  1. I wish I could muster your enthusiasm. I hurt for Lily, Hannah, Brennan, and even Meredith. I have no clue who these new gals are and I guess I will only get to know them through what is said on the boards as I have no intention of giving TPTB my support/ through viewership of MTT. Heaven knows they won't doing many appearances and aside from perhaps a random snippet of them on the touchdown decks, we won't be seeing them on game days. (Full disclosure, I'm a Ravens fan so that lessens the chance of my seeing more than one or two of their games on tv).
  2. I just had to ask my hubby. Without giving any details of who each one was (he knows them by name but not sight from hearing me vent, lol): Hannah: 8, liked the red hair, Rachel W., thought she was pretty close to a 10, VK : first comment was "She looks kinda fake", Gave her a 7. Note: After 22 years, I might as well keep him. I added my message of support to Brennan's IG. Can you imagine, if we are this upset, how hurt her parents must be for her?
  3. He also had rather ugly knees. (Sorry, I just HAD to add that. Blame it on being a former history teacher and a professional equestrian. ) Brennan's post was pure class, just as I expected it would be.
  4. To the ladies.... Meredith - I hope you had a fantastic year with the DCC, made some great memories, and some even greater friends. You have many fans who will eagerly await your next opportunity to shine. Lily - You should be very proud of what you accomplished. I remember all the smiles when you walked out onto that field and the other gals realized you had made the team. They and we were so happy for you. Good luck to you in whatever you may do in the future. Hannah - What a stunning dancer you are. Better still, what an intelligent young woman! Get that graduate degree and take on the world. You will always light up any room you enter. I will miss seeing you perform on the field. Brennan - You are a credit to your parents and an excellent role model for every young person. You have shown all of us that persistence pays off and that with a positive attitude and great work ethic, you can achieve your dreams. I have enjoyed (along with so many of us here) watching your journey. You are pure class. Bridget - Everyone should be as lucky as to have a friend like you! Remember, you all have accomplished what very few obtain. Years from now, your team photos will be on display for your own kids and grand kids to see. You were a DCC, and they can never take that or the good memories you made away from you!
  5. I definitely now think that Bridget's outrage was over the way Brennan must have been treated. From what I have seen/heard of her, I'm sure she is absolutely heartbroken. It's like kicking a puppy (NOT implying Brennan is a dog!).
  6. I know, she is going to be so very upset. Come to think of it, I am very upset as well. My curiosity is still with Bridget's post. I think her post hinted at more than just a reasonable cut being made. Someone doing the cutting must have been truly out of line or she is referring to the disloyalty with the possible Kat situation, or VK/TK involvement.
  7. I am shocked. Not as much with Lily (I'm sad about that) or Meredith (since we knew that one earlier). Having had the Covid 19 virus myself, I am still dealing with extreme fatigue 2 months later and have zip, zero, nada stamina, so I would imagine if Brennan was cut, that would be the main reason why. I am still very saddened by this one. I wish they could keep her on in some capacity. Her sweet and mature demeanor would be an asset to them all. With Hannah, I am very shocked. Unless she had weight gain (can't remember if I saw any photos of her recently) or she "cut" herself as she felt she needed more time to spend on her graduate work, I cannot imagine why. She is a very talented dancer and seems to get along well with everyone. Bridget was really upset in her quickly deleted post, perhaps one of TPTB was extremely rude/out of line during the final office visit? Thank you, @Bennie for supplying us with the info.
  8. I'm getting seriously worried after reading Bridget's post. Which vet cut/s would most cause this reaction? Jalyn? Since no receipts are needed, could someone let us know? Please?
  9. I am so very glad right now that "my" Christina retired, or I would be a wreck right now. Ah, who am I kidding, I'm still a wreck! Questions I want to know: Did Jalyn even make the team (since we now know she didn't make SG again)? How many vets were cut in total (Meredith plus 3 more, or even more than that)? Lastly, do I need to sharpen my pitchfork and light my torch?
  10. I don't know for sure, but I would say that players are not penalized. The rationale would be that they are worth more than a cheerleader who can easily be replaced. (not saying I agree!) Non-fraternization is not an NFL rule, each franchise decides for themselves. I don't know the rules for every franchise, but I do know that on some, a cheerleader can't follow a player on social media nor can they even ask for an autograph. The thought being that they are there to do a job, not snag a rich hubby. In terms of what Kat may or may not be doing, I have no clue. Heck, I don't even know what my own feline cats are doing at any moment! As to GL 1 and GL 2 possibilities, If it were my team, I would have two GL's per group with equal standing. One would have great dance skills, teaching ability, and musicality; the other would have good listening, comforting and advising skills with a firm understanding of what is and is not allowed. For me, Brennan, Maddie, and Savannah would be great in the role of the advisor/"mom", while gals like Gina, Caroline, and Jalyn are well suited to the dancer/teacher role.
