    Very sad. I know relatives of people who have taken their own lives. It is devastating. They are never the same, so I do find it the ultimate selfish act.

    Yes, “beauty contests” are outdated, but if Miss America wants to carry on, it’s certainly a step in the right direction. I always found prancing around in bikinis very demeaning.

    I just read that her husband was home, but the housekeeper found her. Have to wonder. The exclamation point reminds me of the Seinfeld episode & Elaine’s obsession with that punctuation.

    I don't know why she has to share with the public. That's their private business. Not everyone wants kids. She & her husband must have discussed this before marrying (one hopes) & it's not his family's concern.

    A shame for the child. I had a bracelet once. Very poor quality. Mfg in a sweatshop somewhere, I’m sure.

    Why would you spend $7K on a dress to renew your vows? Just saw a slightly over weight gal with no neck spend almost $8000on a gown. On her wedding day she wore her hair down & a rhinestone necklace which emphasized her no-neckness.

    Kathy Griffin. I guess all is forgiven, because she's in our faces again. She always reminded me of Joan Rivers, whom I didn't find funny, either. How can we miss her if she won't go away?

    Irrelevant. I think using those words takes away from your message. (& I'm not a fan of the presidential adviser) Yup.

    Agree. No need for THE word. The use of the word has taken away from the point she was trying to make regarding immigration. Sorry, Samantha, not impressed.

    No - but it still takes the attention off Roseanne. I saw a newsbit (not interested enough to read the whole article) that's she's crying on TV now. sigh

    Yes, what’s really annoying is that the focus is on Sam rather than Roseanne. Really stupid miscue.

    I wish someone would explain how it would be empowering. People find the oddest things empowering - breast augmentation, botox, liposuction. I know the Brits use the word all the time & for some reason their usage doesn't make me cringe. Go figure.

    I don’t feel it’s appropriate to have any messages on a preschooler’s shirt. Whatever message is on the shirt is the viewpoint of the parents, in any case. Just send the kid to school in a plain shirt, then you won’t have to get indignant about anything.

    The annoying thing to me is that I thought Samantha was smarter. She had to know how that word would be received. I would think better of her if she had not apologized.
