly strong power and gradual control of it is earning her the respect of the vampires, witches and demons that initially thought she could just be manipulated or strongarmed into giving them the Book.
  14. 3. Walk over to a camera turned off and look at it yourself. Or discreetly wipe your nose on your shirt (or buff) if you have anything. A little hint? if you press the side of your nose beside a nostril, and it sticks shut for a moment, there's something there. (I couldn't quite find the gif that most nearly matched that, so I chose this one instead!)
  15. Well, of COURSE the horse survived Walnutqueen, Ken couldn't give his life in vain! (Ken? Kent?) I fully expected that the parents would have been given these details, telling him that they were getting the hell out of dodge but the horse was immiment dinner, so Ken went back to save him and didn't make it. He was a hero! He died protecting one of his charges. THAT might have made them feel better. Yes, I couldn't think of one reason why they thought it would be practical to drag heavy objects over glass, especially since there was a bunch of walkers on the floor underneath. You're totally right about the stroller, unless it no longer had the strap attached. I still think they could have devised one. Gregory should have gone quite a while ago. I have enjoyed his weaselness but it was primarily a one-note character. I liked that line too. I think the actual stupidity in this episode is far less than I've seen in the last three years, so I am happy. I never thought that Angela Kung running things would make such a big difference. I am happy about it. I felt the Carl sized hole when I saw the big funeral given to Ken, a redshirt. Where was Carl's big funeral/memorial? I know it was in the midst of war but something special should have been done. Perhaps this was Angela's symbolic honouring of Carl, what she would have done at the time if Gimple hadn't been running things. Yes, after it was all after and I had time to reflect, I realized: it didn't suck. I was going to probably give up on the show when Rick goes, but now I am potentially interested in continuing to see where Angela takes us. I had to look up your comment about Xander Berkley, as I hadn't read anything about it at the time. My personal opinion is that it appeared to be catfishing, and nothing illegal happened or was being offered, certainly nothing #Metoo worthy. I am posting the link here, in case anyone else is interested. https://spoilthedead.com/forum/showthread.php/28161-Xander-Berkeley-(Gregory)-is-a-creep https://theblemish.com/2017/07/xander-berkeley-twitter-19-year-old-dm-spank/ I originally thought it was the wife from Ozark but then recognized the voice as Brett Butler. I used to really like Grace Under Fire and Brett & Dave Thomas in particular. She had her own scandal I believe, involving drinking obsessively and saying very inappropriate things to a young boy on her set (I think he was cast as her son). I originally thought that the Sanctuary people should be sent to a farm (or given the opportunity, since they aren't slaves) but evidently they aren't really the farmer types. Why not just repurpose the factory and start building the farm equipment and implements they brought back from the museum? I am pretty sure they must be like my puppy (2 1/2 year old now), that still enjoys eating my own personal library. Cookbooks, psychology texts and Oprah magazines are his favourites! The walkers probably really like William Burroughs (Naked Lunch etc.) Yes, those are all really good points. I hadn't read Earth Abides but I have long wondered what they are going to do when all the supplies they are so dependent on, run out or expire. Yes, Darryl looked clean! Having a shower must have released his tongue. Who'd a guessed that dirt had stuck his tongue down so much that he was incapable of speech? I too am rooting for Ken's horse, I hope he got away. I pretty much regard horses as red shirts on The Walking Dead, since all of the early ones went down so painfully. It was nice to see most (or all) of them survive this episode. I thought it made perfect sense for Maggie to have Gregory killed, it probably should have been done a long time ago. They had already booted him out and he went to help Negan and his crew, then came back and terrorised the hilltop. Gregory couldn't be trusted wherever he went. He always is an evil voice in someone's ear (I kept thinking of Wormtongue in Lord of the Rings) and always just keeps coming back to Hilltop. I feel badly that Maggie had to make this decision in isolation though. I think the guilt will weigh heavily on her, and that is the dark path she is going towards. Somehow that will fit in with her shortened role this season. I can't remember the name of the woman with the books but I do recall that she is a famous character actress. I am sure that she will be back, for minimal guest appearances. Just one more reason that Rick shouldn't be the ultimate leader. He's not good at details like that. Overall, I am very happy with this opener. No Negan, stupidity was minor, and we have a sense that Angela Kung is going to tread a very different path than Scott Gimple. Yay! Although he is ultimately the one in charge of the franchise, it looks like she will be putting her own flair on the show. I am more optimistic about The Walking Dead than I have been for a long time. Maybe I'll once again be excited about the upcoming week's show. Maybe.
