  1. I've seen that theory, too, but it just doesn't fit with the scene of Emma with the dagger. I just don't see it happening. I mean, I'd prefer it to dark Emma, but then next season would just be everybody rallying to save Regina from darkness, and this entire half-season has been about everybody rallying to get Regina her happy ending. No more of that nonsense!
  2. Really interesting article -- thanks for posting! In general, I've never really hate-watched a show, because who has time for that? There are too many choices of other things to watch. If I started to dislike a show, I just turned it off -- even shows I was once an uber-fan of. I've dropped a LOT of shows. I do think for some viewers it's fun. It's like heckling or MST3K. People are free to watch a show for any reason they want to, even if it's just to snark, so it's totally up to them. For others, I think it serves as a transition period between loving a show and giving up on it. Like you hate what it has become, but there's still enough hope there that maybe things will get better, so you hang on out of hope or loyalty, but you're dissatisfied, so that's what you have to express. And maybe it's like a stages of grief thing, with a long anger stage. I believe Once has fit into the latter category for me.
  3. Creepily, yes, since he was originally human and he had a human form with Emma. So unpleasant to think about!
  4. W is for Woegina. W is really for the Wardrobe Department.
  5. But Josh said the Big Bad is the worst thing that could happen and will be distressing to fans. So it's kind of conflicting messages at the moment…. I tend to believe Josh more since he doesn't have a long history of problematic spoiler BS.
  6. I don't, I'm afraid. It was in a private message, and I didn't investigate. It's probably just one or two disgruntled fans and will amount to nothing.
  7. And there you have the show in a nutshell.
  8. Hmmm. I hadn't considered that possibility. Interesting. It could happen. In any case, I refuse to have any hope that it will be Hook with TLK or something, because it doesn't pay to have hope for good things on this show.
  9. That's what I would want to happen and what would make sense, but I just can't believe that they're going to have Hook be the one to "save" Emma. He may try, but I still think it will ultimately be Regina, because TS, TW, TRP (I'm adding Their Regina Permaboner to the string).
  10. I think I had that feeling after 4x11. I've tried to pretend it's not dead, only resting or in a coma or something, but yeah, it's dead. Last night made that abundantly clear. There's no coming back from the destruction they've visited upon the show and its characters. Absolutely! Kvetching with you fine people here has kept me tethered to the show. I'd miss y'all far more than the show at this point if I gave it all up! I doubt I'll watch much, if any, of the show for the rest of the season, but I still want to keep up enough to continue snarking and talking with y'all. But, yeah, they've systematically ruined everything I loved about the show and keep doubling down on everything I hate. They really are in some other universe when it comes to storytelling, morality and what's entertaining. Hook and Emma were the only things keeping me watching, but it's clear the show doesn't care about their relationship anymore, so they've squandered all that wonderful depth and magic it used to have.
  11. I'm taking a break from Twitter because I'm pretty over the show at this point, though I did hear something about some SQ/RB fans trying to start a petition to end the show. I don't know any details and haven't paid any attention to it, but whatever. That's stupid.
  12. It spans two eps. Yippee. Not sure at what point the homecoming takes place in the next ep. Probably near the end.
  13. Ratings for last night from Marc Berman: 8:00 p.m. ABC – Once Upon a Time Viewers: 5.16 million (#2), A18-49: 1.6/ 5 (#2) ———- 8:30 p.m. ABC – Once Upon a Time Viewers: 5.08 million (#2), A18-49: 1.7/ 5 (#2)
  14. Preparing the fans because they know it will be upsetting?
  15. Jennifer has said time and again that her favorite thing about Emma is her goodness and how she always tries to do the right thing. :(
  16. Yep. That's exactly what this setup means. I was referring to the idea of a panicky summer planning session. I'm sure Evil Emma was their plan. As is their "twist" of flipping her role with Regina and making Regina the ultimate savior.
  17. I can't decide whether I think they're stressed and worried about how 4B is going, or they honestly think everything is hunky-dory with the show. In any case, panicky decisions never result in anything good.
  18. It's Regina. She can do anything! Probably with the pure light magic of the hangnail on her little toe. I assume she will talk to her about her life and feelings and will eventually break through Emma's evil with the power of her words, getting Emma to choose light. Or some such Regina nonsense.
  19. Unless that means the Emma we know & love is gone forever.
  20. Interview with Josh. So I guess Emma is the Big Bad for S5. I am not here for this. You know it's only to show Emma could be even more evil than Regina, so we can't hold Regina to her crimes. And, of course, Regina will be the one to bring Emma back from darkness, because she's learned and changed so much and is the only one who can understand what Emma is going through. All hail St. Regina! I think I'm done. That sounds like the straw that will break this camel's back.
  21. I would've said Camelot, but I just figure the show will ruin or waste it, so the Arthurian fan in me couldn't choose it. And that's just a sad commentary on the show, frankly.
