  1. I try to remember that we are only seeing about a third of the actual case, and aren't actually hearing a coherent picture of the case.
  2. I'm hoping the replacement for Corriero is someone like Adam Levy (Judge Judy's son from Tribunal Justice), who doesn't take the side of anyone who cries or whines. My guess is the woman needed 3 mini split units because her house wasn't set up for central air. What did she do for a/c before the mini splits?
  3. 3 March “The A/C Unit Has Me Boiling” New, Season 11, Episode 97 (Claudia Soto vs. Eduardo Soto) From the show site: Despite a handyman's attempts to repair and replace a defective A/C unit, the homeowner refuses the replacement and demands a refund, leaving both parties in a heated dispute. (Litigants are both named Soto, not related). Plaintiff/home owner Claudia Soto suing defendant/handyman Eduardo Soto for full refund on an air conditioning unit. Suing for $4,272 for selling her defendative merchandise, and failing to repair it. Eduardo installed three mini splits for Claudia, and she claims she had no air conditioning for a month. Defendant is a handyman, who was paid $950 for the first unit, Plaintiff wasnted one unit first, then she wanted two more. All three units were installed in a couple of days. $2850 was the total defendant was paid for the three units. Defendant says plaintiff wanted the first unit sitting on the floor, and that plaintiff's husband would put a shelf under the units. Damages plaintiff wants is for one unit, $950, and the rest is for lost wages and pain and suffering for a month without air conditioning. Defendant claims they came to an agreement, but plaintiff never signed the agreement. Defendant says after the agreement that he received a texted death threat from an unknown number. Plaintiff denies knowing anything about the death threat. He made a police report about the threat and refused to deal with plaintiff again. Plaintiff denies her kids would sent a threat like that. Plaintiff claims $2700 for replacing one unit, and placing all three unit placed up on the wall. Plaintiff is a salaried employee, so lost no salary. Judge Juarez says only refund of purchase and labor for one unit, $950, saying she had two working a/c units. Corriero says $2,850 to plaintiff for all three units, labor, and work time lost. Juarez is totally ticked at Corriero. Tewolde says only one unit also. Juarez keeps disagreeing with Corriero, and so does Tewolde. Plaintiff receives $2400 for mounting three units, and one unit refund. “Furry Bar Brawl” Rerun, Season 11, Episode 38 p. 52, 31 October 2024

  6. Yes, the huge square plastic frames are a trend, the one after that is with sloping sides, and looks even stranger.

  9. "Home Town Intervention" S09.E09 New, 3/2/2025 "A couple bought a house in Laurel as a DIY project, but they need help. Their son enlists Ben and Erin for a Home Town intervention and hopes they'll be able to convince his parents that they need to bring in the professionals." Will meets Ben and Erin at Bird Dog Cafe (under another owner now), and he wants Ben and Erin to help his parents with their fixer upper. Parents Kathy and Mark are moving to Laurel from rural Texas. Photos of the house are rough, inside and out. 2 bed 1 bath, $100,000 budget for the reno. Ben points out they can't do everything now, but they can do enough to live there, and do other parts later. The Campbell House is certainly bright school bus yellow now. Kathy still wants to do the fixing up themselves. They bought the house from the next door neighbor. 1300 sq ft bungalow craftsman, with a huge front porch. The couple had a 5-year plan, and an 8 hours drive from Texas. Floors look solid, but need another color. Kathy wants the house to coordinate on colors and design. Ideas are paint the outside, take the acoustic ceilings down, kitchen needs to be opened up, and is totally gutted. Kathy wants open shelves by the stove, and all drawers on that row of cabinets, with a peninsula, and lots more counter space, and the old HVAC closet becomes a huge pantry. Main bedroom has many layers of wallpapers. The couple want to finish the bathroom by themselves. The Campbell House will become the Turner House. Kathy loves the color palette for the exterior, light turquoise. $25,000 exterior, $75,000 