  1. For their sake, I hope they were! 300 years is a hell of a long time with nobody for company except creepy sociopath Pan, Lost Boys, Bae, Smee and various pirates who didn't get killed in Echo Cave. I would really like to see more of Tinkerbell, but I doubt we will unless "iZombie" gets cancelled quickly, which would still mean her not showing up until 4B. Even though it's filmed in Vancouver, too, her available time would be akin to Megan Ory's. Once's secondary-character actors are just too popular!
  2. So, I tried my hand at some Captain Swan porn. Since, you know, there's just not any of it out there. ;-) Not my usual output at all, but I did do it once for Alias, so this was slightly less daunting to post.
  3. This sounds exactly like what I was afraid of. I am praying to all the deities that it's just producer-baiting of the fans and it's something that gets cleared up in the first ep. I can see Emma feeling guilty at first, but I cannot deal with multiple eps of it or her pushing Hook away to punish herself. Because she wouldn't just be punishing herself, she'd be punishing him, too. Plus it's just STUPID and unwarranted. What would actually be GOOD is if Snow took off her Regina blinders and was a mother to Emma here. Like, "OK, Regina ruined my life over her thwarted romance, but I am NOT letting her do that to my daughter! You did the right thing, Emma, so don't you dare let her steal your happiness by putting a guilt trip on you. You go lay one on your pirate right now!" Of course, since Snow is Regina's biggest apologist and cares more for her feelings than her daughter's, she'll probably join in on the guilt trip on Emma. So it may fall to Charming to be an actual parent who looks out for his daughter's happiness here.
  4. I saw "Broadchurch" and had been intrigued by the concept of "Gracepoint" and figured I'd watch it. But I saw an ad for it for the first time last night and had a surprisingly violent, visceral negative reaction to seeing the same lines and scenes with different actors. My mind was all, "That's not Ellie! That's not how Beth said it! No! Wrong!" It was like a freaky pale echo, or seeing something through an aquarium. It felt so off. So I don't think I'm going to be able to watch it after all.
  5. I've been secretly hoping that the Jabberwocky would show upon on Once. Thinking about her tackling Regina's issue is awesome.
  6. Pan was such an awesomely hateful little shit.
  7. Yeah, they discussed that theory in X-Men, but then But we'll have to see how OUAT handles it. They'll probably either kill Marian off or have her give Outlaw Queen her blessing, so Regina can have whatever she wants.
  8. I hate so much that those numbnuts created such a reactionary stink that she felt the need to justify and explain herself, when 1) She didn't have to, because she didn't say anything wrong, and 2) SHE'S IN FREAKING MONTE CARLO and should be having fun and not dealing with idiots who send her hate.
  9. I am traumatized. I have three blueberry bushes, and I put netting over them when the berries are ripening so that I will get them instead of the birds. When I came home tonight, there was a dead robin in the netting! Its foot had gotten caught, and it must have broken its own neck trying to free itself. I feel TERRIBLE. Especially as a vegetarian who doesn't even eat birds. Poor thing.
  10. Yes, he needs to grow the scruff back so I don't feel like such a cougar. ETA: Fan encounter in Nashville, complete with picture. I cannot get over how different he looks without the beard. And another pic from the set.
  11. Some people can't handle the truth, even when it's blatantly obvious. I mean, jeez, obviously Neal framing Emma and sending her to jail hurt her terribly. How is that even debatable? To think otherwise is to ignore basic parts of Emma's character and what's actually happened on the show. It really sucks that people are attacking her for having an opinion and speaking the truth. That's the ugly side of fandom. I agree that she seems very thoughtful about Emma and her portrayal of her, and if people have a problem with it, then, well, that's THEIR problem.
  12. Depends on how fast his beard grows, but I think two weeks should be fine. I have a friend who can pretty much grow the Hook-level scruff by evening. We say his superhero name is "Quick Beard." :D
  13. Well, it's certainly not like lack of stubble is anywhere near a deal-breaker! ;)
  14. Oooh, that's a cool idea! As long as she doesn't get too jealous of Emma and try to make her walk the plank. ;)
  15. Eh, it's mostly their agents and publicists who do that. I finally found the ballots on the Emmy website. I'm surprised Lana submitted for supporting instead of lead. [OT]Of course, IMO, if any actress other than Tatiana Maslany wins for lead, it's not valid. Though since she's on a sci-fi show, I wouldn't be surprised if she wasn't even nominated.[/OT]
  16. Is there a link where we can see the ballots? Or do you have to be an Academy member?
  17. I prefer the scruff. Maybe it's just what I'm used to on him, but I think it makes him hotter.
  18. The thread title is Spoilers and Spoilery Discussion, so I would think speculation discussion based on spoilers would fit here. The Speculation thread says "no spoilers."
  19. If I were Emma, I would not trust Regina with my stuff right now! :)
  20. Better picture here. He really does look different without the Hook beard. I'm really surprised he's not scruffy for this film, too. How is a broke-down musician not scruffy and with a nice haircut??
  21. Well, now, there's CLEARLY more to the Paul story after this ep. Now he's "a ghost" who's "on it."
  22. Holy Tilda Swinton! "Orphan Black" just keeps. blowing. my. mind. Add me to those watching the Felix/Tony kiss through a thick, cringing haze of "Eeew! No! Don't! Eeew!" I don't keep up with the spec and spoilers for the show, so a transgender clone was completely unexpected to me. This show always finds interesting ways to do things. And now Paul has disappeared and is "on it," whatever that means, and Tony's apparent monitor knew him. ::runs around in a circle screaming "What?? What???":: The scene where Cosima told Scott that she's the test subject was heart-breaking. You could see that he KNEW how very, very sick she is. ::pets Cosima:: Is Kira going to be some kind of genetic savant who comes up with how to save her aunties?
  23. Until the curse was cast, he couldn't get back to her even with a bean, at least according to the way they've now set up travel between their world and ours. He told Emma that once the curse was cast, the walls between our worlds came down and travel between the worlds was possible again, so he could get to her as long as he had a bean. No, I don't know how Bae was able to get to the Darlings' time with a magic bean back then, but now they seem to be saying that travel between our worlds is possible only when the Dark Curse is in effect.
  24. Of course I would dearly love more on Hook's background, but I'm not counting on getting much more of it. Though I totally think they could delve into who his father was for a rich storyline at some point. I go against what seems to be the popular current of him being Blackbeard, though I wouldn't be averse to him being Davy Jones. They could totally have a half-season with Davy Jones/Ursula as antagonists, and that could rock. Just because Killian's father was a fugitive doesn't mean they were poor or uneducated. They could have been living comfortably in supposed anonymity until they were found out. His fugitive status could have been anything from "former pirate" to "stole priceless objects from the queen" to "ran off with a princess against her parents' wishes" to even "you're the rightful heir to the realm and the usurper wants to kill you so you can't claim the throne." It's intriguing, and I want it. Liam to me seemed a fairish bit older than Killian, and in my head-canon, Liam was already at sea or in the naval academy when their father abandoned Killian. So he probably had some amount of time on his own as a street urchin before reuniting with Liam, unless the captain of whatever ship they were on let Killian stay aboard as a cabin boy. He could have been adopted by some kindly rich widow and educated. (I'm assuming their mother died when Killian was very young, since she hasn't been mentioned.) So many possibilities!
