  1. Shanna Marie, I wish I could hold open A&E's eyes with toothpicks and force them to read your post. And Camera One, you've proven you're a better plotter than A&E. I know that's damning with faint praise, but well done!
  2. So instead of an ice cave, the male villain will lurk in a obelisk?
  3. I woke up with another horrible, horrible thought this morning: Emma moves in with Regina and Henry since she needs a new place and Regina has that big house. I can't even with myself. I don't know what my sleeping brain does to come up with such awful scenarios, but I don't like it! I didn't even eat something crazy beforehand. REM sleep must mean Really Evil Masochism for me.
  4. Maybe magical people are unaffected, but the nonmagical simply turn on everybody, whether magical or not. They weren't there in the Big Street Scrum, but I wonder if Belle turns on Rumple. Which would be annoying, because it would mask her actual legitimate anger at finding out about the dagger. I think they don't have more male villains because they can't figure out how to costume them without the boobage.
  5. Queerbaiting and pacifying the bullies, that's why.
  6. "Ooo!" indeed! I love that theory. I would guess that Ana hasn't sent the White Rabbit either b/c 1) Will is on some mission with her blessing and he hasn't finished yet, or 2) She doesn't know where he is, or 3) She can't because she's trapped in the hat or elsewhere. I prefer the first.
  7. [small voice]What's a BNF?[/small voice] My mind is guessing Big Name Fan, but I don't know!
  8. Yep, it's never going to backfire on Lana. She's Teflon to her fans. But IMO it's definitely devolved into straight-up queerbaiting with this ep and its promotion. (OK, that pun wasn't intentional, but I'm going to leave it.) And it's also pandering to and rewarding the bullying SQ fans, so that sucks. And it's never going to pacify them, because they're so demanding. There are a lot of levels to be disappointed about here.
  9. Castro said three FEMALE villains, though, so I don't think he could be talking about Gold, Hook or even Terry O'Quinn in drag ;). One will be Maleficent. I suspect the other two will come out of the hat.
  10. I don't know, so much in the ep felt like queer-baiting to me. It's not something I generally see on the show, but I thought there was a bunch in the ep. Even down to Will asking if MM was married to "the blonde" when she said she was married to the sheriff.
  11. Yeah, I mostly stayed here and on people I follow on Tumbler, so I saw a lot of outrage, which is what I meant by blowback. No clue about the general fandom -- and I probably don't want to know. But maybe Emma fans need to be a little squeakier, since that seems to be what works in this fandom! (But logical/intelligent squeaky, not entitled/bullying squeaky.) If all TPTB hear from is Regina stans, they'll assume that's what most people want -- especially since it seems to fall in line with their proclivities. The fact that SQ and Regina fans were thrilled with the ep speaks volumes about how they feel about Emma. I don't think anybody who actually likes Emma would have enjoyed seeing her put through the verbal abuse she got in this ep.
  12. People who harass authors about how they should write or tag their fanfics just show more of that entitlement that runs rampant in certain portions of this fandom. If they think they have the right to demand things of the show's writers, it stands to reason in their twisted logic they'd think they have the right to demand things of fanfic authors. Because their way is the "right" way. Valid criticism is one thing, but harassing based on a personal fanon is another kettle of fish.
  13. I've noticed Adam and all the writers have been very quiet on Twitter yesterday and today, with little to no Once-related interaction. It could simply be a coincidence or that they're busy, but given the ep on Sunday, it makes me wonder. I haven't looked to see what people are tweeting to them, whether there is a lot of blowback they're wanting to avoid or not. I just thought it was interesting.
  14. I noticed that about the box! I wonder what's up with that. Also, something about the pics makes it looks like she's spying on Anna and Kristoff kissing.
  15. Holy run-on sentence, Batman! That press release is ridiculous. Especially that first conglomeration of words. I mean, sentence. It has more clauses than a Santa convention.
  16. Well, she hasn't killed her. 10,000 gold stars for Regina!
  17. I don't know how much the general public reads the entertainment blogs (I'm sure it's a very small portion), but all the publicity for this ep was "it's the Swan Queen ep" and Lana talking about Regina being rude to Emma and Emma deserving it -- nothing that I think would be overly inviting to the general public to get them to watch it live.
  18. Count me as another who'd be really curious to see the half-hour splits.
  19. So was DQ piecing together a mirror from pieces of other mirrors? Dark-magic mirrors? Or did she have a broken mirror and simply repaired it with a piece from Regina's mirror? That mirror is so getting broken and sending out see-only-ugly shards.
  20. Nice call! But she's replacing her nonmagical sisters with magical ones. No Muggles!
  21. I am still not sure whether this sort of thing goes in the Media thread, but Colin and JMo at a Whitecaps game. I am disproportionally amused by the fact that she's giving him bunny ears. And from JMo's Twitter. FYI, the guy on the far right in this pic is Georgina Haig's husband, Josh Mapleston.
  22. I said he doesn't care about the fandumb, not the fandom. Not the same thing at all, though you may have thought I made a typo. I know he's very gracious to the general fandom of polite fans. But he definitely has a persona where you can tell he wouldn't put up with asshat behavior, aka "fandumb."
  23. Because they know he absolutely won't take their shit? And he truthfully doesn't give a rat's ass anyway. He has a very "no fucks are given" attitude. Bullies target those who will give them the response they seek or who they perceive as weak or susceptible. They know they're not going to get anything out of him.
