I'm watching "Soap" on the Antenna channel. They run a disclaimer between the episodes about it being an adult-oriented ongoing story. The most recent one looked like a Jeopardy! answer - white text on a blue screen. And it hit me - that blue is the same as your computer's "Blue Screen of Death" when it crashes. LOL

I'm pretty sure I'd seen the formation in pictures before (never in person), but I'm not sure I knew the name until Close Encounters. I don't even remember if they said the name of the place, but articles & reviews of the movie did, so that seared the name into my memory.

I was totally boggled by the "Transamerica Building" FJ response.

It's the title - "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?" Mentioning a song made me first think of a musical, but it's just the title based on the title of a Disney song.

Part of the song "Shuffle Off to Buffalo" (on the way to get married & see Niagara Falls) is the cynical "When she knows as much as we know, she'll be on her way to Reno, in a year or so..."

The older he gets, the more Crystal looks like Miracle Max. Whoever did his makeup in The Princess Bride was spot on.

Remember, if you do that, you have to call it "Godfrey Soup." Bwaahahahaha

The actress who played Missy played a cop in "A Remarkable Place to Die" on Acorn.

Back in the 50's, the Arthur Godfrey Show was sponsored in part by Lipton, makers of dehydrated chicken noodle soup. My mom would sometimes make this and add beaten eggs into it. I'm sure she got that from one of the commercials, as we weren't big on Chinese food and the fact that she always called it "Godfrey Soup." I didn't know it was called Egg Drop Soup until I was an adult.

I'm really hating on the Damp-Rid ad where a family comes into a house with a musty odor. Mom says, "The damp!" Dad says, "The damp!" Gran says, "Da-amp." Kid says, "Da-amp," and promptly gets told by Dad, "Language!"

What if it's "movie money" - essentially a prop? Did we know that Becky is played by Auden Wyle, Noah's real-life daughter?

I got one. A guy called & said, "Grandma?" and I asked him, "Which grandchild is this?" He hung up. I was all set to tell him he's dead to me unless he marries that pregnant girl, but, damn, he hung up. I knew it was a scam because I don't have any kids, much less grandkids. LOL

I use duckduckgo for a search engine. It first gives a summary in AI and then lists the articles. The article immediately below the AI gave the square kilometers of the two countries, so I knew THAT part of AI was correct.

Haiti is smaller than Suriname? I guess I have some googling to do. ETA: I hate AI. "Haiti is larger than Suriname. Haiti covers an area of approximately 27,750 square kilometers, while Suriname is about 163,820 square kilometers." How, in any part of the universe, is 27,750 larger than 163,820?

But he was such a good antagonist.

We are so nice. Sometimes, watching those "reels" on Facebook, the comments are so wildly hateful. I can just imagine what would be said if someone accidentally read a spoiler. I like it much better over here, where we're adults.
