  1. I have used this site for other shows, thought yours might be there and it was. You are very welcome!
  2. This may have been answered elsewhere, and if so, I apologize. Did Julia suffer any injuries in the accident?
  3. Agreed. I think Meredith has beautiful eyes, but I don't find the rest of her face to be attractive, from the eyes down her faces gets so narrow resulting in a very pointy chin. It just looks unbalanced to me.
  4. @DCCFanInKy - if you have an address or link to contact them, could you please PM me as well, thanks! In watching the past seasons on Pluto, it really has become fun to see gals who are trying out and aren't featured/don't make TC and realize that later they become very accomplished team members. It is such a nice plus that they show the first two seasons.
  5. I grew up in Maryland which has a few interesting accents of its own, but moved down south for many years and really love the warmth of a good southern accent. On topic, I don't have anything against Melissa R. as long as she isn't a big feature of an episode each week, but I honestly think that having a more newly retired former DCC assisting the TCC would be more relevant both to the ladies themselves and the viewers at home. Things change and the recently retired vets are much closer in knowing what K & J are expecting currently and being a bit younger , this can put the TCC more at ease. JMO
  6. How right you are. Hubby has diabetes type 2 so that has helped me be much more aware of how much sugar is in our foods. Avoiding processed foods has helped him, but sadly he has a sweet tooth and is pretty picky with what fruits and veggies he likes. I'm one of those weirdos who actually prefers a fresh salad to ice cream!
  7. I just happened to see a post on Twitter that reminded me. Lately I have just been watching it on demand. It was IMO a much better show tonight. Much more dancing and critiques shown, less fluff and filler.
  8. These first cuts have seemed fast, also because in the past it was usually only one girl cut per episode of the show. Now we are seeing two at a time. I imagine the pace for cutting the gals will slow down as the training camp goes on. Once they are down to the ladies they really like, they will have a tougher time deciding who stays and who goes. I hope they spend more time on the makeovers. They seemed to rush through the uniform fittings this season. Those are two segments I enjoy watching and I get to know the TCC's a bit better.
  9. Some odds and ends thoughts after watching: Everyone knows she is one of my favorites, but I thought Christina looked fantastic in the footage they showed of her tonight. I think the memory of Malena's breakdown last year has caused Kelli to enact cuts more quickly this year. In past years, for the most part, she gave the gals much more time to correct their weaknesses. It probably is kinder in the long run to not prolong a cut that seems to be inevitable. I enjoyed this episode much more than some others this season. The majority of the focus was on dancing, which I love. The visit to the V.A. was touching and it was great to see the ladies in a major portion of their job - making appearances.
  10. A few thoughts here before I put the rest of my notes (LOL) on the episode thread: I noticed that Kashara had gained a bit of weight when shown tonight. (and good for her, she looks great to me). Maybe she will eventually take over for Melissa R.? Poor Cheryl, she is like the harbinger of doom when she steps into the room to call a gal into the office. Every time she appears, a hush falls over the studio. They just need to add the sound effects from the shower scene in "Psycho" to complete the mood. It is hard for me to watch Shaina knowing what sadness is to come into her life later on during TC. I will also miss Brett, she seems like she would be a great friend and teammate. After watching tonight, it looks (unless something drastically changes) that Kat and Meredith definitely made the team (apparently as alternates, but still in uniform) based on their looks. Charm, and others have pointed out how "off" they are in their dance and put them in their lowest rankings. I keep thinking about how I would feel if I were one of them and would I be embarrassed to "just" be an alternate or glad I was on the team in any capacity?
  11. I don't have much of a sweet tooth, thank Heavens or the poor horses would topple over when I ride them. I tend to get any sweet cravings satisfied with fresh fruits - peaches, pineapple, strawberries, and not real sweet, but I love grapefruit. But since you mentioned bakery, you have to beat me with a stick to get me away from a fresh loaf of bakery sour dough bread!
  12. I would think so, for most at any rate. I recall that once sweet Brennan made the team and could relax, her dancing was so much better. It is hard to just "let loose" with that tremendous pressure.
  13. When I am bored out of my mind and am "browsing" Youtube, I sometimes watch snack or candy exchanges between folks from two different countries. Inevitably, comments are made by the visitors from other countries that say how sweet our foods taste and how much sugar they contain. I think we (U.S.) tend to have a lot more sugary options than many other nations and as a result, can pack on pounds more easily if we aren't careful with reading ingredients.
  14. Gina is in Show Group, just happens to not be in that particular photo.
  15. The Seahawks Dancers (formerly the Sea Gals) have a similar uniform to the new Tennessee ones. Both have the flannel shirt. Goodness, the shorts on the Rams' cheerleaders make the DCC shorts look long!
  16. Useless Trivia: Mr. Ed's real name was Bamboo Harvester. On another note...I'm going to be sorry to see Brett go. She seems like a sweetheart. Ugh, now I have that damned song in my head. ::wandering off singing, "A horse is a horse, of course, of course..."::
  17. As a former public school teacher, we went "back to school" a week before the students. During that week, we were given plenty of time to set up and decorate our classrooms. Schools were also open to teachers to finish things up on the weekend or you could stay as late as you wished during the week. The only thing I would think you could not miss would be a "Back to School/Meet the Teacher" night. This though, was usually during the first week of classes. I realize that other school systems, private schools, etc. may be different, but most follow the schedule I mentioned. Overall, nothing takes place on weekends in public schools that require a teacher to attend (with the exception of high school coaches when their team reaches championships in sports).
  18. Maybe she spilled milkshake on it and they had it dry cleaned.
  19. It is definitely the wide set eyes that make her unique. Much like Jacqueline Kennedy.
  20. I find them useful! The Baltimore Ravens have 53 cheerleaders (as Holly mentioned a team did earlier) that comprise the stunt and cheer squads which all perform on game days. From what I am reading between the lines, there is a reason for having 37 on the team that has nothing to do with pay. JMO
  21. I remember in the mid-eighties, V-cut bikinis were all the rage. Back then I could actually look good in them and they were flattering to the tummy/hips.
  22. I am a Banker - Innovator and I'm a Leo. It would be interesting to know how they would use an assessment tool such as CORE. In other words, do they have or hire someone to explain these results to TPTB? Do the girls receive knowledge of what "type" they are? I would imagine though, that they most likely make sure they have one of each "type" in each of the four team groups as much as possible. It's hard to imagine them getting more complex than that.
  23. I'm a pretty easy going gal, but if I were a veteran, I'm fairly sure I would not be happy about sitting out games. I most likely would not say anything about it, but inside I would be ticked off! I wouldn't be happy about it as well if I were a rookie, but as a rookie, I think I would just be glad I made the team. I think all the changes that K & J have made to the formations have made a mess out of things. Just pick one person to be point, no sharing. Choose an even number of cheerleaders and use all of them throughout the game OR declare at the beginning of auditions, that one or two gals will be selected to be alternates. It seems like having a rotation was a last minute decision, one I doubt the gals like at all. As others have mentioned, many of the ladies seem to be rather listless and lack fire. When this happens at the beginning of a season, it can mean that there is a morale issue with the team. JMO