  11. And my poor Christina! I had completely forgotten about Meredith's vocal fry. That was dreadful. I was thinking about if/when the DCC perform. I pictured them all wearing little Dallas Cowboys face masks and blue latex gloves. (It really was rather a frightening visual!)
  12. If Meredith was indeed cut, aside from her issues with choreography, does anyone know if she had any other strikes against her from last season (lateness, etc.)? At least she had a year as a DCC which is more than many TCC can say.
  13. Think of a cow wearing a bell and Annabelle, lol! Well one thing we won't be seeing much of (hopefully, for everyone's health) is guest choreographers. Perhaps even no Melissa, or Charlotte, or Kitty (if she ever decides to return). I'd like to see Judy having much more of a voice in the decisions, but not holding my breath. Much as I enjoy the drama in the company of such good folks here, I'm glad the gals will not have to go through weeks and weeks of that draining emotional stress we always see by the end of months of TC. Folks that aren't chosen will be able to get on with their lives - well, as much as possible with Covid-19 still lurking. Finally, just to see what y'all think...which THREE veterans do you think might be most in danger of being cut, assuming these rookie candidates are fantastic?
  14. I just hope (but not holding my breath) that we will actually get to see more dancing. With my luck though, they will interview every single girl about how Covid-19 has affected their third cousin twice removed that they have never met. As to carpeting, like astro turf, it increases the risk for getting "caught" in it. Instead of a smooth slide, it can bring your momentum to a sudden halt and you could injury a knee, ankle, etc.
  15. Utterly random thoughts... Some athletes are blessed with the ability to be light on their feet and are able to leap into the air with ease. I believe "ballon" is the correct terminology in ballet. (Please correct me if I'm wrong, it's been almost half a century - good Heavens I am old - since I took ballet.) It is one of the things I look for when watching the auditions and later the TCC. If Victoria hadn't been shoved down her throats, I really wouldn't notice her that much on the team. She is, however, one of the more "earthbound" spirits when it comes to movement and jumping. In the horse world, there is a saying that "form follows function". I'm not sure if Victoria truly understands that, when I compare her dancing with some of the other videos above. I certainly hope that as part of the very beginning of training camp, an expert is brought in to talk to the gals (and TPTB) about the current best practices and advice for staying safe from Covid -19. In trying to recover from it myself, in addition to a total lack of stamina, my ability to concentrate and memorize is still affected. For those trying to memorize new routines, this could play a huge factor if they were to become ill. Hope everyone is staying safe and doing well!
  16. Got it myself at the end of June and although I am much better, I still have the cough, shortness of breath at times, and tremendous fatigue. I am nowhere near one of the bad cases, but it is awful. (I hadn't left our property in months, dear hubby (essential worker) was asymptomatic aside from a few body aches and that was how I contracted it.) I truly hope they have a well thought out and researched plan for any training camp/tv show that may take place. There is no way that anyone that ends up with even a moderate case of Covid-19 will be able to regain their stamina in short order!
  17. I've always liked Brennan, so I'll join you on that team!
  18. She was a good spokeswoman and interviewer and was very well liked in the locker room. I think she had her best season on the field this year and is older than most gals, so a good time to hang up the boots. She was my favorite, so I guess now I have to find a new underdog to cheer for.
  19. I'm in Maryland, so Ravens practices might be different, but most practices have a morning and afternoon session. Since the gals arrive after 5pm I believe, it shouldn't interfere too much.
  20. Brennan has excellent leadership skills and I would love to see her get a 2GL spot. It has been wonderful to see her confidence in herself grow once they finally put her on the team. She is one that I would want to be friends with.
  21. I hope that perhaps DCC will release it after the deadline passes. It would be nice to see (I missed it as well) what they were asked to do.
  22. I really enjoyed listening to Kelcey on the podcast. I was cheering for her during Training Camp and I knew she was studying to become a nurse, but I was very impressed with her ability to balance study/job/DCC. Her responses to the Covid-19 related questions were well thought out and articulated. I will miss Bridget and hope she has a lifetime of happiness.
  23. I was hoping Shaina would come back, but I don't blame her one bit if she doesn't. As for Christina, I have not seen her in any photos (involving anything DCC) lately. While she was one of my favorites, in a way I would be glad if she is indeed retired. I always feel like I want to defend her on here. I'm glad that Brennan will be back (she will be back, right???) As for the photos of the new candidates, I can hear my late mother saying, "What was she thinking?" It does weed out those who haven't a clue what the DCC image and look is. Thank you so much to those who posted them for us. That was a LOT of work. Hope all of you are staying safe and feeling well!
  24. I follow Bret on IG . She often likes posts by the individual DCC. I hope she tries out again and they give her a bit more time than last year. She seems like a sweet gal and has NFL experience (the Colts I think?). Of this past year's rookies, which gals do y'all think are the most in danger of not making this year's squad if a number of really talented ladies try out? Throughout the season, I really didn't see much of the DCC except when something was posted in the forum. From the little I've seen, I think that Meredith would be lowest on the totem poll. Opinions?
