Pote’s voicemail message to KA was really weird. He uses her real name and flat out says that he is going to Belize and will come for her later….And this is after she just got abducted and after he talked about how careful they need to be? I’m assuming that he’s in on the fake death plan (which is what I think it is), and purposely wanted to mention Belize, or that’s just a really big lapse.

Is there a post somewhere that explains the process this year? I’ve been in and out, so I’ve missed a bunch of the discussion, and I’m a bit confused. I know the semis were virtual, but were finals as well? We’re vets automatically advanced to training camp? Sorry in advance if this has been asked a bunch of times before.
-
Yeah, that was kind of ridiculous. I guess there may be people who may be gullible enough to do that, but I don’t know anyone, who lets neighbors who just moved in, roam around the house alone. I wonder if there is an underlying story to the neighbors and they will play a role in the finale. If not, I’m surprised by how much time they spent on them in the second to last episode of the series.

I don’t believe Teresa is dead. If this had happened in the actual finale, I would believe it, but not in the episode before the finale. I also think the show has been dropping little clues all along that the endgame was an escape plan. If the show ends next week with Teresa dead from that shot, I will be shocked. Teresa actually held out longer than I thought she would with James, but I think she really thought her hours may be numbered, so what the hell - may as well get some while you can! I figured that as soon as I saw that “S” in the TV14 ratings that it would be James and Teresa having sex. There is another couple on the show, so I shouldn’t have been convinced, but Pote and KellyAnne bring the comedy, not the sexiness (which is probably why they don’t interest me as a couple, although both are favorites of mine on their own). I loved Pote coming in blasting, but the whole storyline with Kostya felt really rushed. I thought he was so hard to reach and only communicated through intermediaries, but Boaz seemed to reach him quick…Also, I don’t buy that Kostya’s men wouldn’t have shot Teresa as soon as blood starting coming out of his nose. I’m guessing Devon and Boaz don’t survive next week and maybe Chicho, but I wouldn’t be surprised if all 4 of Teresa, Pote, James, and KellyAnne live. I kind of feel like they would have killed them already if they were going to, but we’ll see. If one of them dies, I think it will be James (definitely if he actually killed Teresa, I think he’ll die, but again, I think that was part of a plan).

I think both of these things can be true, but that’s my main issue with the scene not being onscreen. I really have no idea if Teresa was serious about getting out of the business or not. The plan (real or fake) all went to hell anyway with Oksana’s death, but it would’ve been nice to get some insight into Teresa’s head.

Wow…just getting caught up. Very surprised by the VK news and even more surprised by the “leave of absence” description. They’re contract employees, correct? So, once the contract runs and she doesn’t resign (voluntarily or not), I’m not sure how she could be considered to be on a leave. Of course, the DCCs can come up with whatever rules they want, but this seems strange.

So, we’re finally seeing this Kostya dude….with 2 episodes to go. And Devon is back. And Boaz is still a nut and at war with Teresa. Goodness! There’s a lot to cover in 2 episodes. I still find the show to be a fun and easy watch, but I feel like the earlier seasons (1-3) did a much better job of having a coherent story with a villain or 2 that could easily be wrapped up in the end. This season and the last have a feel of throwing everything (new characters, new plot, etc) at the wall to fill up the hour. I knew from reading the episode descriptions (which I’m surprised are so revealing) that KellyAnne would survive, so the kidnapping scenes didn’t move me as much as they would have otherwise, but I’m glad she made it out. Teresa just saying out of the blue…”we’re getting out of the business.” Huh? When was this decision made? Maybe would’ve been nice to see her come to and talk about that decision. She was all in for Europe 2 episodes ago. I don’t get the “x hours earlier thing” either. I’ve never understood why this show seems to like that storytelling technique…

Yeah. Dawson’s Creek isn’t as bad as some of the others (One Tree Hill…I’m looking at you!) outside of Pacey and Joey’s summer vacation. I liked Pacey and Joey as a couple but that trip was so absurd….
-
Right, lol. I didn’t think this at the time. And maybe it’s because I’m in my thirties now, but looking back, it seems like so many of the teens show that I watched would’ve been more realistic if they had been in college and not minors.