  16. I just saw it yesterday (streaming) in Canada. I also caught The Walking Dead season nine opener - maybe I have a fast browser! Anyway, it is very good. The castle is absolutely beautiful and at this point, I am enthralled with how they present magic so simply yet so pleasing to the eye. So much better than the book! (And I usually find the opposite)
  17. I remember how likable he was in the early seasons. I actually thought he was cute! He made it into People Magazine's Most Beautiful section around that time. Several of the castaways were excited to meet him. Then he wrote and directed a very successful indie film. None of that seemed to change him. Then he threatened to leave until they offered him goodies to stay (executive producer etc.) That seems to have been when the rot started. Or maybe getting divorced? I do know that he isn't a very good host any more and his talk show was a riveting disaster. All I can remember is Probst going on and on about himself and his second wife (who was doing something in the production booth). It was as bad as the Chevy Chase talk show. I guess success spoils some people, as does money. Or maybe hanging around Mark Burnett so much has rubbed off. I would like to see somebody different now, but I don't think it would be easy to find the right one. Someone not so obtrusive perhaps, like Phil Keoghan (The Amazing Race). Or Boston Rob, because I find him funny. (Although many many people would hate that!) Or Richard Hatch. I find him wildly entertaining.
  18. Yeah, I don't believe this is a PR stunt. Whomever revealed this to Reality Steve wasn't happy with Jenna and decided to spill the beans. Jordan was not a part of it. He does come out of this looking better than Jenna but it really puts him in a humiliating position and totally trashes Jenna's reputation. I can't see it being planned at all, other than Jenna making herself look like a victim at Jordan's expense, and the wildcard was the guy she was really into turning the tables. (Sorry for mixed metaphors, just a quick way to express what I'm feeling). I don't expect to see Jenna back in Bachelor Nation's good graces anytime ever again. As far as Arie and Lauren, I don't think that Arie ever crossed Fleiss and the gang. They suggested that he save his breakup with Becca for the camera and he went along, maybe because he's susceptible for suggestions and maybe because he really did think that it placed her in top position for being awarded Bachelorette. Who knows what happens when you are surrounded by producers telling you that's a great idea? So after publicly ridiculing him several times on the show (and he doesn't fight back much in public), all is forgiven. His reappearance on the show didn't put him in the position of mentor or judge, but as a tool in a beach play. Neither Lauren or Arie can act though so it made for a lame play. As intended. Still don't expect them to make several more appearances on the show, unless this one really does stick and they bring them out for future showing off of the few successful couples that emerged from the show.
  19. I just finished episode five. I find that I am liking it more and more, the further in we go. I had only read the first book, so I had a rough sense of what is to come. They have taken out some not so overly interesting subplots (that helped to develop Diana and Matthews' relationship) but I think that is probably a good thing. Much faster pace. Absolutely in love with the locations. I very much like the sense of place that you get with shows filmed anywhere in the U.K. It is developing a good sense of the menace facing the couple. Special effects are subtle but it works. I hope it's such a success that they come out with another season. Now that Andrew Lincoln is free from The Walking Dead, it would be great to see him appear here!