interior. Then, the Turners will do the other bedroom and finish the main bath. Kathy and Mark, and son Will will work with Erin and Ben on the house. Ben wants to build a special hall tree for the front room. At a previous time the ceiling joist were cut, and that has to be fixed, and the tongue and groove ceilings didn't hold up, so that will be drywall. The previous chimney, top only, has to be removed very quickly, and carefully. Mary Engelbreit, the famous artist, is helping Erin with the kitchen colors and palette, and designed back splash tile. One of the plumber's assistants has to crawl into the 14" tall crawl space to run the line for the gas logs. I like the exterior, and kitchen color. Kathy wanted butcher block counter tops, but no overhang for seating. Kathy loves the exterior paint scheme. The wooden piece Will and Ben built is lovely. New landscaping is lovely, and really enhances the look of the home. Kathy loves the colors in the house, honey color in living room. The painted ceiling in the dining room is spicy, which Kathy wanted. Ben's coat tree is lovely and so useful. I love the refinished floors. Kitchen is spectacular. Mary Engelbreit used Adam Trest's tile manufacturer to do the tile. The secret pantry is wonderful, with a beautiful china hutch that was from Kathy's mom's home. The finished bedroom is lovely too. They kept to the $100,000 budget. Memory Lane: Meditteranean Vibes "Ben and Erin walk down memory lane as they revisit a couple with an appreciation for character homes who were looking for something unique with an outdoor kitchen and a pottery studio." This was John Combe's house he didn't choose, and will be perfect for the Hendersons. Saron and Neal are an artist, and he's at the laminated beam plant. They need an outdoor kitchen, pottery studio, and a $500,000 budget (was the Stevens house) 3 bed 3.5 bath, 5,200 sq ft, and $400,000 list price. Erin moved the front door where it belonged, and kept the old front door to go into the "garden" room with a fountain, that will become studio and display space. The fountain was lovely when it was finished. The Hendersons bought the house for $315,000. I love the trip to the blueberry patch. They salvage the current kitchen, hardware, and wood. They'll reuse the handmade hardware. Ben gets a piece of the U.S.S. Constitution, "Old Ironsides" to use for table legs. It came from Neal and his dad's mill. (Next Week starts Home Town Takeover, season 3, Sebring, Florida).
  10. S2.E12 "Down to the Flipping Studs" New, 2/27/2025 "Tarek's old business partner and friend returns with an offer Tarek can't refuse; Tarek and Heather join him on a property in Long Beach that needs a total rehaul, but this rickety house could crumble their high hopes for a large profit." Jeff the contractor wants Tarek's help with a horrificly bad flip. A member of the cleaning crew fell through the subfloor and suffered a broken leg, so unsafe to enter. They will partner 50/50 on the flip. House stinks, and is piled full of wet furniture and garbage. The entire ceiling has fallen in from water damage. Back yard is horrible with piled garbage and junk, overgrown. They look through the window, and can see the ceiling fell in, and the roof has horrible holes in it. I think house is a gut job. Bought for $430,000 list. Tarek thinks they can remodel for $200,000. To lose money, Tarek says a $350,000 remodel would ruin any profit. They took 120 cubic yards of trash. How out of the house. House seems much worse than they thought. Jeff thinks reno will be $230,000 maybe more. House was gutted to the studs, no drywall left. All of the floor and ceiling joists have to be replaced. It's currently a 2 bed 2 bath, it needs a third bedroom for best resale, which would cost $35,000 to $40,000 with other work. Now there's a firmer estimate for the third bedroom, and bigger kitchen, so 520 sq ft, so $280,000 for the total rehab now. So, $50,000 to make the bedroom and kitchen bigger, should net $130,000 higher sale price. House is nice. They're still using the frosted glass closet doors. I don't like the black tile in the bathroom. Bought for $430,000 Big clean out costs. Reno $307,000 Break even $811,500. List price $1.1 million. $288,000 potentail profit. Sale price $1.12 million. $350,000 profit to split with Jeff.
