  1. Honestly, just seeing my dad buy a $2.1 Million dollar mansion while fighting my Mom to get her far share of the joint property/child support would make me angry. It's all well and good to say kids shouldn't be brought into their divorced parents' disagreements - but if your father is actively trying to cheat your mother out of her fair share then it is valid to choose not to have a relationship with him.
  2. What do you suppose the land out at Coyote Pass is worth these days? Houses in Flagstaff have almost doubled in price since 2018 but have land prices also increased that much?
  3. If you run one of those online calculators that tells you how much mortgage you can qualify for based on your income, he'd need to have an income of $600,000 a year to qualify for a loan of $1,680,000. Does it seem likely he and Robyn bring in $600,000 a year?
  4. What kind of income would Kody and Robyn have to claim they earn in order to qualify for a $1,680,000 mortgage? That's ignoring the $667,500 mortgage they already have on the house they haven't sold yet.
  5. WOW! It's a 2 million dollar house. Kody must have been quietly pocketing money for years to be able to afford the mortgage payment on a 2 million dollar house! $2,100,000 purchase price with only 20% down is a mortgage of $1,680,000. That has to be a monthly payment of over $12,000.
  6. I've watched that scene twice now and I'm convinced that was Kody coming over to ask Meri to join them for Christmas. Which he never got to until the end (the part with Robyn asking him to do it but he doesn't do what she says because he's a man of his own mind).
  7. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the answer is filed to rebut what the initial action was about and offer what the defendant believes is the correct resolution. Isn't there only a counterclaim if the defendant in turn chooses to ask for something that wasn't in the plaintiff's action? I'm not a lawyer but googling it makes it sound like that.
  8. It says "Filed: Answer and Counterclaim". The question is whether the system automatically lists it that way adding the "and counterclaim" in the title even if one isn't filed.
  9. Any idea what the counter suit is?
  10. The Boomer generation technically goes until 1964, but those born 1960-1964 probably have more in common with Gen X than the early Boomers (1946 - 1960).
  11. I was wondering if this was another out of place scene. At one point Kody said something about Robyn wanting Meri at Christmas so maybe this was before Christmas and was Kody trying to get her to come so that it looked like not everyone had abandoned Kody and Robyn?
  12. Kody legitimately looked like the devil sitting there spouting his "If I don't love you it's your fault" "If I do love you it's your fault" talking head in the blue shirt. If you were his kids, how could you not hate him after watching that?
  13. Now that's funny! Meri does have a good sense of humor.
  14. You can qualify for a mortgage 2 years after a Chapter 11 bankruptcy in some situations. The thing the Browns had going for them when financing the houses in Las Vegas was even though they had a bankruptcy on their record they had never defaulted on a mortgage. It seems that they kept the Lehi house mortgage in good standing. A foreclosure on your record often looks worse to a future lender than a bankruptcy.
  15. Does anyone know what Meri and Leon's relationship is like? Why did Meri choose to spend Thanksgiving alone rather than spend it with Leon and Audrey in Colorado?
  16. I don't think that price drop was accurate. Realtor.com website noted the price change but Zillow never did, and Realtor has the drop in price listed one day after the house was listed.
  17. Wouldn't it be interesting to see how the episodes/talking heads from season 17 line up with what was going on during this season 19 episode filming? In this episode they were talking about Thanksgiving 2022 so we can assume it was filmed in November of 2022, or possibly early December of 2022 if it was AFTER Thanksgiving. The "Knife in the Kidneys" episode aired on tv on Nov. 13, 2022. If we assume that the Brown kids see the episodes as they air live on tv, they were just seeing the crap Kody was saying about Christine and Janelle and the drama of the knife in kidneys right around that time....no wonder Gabe didn't return Kody's calls or texts.
  18. Where Janelle fell behind the other wives was in real estate appreciation. If they had stayed in Las Vegas, Janelle's Las Vegas house is now worth $900,000. She would be sitting on over $500,000 in equity for her "estate" (as she likes to call it) since they bought the houses in LV for $400,000. She has zero though, because she never got a house is Flagstaff. Robyn's estate has the appreciation from the Flagstaff house (bought for $860K, trying to sell for $1,600,000). Meri's estate has the appreciation on the BNB in Utah, which is probably nowhere near what Robyn's got in her house but better than nothing. I think that's why Janelle appears to be the poorest, because she has no real estate assets. But I bet she pulls in a lot for her MLM income.
  19. If Ari feels free to say to Kody that she she doesn't like Christine, what do you suppose Ari says to Truely if she gets upset when Truely's visiting? Truely's probably gotten an earfull.
  20. Does anyone recall about a year ago Gwen said Kody gave her and Ysabel a small chunk of money? It was around the time Gwen was pulling in the big Paetron money talking about the family. Maybe the reason Christine wasn't so quick to file for child support was that Kody was giving "something" before Janelle and Meri officially left. But given the money he has to pay to Janelle and Meri now (for Coyote Pass and possibly the down payment on Robyn's house) you can guess he stopped giving Christine or her kids anything. Also, maybe Christine has insight that the show is ending and wants to get the child support set before that happens?

    Mykelti

Does it seem like there was a falling out between Christine and Mykelti? It's strange Mykelti and Tony moved to North Carolina when they had Christine (and Aspen, Ysabel and Truely) nearby in Utah to help babysit etc. If Mykelti was moving to work with Maddie and Janelle at the flower farm it would make sense, but I read Mykelti will live 4 hours away from Maddie and Caleb. Is the chess teaching job Tony got a big enough reason to move across the country and away from family?
  22. I think an interesting financial tidbit that came out of this episode is that all the OG 3 wives paid their mortgages themselves but Kody was paying half of Robyn's mortgage. It seemed obvious that there was more money at Robyn's house based on her fabulous Las Vegas backyard playground (as opposed to the others' dirt back yards) and then the Flagstaff mansion. If they were splitting the TLC money in 5 shares, Kody and Robyn were getting 40% of the pot. Plus with Kody keeping 100% of his sideline jobs' income you can see how there was money for velvet paintings. Meanwhile the others had to struggle on their own to cover their necessary expenses.
  23. What was she saying this in reaction to?
  24. The tell all was filmed in September of this year, and Janelle mentions they've been separated for several months at that time. It seems like it might be since around April when they are considering themselves separated - which coincides with when Janelle went to Portugal on her dream trip and took her sister.
  25. And they tried to make it more salacious by repeatedly calling Janelle Kody's stepsister. They forgot to add she was also Meri's sister in law.
