I forgot how bad some of these were.

I want to like Kristin, I really do. She seems very sweet and genuine, and she’s very pretty. But for Pete’s sake, can we see a little pep from this girl when she dances? Or talks? Or poses for pictures? Or anything else??? Kelli always referred to it as looking sleepy, but she just gave me this completely defeated vibe and it was depressing. EDIT: she looks less sad and gloomy on her IG than she did on the show. I wonder if she was just completely overwhelmed and/or in her own head with training camp, because every time she was on the screen last fall my daughter and I were like “oh no, not Eeyore again.”

This makes me flash back to when (director) Kelli said to Kelli (Quinn) early in her first training camp after multiple times trying out, “how have I not noticed you before?” These judges get so fixated on whatever it is they are thinking they need or want at the moment (for the squad or for the show), that they really overlook a lot of talent in the audition process.

Do they not have an African American Barbie? Ashlee's Barbie looks identical to all the other brunette Barbies.

I'm not up on the latest filters, but what's going on with their respective eyebrows in this picture?

In response to the post several pages back asking about Rachel W ... I see her as a “the earth is flat, dinosaurs never existed, and it was cold today so global warming can’t be a thing” type.

I think Judy is adorable, and looks 20 years younger than she is. Meanwhile, this girl looks as much like Joan Rivers than Judy, and looks 20 years OLDER than her age.

I don’t know anything about the DCC, TPTB, individual girls and their personalities, or any locker room or behind-the-scenes drama other than what I’ve seen over the years on the show, social media, and this forum. But I think the team has grown B-O-R-I-N-G, taking the same mousy “I am so blessed to be part of this amazing organization” Stepford wives every year, that perhaps a little VK will be good for them! She certainly lacks control (both in dancing and with personality), but she also seems fun and boisterous. It may be a needed breath of fresh air.

Is anyone else wishing they would do some new choreography with some new costumes? Halloween, Breast cancer awareness, now this hip hop number. It’s the same stuff year after year. Freshen it up a bit!

And yet Cassie’s Instagram picture is her DCC cameo, her description of herself starts with Former DCC, and she constantly posts pictures of herself or her daughter doing things with or around current and former DCC ...

Just finally getting around to watching the finale. Lots going on in this episode. The cuts ... sending for Lily and Malena on the field like that was brutal. It was like an executioner went and got them. I thought that was awful. And I’ve always hated that the last night cuts never have a crowd to comfort them, or even get to say their goodbyes. Re: Lily ... I feel bad for Lily that they seemingly had plenty of feedback for her but didn’t really give it to her until they said goodbye. We saw so much slack and coddling going on with others (VK, Malena, Kristin) ... you couldn’t give this girl a quick office visit a couple weeks ago to give her a chance? Strange. And the abrupt way Kelly told her, and the lack of any emotion just shows they had no investment in her at all. Again, strange. Why so much investment in some girls (okay, VK I get, but with Malena, Kristin?) and zero in Lily? Seemed cold, preferential, and unfair. Re: Malena ... I read about her reaction before watching it, and it was much more meaningful than I expected. Sure, she seems a little emotionally fragile and/or immature, but that really sucked for her. And referencing my comment above, the disparity between the emotion and compassion shown (by both Kelli and Judy) to Malena versus Lily was significant. I’m unclear as to why. Re: Charlotte’s announcement. I personally didn’t mind it as much as others did. I liked that the girls knew it was coming and were holding hands and seemingly got to savor the moment knowing it was coming. Btw ... Miranda looked really bottom heavy to me standing on the field the last night. Was she that thick through the hips and thighs last year? I’m starting to get Kitty’s Grandma Moses comment a bit more now. Also, Daphne’s bottom ribs stick out so far when’s she’s dancing that it’s almost hard to look at. Does anyone else see that? Rookie Rachel and her voice still Bore. Me. To. Death. Finally, we saw more of this rookie class in this one episode than we did in the entirety of the season. Oh, and PS, Kristin at the friends and family night ... What is up with that girl’s perpetual Debbie Downer frown? Yes, I understand how hard it must have been for her to be there and I give her great credit for that. But she had that face the entire dang Training Camp. You see these pictures of her on her new squad and she’s adorable. Where the heck was THAT girl during training camp?!

The rumors (and discussions on this board) of Victoria claiming to be guaranteed a spot on the team surfaced way back around audition time ... in MAY.

I’m sorry if I missed this up thread, but is anyone else wondering whether Kelli’s comment about “anyone who thought Victoria was a shoo in” was directed at the rumors on this board?

I think it’s the angle not the amount of skin showing. A shot level with her ass - even her bare ass - would be less suggestive than this particular picture IMHO.

I am still floored at how close to the first game performance they came before finalizing their roster. Do you suppose Kelly was pushing it to see how firm Charlotte would be on that 36?

The squad photo really emphasizes how many brunettes are in the rookie class! It’s strange that they put Hannah and Erin together (back row), and Rookie Rachel and Daphne together (third row down) instead of breaking up all that dark hair in the back. Same thinking as to Savannah’s placement. Her between two blondes makes that second row look lopsided. I realize they wouldn’t put Savannah front and center, but maybe Khalyn middle front with Lacey and Alexis on either side, Savannah behind Khalyn, and then Tess in Savannah’s current spot. Or maybe swap Savannah and khalyn’s spots? I think Gina looks great with the sultry close-mouthed smile. Maddie’s hair is bad. As a curly-haired girl myself, I’m all for the natural locks, but they need to be softened up with some product or something. PS Brennan looks great.

Where on earth is the squad photo this year?! I get that they took it late, but it’s OCTOBER already!

So much going on in this latest episode ... Kelli looks bad in the Kristin situation IMO. Why didn't she just cut her? She told Kristin as much and then backed away. She has repeatedly commented how many cuts they still need to make; if this girl has shown you what you need to see, why drag it out? Kelly looks indecisive and wishing washy. Kelli also looks bad with how easily she is swayed by other people's opinions. Kitty comments on Tara, Miranda and Madeline, last week, and Kelli jumps all over all three of them. But Kitty says "show some respect" to VK, and she backs right off. No wonder this training camp lasted so long and cuts were made at the eleventh hour ... the Director can't make up her own damn mind.
