  1. Personally, I don't think ankle boots/"booties" flatter very many people. You have to have really long, shapely legs to pull off that look, and worn with dresses or skirts, they can make even the most gorgeous woman look stumpy. Ankle boots are a trend, however, and another year or two and they will be out of fashion again, and people will go back to wearing them more appropriately with pants. YMMV, of course.

  3. Back when The Good Wife was first moved to Sundays (grrrr!) I set my DVR to end my weekly TGW recording 90 minutes later--I have NEVER missed a minute of that show since doing that. Tonight, since I wanted to check out Madam Secretary which airs BEFORE The Good Wife, I just set the DVR for its regular time slot, and both shows may have been delayed tonight, but our recordings are in good shape. I'm in the Central time zone, if that makes a difference.
  4. If Alicia does run for State's Attorney, it sure would create some interesting changes. However, I should think that having the governor's wife run for such a position would be.....weird. However, it does look like they are writing Finn out of the show. If Florrick-Agos goes forward with Diane Lockhart, that may indicate that MJFox's character, Louis Canning, will be sticking around as a more regular cast member. Not sure I'd be a fan of that, as his schtick is only tolerable in smallish doses. I don't think we'd heard the last of Jackie's attitude about whatever Alicia and Peter's relationship has become. Heh. With the emotional confrontation between Cary Agos and Alicia, there will likely be repercussions in their working relationship going forward. Speaking of Cary, it was interesting to see "the other Cary" play such a prominent role tonight after being absent for so long. Just wanted to add that someone upthread mentioned that there is backstage stuff stopping Kalinda and Alicia scenes, but I'd bet Kalinda will come with Diane to FA, so I guess we shall see how that aspect plays out soon enough.
  5. In the last scene, Red was taking off his shirt to reveal what looked like extensive (healed) burn wounds, consistent with having been involved in a massive fire.
  6. Speaking of "wigtastic," It sure looks to me like the actress has grown out her own hair now and is no longer wearing a wig. Even if she were wearing a lace-front wig with a monofilament top, the thickness of her hair at the part-line is much reduced now. Looks so much better! Doesn't make her act better, unfortunately. Heh.
  7. I kept thinking we'd see what Cary was up to in the FA offices since he seemed so determined to keep her from the premises. Guess he really did want her to take a day off. Damn, I was so hoping she'd turn around and go meet The Pretty back at the bar. Let's hope she gets some mojo back by the end of the season. Looks like Kalinda is sussing out Lee and Canning's shenanigans. Go Diane!
  8. Donald Sterling, embattled owner of the LA Clippers, has already admitted that it WAS his voice on that recording.
  9. Considering her mother's flaky marital and personal past, we can only imagine the advice Alicia would receive from her. Nestor Carbonell is quite dishy, so I could see Alicia's head being turned by him. Check out the finale spoiler under the Spoilers topic.
  10. Does anyone here follow Will McAvoy on Twitter? Like a fair number of television characters, he has a Twitter account, and whoever is maintaining it posts frequently. The posts do a pretty good job of reflecting the character's political and social attitudes.
  11. Replying to my own post: hey, I just noticed that they DID put a modesty panel on Seth's desk; it's probably an entirely new desk. Much better! Now about that puny guest chair...........
  12. In the hospital scene, which I thought was well-acted, BTW, notice Finn referred to his wife and children. So if TPTB are looking at putting him together with Alicia down the road, they will have to deal with those obstacles. I do think Goode is fitting in with the cast nicely already, but Alicia really needs to not be in a relationship for a while. I have hopes that she and Peter will have a massive falling-out and they will formally separate.
  13. Yes, picklesprite-- Finn told Alicia Will was trying to get hold of Damian; apparently it was that insufferable Irish jerk who was poaching clients from LG. Please let this signal the end of Damian. He needs to get off this show immediately.
  14. This topic replaces the old Late Night With Seth Meyers forum which has been vaulted at the location below: http://forums.previously.tv/forum/259-late-night-with-seth-meyers-v/
