Spoiler Discussion: The apple was poisoned?!
Souris replied to regularlyleaded's topic in Once Upon A Time
They probably wanted to go ahead and wrap up the actress before she got another gig, so I can't fault them too much for that. Even if it is rather repetitive. -

TVLine. I think the Belle ep is wrong; Ep 5 is the Emma (and Regina, of course) ep, right?: -

If this weren't Frozen, maybe. But Disney would never allow that change to the Elsa/Anna relationship. -
Fandom and Viewer Issues: "Fan" Is Short for "Fanatic"
Souris replied to Emma's topic in Once Upon A Time
I wouldn't really agree with that quote, because I think fandom is not exactly either. I don't think blind worship is good or healthy, and there's generally some amount of criticism in a fandom, but one needs to respect what is actually canon vs. what is fanon. -
Ratings and Scheduling: Who's the fairest of them all?

I figured exactly the same thing. They're not going to let Once one-up them on the actual Anna-Kristoff wedding. -
Fandom and Viewer Issues: "Fan" Is Short for "Fanatic"

Absolutely. I can't tell you how many times I've seen somebody defend a rude tweet or post with "I was just expressing my opinion. I'm entitled to my own opinion!" Too many people think that "it's my opinion" absolves them of rudeness. Nope, I'm sorry, but having an opinion does not give you carte blanche to be a jerk. You could express your opinion in a calm way without insulting anybody if you wanted to, but you didn't. So don't be surprised if you get called on it. It's a lot more about the tone and inappropriateness of what these problematic fans say, rather than their actual opinion. -

Nothing much, except it seems to be a looser crop so you can see Hook holding a walkie talkie as he says, "She's freezing to death!" The significance is that there's a walkie talkie by Emma in one of the BTS promos pics. So they're probably talking as Emma is trapped with Elsa. (I imagine Elsa will be, "WTF? Why is there a voice coming from that magic box??") -

Possibly, but not necessarily. He might be forced to seek out Rumple and/or Belle for some reason related to Emma fleeing because of her magic getting out of control. Or maybe he's resolved to tell Belle the truth about the dagger switch. I wonder if there's a troll mirror in that house that gets broken.... -
A Thread for All Seasons: OUaT Across All Realms

Interesting. That seems to dovetail with the ratings drop in S2 and definitely suggests a correlation. Anecdotal evidence, but it fits the ratings pattern. A lot of us here really didn't like the latter part of S2, and it sounds like we're not alone. It's unfortunate that A&E seem to have learned nothing from that and even seem like they're in danger of going down the same path in S4, only with Emma in the Snow role this time. I think they completely have a blind spot when it comes to Regina Sue. They love her so much that they don't see or accept that others don't see her in the same way, so they just keep doing the same stuff over and over with her. It's their show, so it's up to them to do what they will, of course -- but viewers will ultimately vote with their remotes (or computers). We'll see how the Frozen ratings surge holds up balanced against the usual storylines. Though new viewers won't be treated to seeing or hearing about Regina's crimes, so they may be more open to her being presented as the show's ultimate victim. -

David's wig, OMG. Maybe Anna gets him to cut his hair like Kristoff did. Though obviously Shepherd!David's hair was always tragic. -

Oh, man, Warlord Bo Peep. I can't even. It's all I can do not to bust a gut laughing in the middle of the office over that one. I wonder if she has tough sheep henchmen? -

The hair seemed darker than Josh's to me, but maybe it was my TV. I'm guessing they're out looking for Elsa and she creates the snow cave, trapping Emma inside and leaving Charming and Hook outside, and Charming gets buried/almost buried, but Hook is able to free him. Then they go to Gold's shop for help. -

JMo tweeted that her favorite Captain Swan scene "hasn't aired yet." And Lana tweeted that her favorite scenes to film are in 4x05. So I'm afraid our fears of Emma's flashback ep being turned into a Regina ep are probably spot-on. That's probably the Emma-Regina ep. Because God forbid Emma have an ep of her own. -

Can anybody tell who the guy is who is getting buried under an avalanche in the preview clip at the end of the ep? I've tried so many times and can't tell. (It could be a stuntman, of course.) At first I thought it was Robin, but now I think maybe it's Will. His hair is really short. -

Here's a place to talk about fan art, fan videos and other creative works. So I was so amused by the continued usage of the word "complicated" by Colin and others in interviews that I felt compelled to created a Season 4 cast interview Bingo card. I expect you could probably get Bingo after one interview or article.

Sometimes they say they're casting for "A" when they're really casting for "B" -- they just don't want people to know that they're casting for "B." If they said they were casting for a duke, everyone would have screamed "Duke of Weselton!" But princes are a dime a dozen on Once. I'm not saying that's definitely the case here, but it happens. -

I didn't mean that the Duke of Weselton was Hook's father! That would indeed be chronologically impossible. I just meant that the Duke might actually be who they were casting for. I would also like Davy Jones to be Hook's father. -

I'm suspecting it's the Duke of Weselton from Frozen. Somebody that was on set seems to be hinting at that. Video interviews with Colin and Jen from the premiere. -

And, unsurprisingly, some of the same SQ fans who regularly send JMo hate on Twitter -- especially if she does anything pro-Captain Swan -- are now praising her. Ah, fandom hypocrisy! -

I think I just had a rage blackout. I suppose they could reveal some things without flashbacks. I hope it amounts to more than the "wrestling" over Snowflake's name.
