Normades raises a good question. Where’s the cut off? My non-denominational church is very, very benevolent, but my pastor is way too savy to be anybody’s sucker. For instance each year there’s a huge back to school extravaganza with bags of free school supplies. The catch is that the students must show up with the parents though. No handouts while little Billie stays home and plays vidoe games, and you have to participate in other activities and workshops about education, good manners, being a responsible citizen etc. while you’re there. No freebies! And you wouldn’t just be able to come to the church for endless assistance. If you weren’t a member you’d be encouraged to join a local church, and steps would be taken to improve your situation like job training or financial planning, not a life of endless handouts. Surely if the Rodriguii keep hitting up smaller congregations they’re taking valuable resources from people who really need it. Do the churches not see this? I’m all for helping the less fortunate as a Christian, but the bible also said a man that doesn’t work doesn’t eat.

I had a cousin who went to Molly’s shop and she said the experience was awesome and that Molly is a kind and genuine person. She could really help Joy, but they’re probably too modest and arrogant to take the assistance. I mean with Molly being all wordly in her leggings and animal prints...and her “illegitimate” children ? Someone should sponsor a trip to Woodstock for Joy so she can get a good minimizer, some nursing bras that actually support her, an uninterrupted shower, and good nite’s rest at a Holiday Inn. She would feel like a new woman. The bra makes all the difference. And that’s speaking as someone who used to wear a sized 40I bra!

I never thought I’d say this but thank God for Lauren and Kendra. Along with Jeremy (though I still think he’s an arrogant prick). These girls brought some much needed, albeit minimal style to this group of frumpy fraus. Maybe the older girls will take a look at pics of Joe and Si’s wedding and see how disheveled they are and how mousy and terrible they look. And none of that new mom bullshit either. You’re still a person and can make time to brush your damned hair. Hopefully Jessa will also see that she is not/was not nearly as hot as she thought. If nothing else, I hope Joy, Jordan, Jennifer and Johanna benefit from this. Maybe they will realize maternity clothes are not supposed to be skin tight, and you can look put together and still maintain your faith and modesty standards.

Those self-righteous hypocrites don’t see love offerings as handouts because they’re extra very special to Jesus and are entitled to abundant blessings? Jill and Porky Pig are just narcissists and all the kids are mere supporting actors in their show. I really loathe people who don’t put their kids first.

I forgot how far away she was. My sympathy meter went up a little. Seeing Kendra’s awesome support system probably doesn’t help either, but maybe Joe will be a good influence on Nostrils since they’re all close in age. Joe seems like he wouldn’t but in unnecessarily, but might mention something to Nostrils about offering support in passing.

Those jackasses are way too proud to take handouts from the gubmint. That’s for lazy people that had kids they couldn’t afford, who aren’t the right kind of Christians and don’t look like them. Never mind that the kids are malnourished...it’s all about pride. But since they had more kids than they couldn't afford, and no one is really gainfully employed, then according to their logic, they aren’t entitled to any assistance. Get jobs like the rest of us, and grow a damn garden! There’s more than enough people to work the land.

After watching Joy throw some major shade at Nostrils in the birth video, I almost felt bad for her. Having a new baby is hard as everyone has to learn, even though she’s been around babies her whole life. But she’s never had to do it by herself. Growing up there were always sister moms to pitch in, but now they all have their own families. Being younger than Jill, Jessa and Jinger meant she was more available to help them than they are to help her. I’m the youngest and stuck in that crappy position now. It kind of stinks. Kendra has her sister, mom and the novelty of the first grandchild to get her through. Perhaps Nostrils can’t be bothered with women's work like changing diapers or giving baths. I say almost felt bad because then I think of their repugnant, narrow-minded, bigoted beliefs and then I don’t feel so bad.

Poor Gabriel is actually kinda cute in his own innocent sort of way. I do hope they fix his teeth though. Society can be cruel about those sorts of things. Renee’s complexion looks really sallow and unhealthy next to a healthy kid.

I agree as far as your culture in day to day life. But I’m referring to whatever the norms and customs for guests are at Chantal and Pedro Smurf’s apartment. If their wish or rule or whatever is the guest gets the couch, then she should have accepted graciously even if she didn’ like it.

The wedding looks simple enough and if that’s what the couple wanted honestly I’d rather that than any overly-Pinterest, I’m going for maximum IG likes type of event. It seems genuine. And no shade to fabulous, glamorous weddings, but it’s nice to see a tv wedding that doesn’t cost the equivalent of small BMW. Si’s suit does fit well which is a first. Perhaps the trend will continue. Having said that, they do not have the glow most newlyweds seem to have. She looks over the moon and he looks resigned to his fate.