  20. I remember Abi-Maria because she was incredibly rude and she did come back in another season but RC? I just have no memory of that one at all. I assume it's a woman? I do think that if we are referring to tribespeople from previous seasons that the season and their significance should be noted in the same post. There are many people here that have trouble remembering who is in the current season (especially in the early episodes) so adding extra castaways from past seasons is just plain confusing. Even if I have watched them, I don't usually remember them unless they were standouts, appeared many times, and/or won (Boston Rob, Rob Hatch etc.) I am amazed when fans can recite countless bits of trivia about people I have long forgotten. And usually skip the remainder of their posts....not you of course, but in the past I have started to read long paeans to Yau-man Chan..........zzzzzz (I actually had to look up a Survivor Wiki to find his name)
  21. I disagree, I think Joe was judged fairly. He is making an effort. I can't imagine how tough it would be to complete those dancers without any dance training. I am not impressed with Jenna's coaching or choreography. I haven't watched this show for quite a few seasons so I'm not familiar with her past work. Maybe she isn't good with the harder celebs? What better dancers? Danielle and Nicole? I don't think either of them were outstanding although I am very impressed by Danielle's bravery. I am fine with Joe sticking around for a few more weeks. Like it or not, personal popularity has much to do with which dancer stays. It's why football players unfortunately win so much. I don't think the celeb has anything to do with the costume, that's on the pro and the wardrobe department. Jenna was wearing the type of summer dress you can pick up for under $20 at any cheap clothing store. Maybe she's phoning it in? She certainly doesn't look inspired at all. Agreed with Danielle, although I would have liked to see her next dance about a momentous time in her life. Still, I think Artem was challenged to find the right choreography for her. Going down the stairs was always the most terrifying part of the routine for me (and her, I suspect). She did look terribly broken up not relieved to be going home. It looks like most of the celebs have bonded fairly closely. Alexis didn't look comfortable focusing on the sexier aspects of the salsa, so I think that's why she held back. Pretty understandable for a 17-year-old that's not in show business. You're right, I had forgotten about the loss of her mom. It will be an interesting (and super sad) dance. Milo is such an amazing revelation! I really like his dancing, and his mastery of different styles. Looking forward to him going far (and perhaps winning!) I was so shocked when I realized Camryn Manheim is his mom. I remember reading an interview with her about the birth of Milo - and how she chose his name based on how easy it would be to call him for dinner etc. Can't believe 17 years have gone by so quickly! She obviously put him in dance classes when young but still - I am impressed that someone so young is that committed. Great job! Evanna IS fun, and like you, I often forget about her. I am so knocked out by Keo. Love his body, and his dancing and his choreography, and his charm and....wow, he might be my favourite pro! Tinashe is boring. Her dancing always looks the same to me = polished, accomplished and completely lacking in passion. Looks like she was raised in show business but never actually chose it out of interest. I really hope she doesn't win but unfortunately will probably go the final three at least. I do really like Brandon though, and am intriqued with what he will do with the challenge to shock the judges! Tianshe doesn't seem to interact with him much at all, during the dances or afterward when they get the judges opinions. I also think it is pretty lame to admire Britney Spears as the epitome of singing and acting talent. Bleeeh! Bobby Boner (thanks Mu Shu!) can go right now. In fact, I would have preferred that he left the first week. Poor Sharna. She's doing