  11. 27 February “Fair the Truth Lies” New, Season 11, Episode 97 (Garrett Brunnquell vs. Alexandr Lipencov ) From the show site: When a drone pilot returned from a trip to Peru, he found that he had a new roommate. Each tenant in the three-bedroom house had their own lease, and as the senior tenant, he became responsible for collecting their utilities payments. But this new guy allegedly didn't pay his share. Can the judges help him with this unfair situation? Plaintiff/senior tenant Garrett Brunnquell suing Defendant/new roommate Alexandr Lipencov for not paying him for a share of the utilities. Suing for $4,000. There wasn't a signed contract, but defendant still lived there, and has no intention of paying utilities. Defendant says he shouldn't have to pay utilities when he was working elsewhere. Plaintiff receives $3,241. “Real Housewives of the Trailer Park” Rerun, Season 11, Episode 37 p. 52, 30 October 2024 28 February “The Niece Who Broke the Lease” Rerun, Season 10, Episode 173 p. 50, 12 August 2024 “Not in Kansas Anymore” Rerun, Season 11, Episode 48 p. 53, 15 November 2024
  12. I was shocked Thederick kept losing after having that massive lymphedema removed. I'm really hoping Thederick and Lindsey are both living their best lives, and healthy. I'm guessing that was the series finale after 13 seasons, and it was a fitting way to end it.

  15. Did Thederick ever mention to Dr. Now that he will want skin removal, but no one will be helping him? That's not going to work, he will need a caretaker at first. I'm so proud of Lindsey. One reason the apartments look alike is Hurricane Harvey flooding. Lots of apartments flooded, at least the first floor, so many of them were rehabbed, and look pretty much alike. They often are looking for the cheapest apartments, and they all look pretty much alike.
  16. Yes, they're both such phonies. I hate how she's talking about her trauma, when someone else died. Thederick proved me wrong, I love he lost so much, and is getting surgery.
  17. I think a lot of the poundticipants have been so limited in their life for so long, that all they care about is food. They have no intellectual stimulation or interests outside of being dependent, and getting the next batch of empty calories. Lindsey is better off without Paul. I hate how hurt she was by his cheating, but I never thought he was a stable partner.
  18. I think it's to show it's authentic designer merch, and costs a lot.
  19. After J.T. had his lymphedema removed they showed the physical therapists working with him to learn to walk without the mass. I'm sure Thederick will get the same therapy, whether they show it or not.
  20. Thederick's lymphedema was 66 lbs, but probably 80 or more total with blood and fluid that was lost too.
  21. The convenience stores at the gas station all sell pizza 24/7, it's very popular. I wonder if Thederick really cares about anything but losing enough to get that 80 to 100 lbs of lymphedema taken off. I'm betting if he loses 100 lbs or so, and gets the lymphedema off, he'll be happy.
  22. Yes, maybe with other people, but certainly with his alcohol consumption.
  23. Where I live some gas station convenience stores have attached diners, or short order take out. Still vomit inducing to me.
  24. Thederick from Gretna, FL Original episode Season 9 Episode 2, Jan 2021 Lindsey from Hills IA, Original episode Season 8 Episode 2, Jan 2020. Thederick's WATN part was started a year after his original episode. I'm guessing Lindsey was 2021 filming.
  25. I was horrified by the daycare leg injury being blamed on the sibling. Online dating was the one where she had a house in Cali, she moved to AZ with him, and wanted all of her investment in furniture back Here's my recap: Online Dating Fail- Plaintiff Susan Jervis suing defendant/former boyfriend Joseph Russo (met through a dating website), for return of rent and property, and moving costs. Plaintiff went from California to Arizona, defendant moved to Arizona, and then litigants moved in together a few months later, in plaintiff's rental house. Plaintiff lived part time in her late mother's trust house in California, and in a rental house with defendant in Bullhead City, AZ. Litigants only have a lease signed by them, not the landlord. Plaintiff wants her items she bought for the house back, most of which are gone, so she's not getting money for those. Case dismissed.
