  1. I don't need to pay for Peloton, my family will yell at me for free.
  2. How soon until they start advertising the anti-aging drug for dogs?
  3. Without knowing anything about her, I sort of assumed she came from an improv background. She had the feel around her.
  4. On Thurs. 11/30, H&I will show the "Maverick" episode parodying "Bonanza". "Maverick" occasionally parodied other Westerns popular at the time, such as Gunsmoke" and "Have Gun Will Travel".
  5. There should be a law requiring the playing of "Turkey's Away" on Thanksgiving.
  6. The movie is epically bad. If you knew nothing about Napoleon before seeing the movie, you'll continue to know nothing after seeing it.
  7. W.D. Richter the writer is also the director of "Buckaroo Banzai" and writer of "Big Trouble in Little China" two other off-beat films.
  8. We've discussed this movie once before, but those who haven't see it, "Slither" (1973) is on this afternoon (11/21). An off-beat crime comedy starring James Caan and Sally Kellerman, with a nice cast of characters. Something like a pre-Coen Brothers movie. It's a forgotten movie that shows up only rarely.
  9. I was going to mention Mark Lenard/Spock. This seemed like as much an Artemus episode as a Jim West. Not one of the best, but okay. A lot of empty crates got destroyed in this episode.
  10. It is if you're working to make Napoleon look as bad as possible. They even have Napoleon hitting Josephine. IMO Napoleon and Josephine both loved each other, just not to the same degree at the same time. A lot of marriages are like that.
  11. We didn't give the person millions of dollars, but we didn't give them the $100,000 either. It was very difficult trying to come up with an amount, as we were given no guidelines for making the decision. I'd rather determine guilt or innocence, than do this figuring out compensation. We were all at a loss.
  12. I was on a jury in a malpractice suit. The doctor admitted his guilt so our only job was to determine how much the defendant should get. The defendant was asking for several millions of dollars and the doctor's insurance company was offering $100,000. So that discrepancy isn't unusual, I think.
  13. Although my father served in a B-24 squadron (he always thought the B-17 got all the attention- his theory being that the B-17 bases were closer to London), the book was very good and based on "Band of Brothers", this will probably be as good.
  14. He told people who point out errors in the movie to "get a life." That pretty much sums up how accurate its going to be.
  15. That's not uncommon in TV shows and movies. A number of comedies made fun of this.
  16. I might have been worse than I remember!
  17. They are still running some movies this week, a bunch on Weds. 11/8. I'm recording "The Illustrated Man" because I haven't seen it since it first came out. I wonder if it will be as bad as I remember.
  18. Hopefully he can figure out how to open a pizza box.
  19. Cost-saving move. If you watch "Maverick" when ever one of the Mavericks go to a larger city they always have stock footage from older Western movies of street scenes. Then the actual set is just the studio's general western street.
  20. But Idaho potatoes are "Famous Potatoes"! (Plus, what else does Idaho have? We gotta give them a break.)