her best but obviously, he listens minimally to her direction. Better luck next time Sharna! Yes, agreed about Bobby. I love watching the dancers and pros along the railing and in the interview room. You definitely get a sense of which celebs are liked and which ones are not. John ad Joe seem popular with most of them. Tinashe looks pretty condescending. Funny, I have the complete opposite reaction to Brandon and Tinashe's professional relationship. He seems humble and excited over his first opportunity to be a teacher and coach, and she comes across as thinking she knows it all, having toured with Britney. I thought Danielle was likable but she didn't look comfortable on stage or in that interview room. Just so far out of her previous experience. People talk about Joe being awkward but I think he is far more comfortable with getting in new situations than she is, and I think she'll be relieved when she thinks about leaving. I watched him on The Bachelorette (briefly!) and Bachelor in Paradise and i think he's adorable! Has the most beautiful smile. A lot of times the contestants for the main show have been nominated by friends and family members. It sounds as if he has been very successful (and kind of bored) with his past business life and thought, this is a great way to try new things. He definitely won't be a dancer or a performer in any venue, but I guarntee he's made some solid relationships in the entertainment and sports businesses and that will lead to a new career path. In the meantime, I am charmed. He is 1000x the dancer Master P (?) was, my yardstick of a hideous unhappy dancer that should have been booted the first week. Joe gives me (and lots of women) a lot of joy, so I am fine with him outlasting the first two. Now, he just has to stay over Bobby Boner and I'll be happy. Milo and Alexis are amazing! I suspect being youthful gives you a huge advantage but...we're not choosing our mirrorball winner over empthy but for merit. So I'm okay with either of them winning. Yeah, although you could pick out the worst dancer jumping all over the stage and have a 99% chance of being correct. (Love the name for him, by the way, I've adopted it!) Really? I've noticed Camryn (Milo's mom) pretty much every episode. I used to like her in The Practice and think she looks almost exactly the same. Timeless. My pick for final four are: Alexis, Milo, Juan Pablo and ???? I'm not sure yet which one I would like included in that final four. Either Demarcus or Evanna.
  22. Hey, that reminds me. I know they don't have mirrors, but what's up with asking your tribesmate if you have boogers in your own nose? Now, THAT'S disgusting to me, not the septum nose ring. I am not crazy about those rings (I prefer the ones on the side of the nose), but I see it as personal preference, just like tattoos. Agreed, Bi did look as if she wasn't trying but it was easily apparent to me that it was difficult to stretch her arm down that far to grab the rung back. A tall person (without a fear of heights), would have been a better choice. And Christian (the puzzle god) should have been the sole director of the team, since everyone knew about his expertise in puzzles. Instead, we had a chaotic, undirected mess that lost them the challenge. Who is RC? What kind of dangerous things would one encounter in publishing? A fight at Fashion Week, getting turfed from a Trump Rally? Maybe standing beside Mark Burnett at the Emmy Awards? Yeah, I'm not a fan of Bi after seeing her performance in the challenge and the attitude she gave Gabby. Now, I don't think it's fair to call Dan a Fessy 2.0 I don't know if it is possible to be as dumb as Fessy. Let's wait at least to see if Dan will parade around in camp wearing a palm frond cape. I don't really agree with going thru another tribemate's personal effects but.....it's Jeremy!! And I didn't mind when Rupert did it either. Probably because that theme that year was pirates...and as Rupert said, stealing shoes is kind of a pirate thing to do! I thought it was funny and really liked Rupert that season. Unfortunately that wore off the more times he came back.
  23. I am not surprised about it at all. Swaggy spends 23 days with this woman in the house, then gets evicted, does PR with her family and whips off some more merchandise, couple themed this time. I have no idea who would like to wear it, other than Rockstair and Scottie possibly, but he was all in on marketing. Probably had baby ones lined up too. I am hoping that he doesn't come out with miscarriage themed shirts. (1+1+1-1=2x$$$$$$) He went on the show thinking that he would be as successful as Paul with a clothing business, without any sort of experience or knowhow about it, or at least that's the way it looks to me. You don't have to be a fan of Paul to acknowledge that he is fairly intelligent and has the backing of his wealthy family behind him, along with a bucketful of charisma. Swaggy doesn't have any of that, just a showmance that they (and BB) are trying to convince us is real. I am not sure what Bayleigh's motivations are, other than being bored with her job and thinking it might be good to get on the reality train, since so many have become financially successful marketing their brands after their Bachelor Nation appearances. I suspect that BB doesn't bring in as much money or endorsements afterwards though. You're right! I didn't notice it at the time, but I did notice that she looked a little surprised at his proposal and I think went with it on the fly since it would probably garner her more followers on Twitter and Instagram. Again, $$$$. Overall, a good season although I am a little disappointed in the winner. I thought there was a good chance that Kaycee would beat Tyler, and I think his responses to the Jury and his closing argument were much more disoraganzed than I would have expected. It's almost as if there was a night between JC leaving and the jury vote, and Tyler spent it getting drunk. I think Kaycee seems like a very nice person and she can probably use that money but I find her so incredibly boring. Tyler entertained me all summer. I do think he became way too distracted by Angela and almost didn't care as much when it came to jury management and the social aspect. He was still on point with fighting for the HOH and Vetos, but Kaycee physically is a very tough opponent. I think that JC was clearly the villain of the season, and not the one you love to hate. He was just completely obnoxious with denigrating Fessy and everyone else he thought he was intellectually superior to, not to mention sexually assaulting the other houseguests. I kept thinking of him as an Evil Fetus and it was very disturbing. Shaving his head made him look like a child, as did wildly swinging his legs on chairs and over emphasizing his movements. It was nothing to do with his size, just how he chose to portray himself as a sexual predator with childlike traits. I didn't like Winston or Brett most of the time, but JC seems like a much nastier type of person.
  24. I still liked this episode but I agree with some of your points. When it comes to Charlotte, I think she is attracted to redneck kid because: 1) He looks an AWFUL lot like a younger version of Matthew Gray Gubler (Criminal Minds), 2) he is extremely literate and interesting, despite looking awfully dirty. I don't think Rich Boy looks like he has cool friends. He looks like the type that would get the girl drunk, sexually assault and then post the photos online. Probably has more to do with recent news stories and my dislike of most wealthy people but possibly, he just came across as smarmy to Charlotte. I have NO IDEA why Marty would trust Ruth. She may be very knowledgeable about the local crime scene but she is loyal to no-one but herself, she has anger management problems, and I think her youth would be held against her when it came to dealing with anyone other than the strippers. Wife would be a better choice but I don't think she would agree to work there, she has higher aspirations. I do have a harder name remembering her name - had to look it up online. Laura Linney is a fantastic actress but I think it is very clear that this is Jason Bateman's show. (Probably something to do with also writing, directing and producing it). I also love the chemistry between Marty and Rachel. I don't know if that's intentional in the plot or just that Jason and Jordana have a special something. I definitely enjoy watching them together. Jonah is a bit of a strange kid, no doubt. At this point, I don't know his motivation unless he feels his family isn't up to the task of keeping them safe and he believes his new skills with his illicit shotgun will be their secret weapon. I am wondering if the old guy in the basement is aware that he has it. I find it hard to believe that he gave it to Jonah to practice but still...he seems pretty sharp. I can't imagine that he didn't notice or didn't want to confront the kid. Well, Wendy's photos were on his Facebook, not hers. He was clearly smitten with her. The chances that her family would come across his Facebook page (especially if the setting is private, and that's what I expect from a lawyer), are small. It would be different if he was married. Still, we don't know how Marty figured out that she was having an affair. Unless she made the mistake of putting sexy lingerie on a credit card bill that Marty paid. The FBI agent is strange but kind of fascinating. I am liking the show so far but not instantly hooked, like I was with Breaking Bad.
  25. Well true, it doesn't make you a villain but if you are just starting to know someone, everything is going well physically and emotionally/intellectually, but then you turn around and make out with the next woman that asks you to take a walk, well, it makes it look like you're there for The Wrong Reasons. ha ha Nothing wrong with playing the field, until you make it look like you have found "your lobster" (Mu Shu) and then do the exact same thing with the next person. If it was in real life, at least there would be distance, physical distance, but here it is just a few feet away. At least Jordan let Anneliese know how he felt as soon as Jenna appeared on the scene. And Colton ~ kind of ~ tried to let Tia know he just wasn't into her.