I re-watched and forgot a few things… James telling Teresa that she is finally legit. Did I miss something or is she not still running a massive drug cartel and actively trying to expand. So, no James, she’s not there yet! I had also forgotten that Kelly Anne really thought Dumas was going to come to the party….Like, she really thought he was gonna leave prison, throw on a suit, and then head over to the party to celebrate Teresa! I swear….sometime they portray her as super smart and perceptive, and other times, she seems like a complete idiot. Also, I may be alone but I hated that big slit/gap in the back of Teresa’s blazer. I much preferred her white pantsuit in the previous episode when they killed the waterfront guys.

Million Dollar Listing NY - General Discussion

Yeah, I can definitely see that post-covid, but Ryan’s colleague made the comment about townhouses taking a hit in the market pre-covid. Yeah, the rush-rush showings seemed very tacky. I assume it was for show, but if not, that would’ve completely turned me off. And yes, not putting light fixtures in?!? Are you kidding! Also, are these people so above going to Macy’s or Target or Pottery Barn and getting some nice bedspreads and pillows, etc. to make a room look nicer?!? I get that these are very high end homes, but it seems like the main thing is for it to look nice, even if that means that you’re spending $35 rather than $500 on a pillow. That Marc Jacobs townhouse did not look nice (but…they sold it!). Agreed with all of the comments about Tyler’s sexist remarks. I generally like him, but his comments to the male models and about Steve last episode are completely inappropriate. -
This was a better episode than last week. Boaz isn’t going to win, but he’s crazy enough and knows enough about Teresa and Teresa’s operation to be a legitimate threat. Teresa held a big event at her safe house? She and KellyAnne have apparently haven’t heard about renting out a venue…. At this point, Pote needs to retire. He is off his game between turning his phone off and walking outside with no backup. I’m also over the Pote and KellyAnne pregnancy story. I didn’t like it to begin with, but those scenes dragged and the humor isn’t hitting for me like it should. I would’ve preferred more Teresa scenes. Does the show have any black writers? I thought it was a bit unrealistic that all of these black men would be pushing Marcel—who got sent to prison (even if only temporarily) for a crime he didn’t commit by Teresa— to work with her again, or that they even would be jumping to work with her again. She’s not the only person who can supply cocaine. Nice knowing you Taza. Not sure what the Castel thing is about, but it does seem like it’s common sense for Teresa to make sure she’ll have enough supply before making new deals that require the doubling of her shipment.

Yay for Tyler! I had such second hand embarrassment for him at times last season. Glad he got that one done. The townhouses that Fredrik and Ryan are selling are both amazing. Im not a New Yorker, so for anyone who is, is Fredrik’s location that much better than Ryan’s for it to be $12 million more? Also, I remember that Ryan’s colleague said that townhouses have been hit the hardest in the market. Does anyone know why that is? Cost? I’m still lukewarm on Kirsten, but I don’t mind her. I actually prefer her to Steve. He’s just so arrogant to me and not in a fun way. As over the top as Ryan and Fredrik are, they seem like they can laugh at themselves, as does Tyler. Steve seems like he cannot. -
Right! Of the 3 arcs in this episode (Europe, Waterfront/KellyAnne, Boaz/George), 2 of them involved new characters that I’m guessing we won’t see again - definitely not in the case of the waterfront sellers, who were introduced and killed in the same episode. With so many loose ends already, it seems odd to waste time like that. Yes. KellyAnne should be fired for that. Ensuring that there is access in and out of a property (any property) is basic due diligence.
-
I wonder that too. I would hate to see a Games of Thrones style ending, but its a possibility with the way it’s going. Teresa is really in a bad spot. George is dead, KA is getting kidnapped next week, Pote will be obsessing over KA/baby, Marcel is in jail and (rightfully) hates her, and Oksana is more trouble than she’s worth. Whether James’ heart is in it or not, he better pull it together because she can’t battle Boaz with Chicho as her #2 lol.

I feel like the show is limping to the finish line, which is unfortunate. I don’t understand why, with so few episodes left, the show is introducing European drug dealers and waterfront sellers for one episode arcs? Is there really time for this? Why is James giving the same sad looks and having the same concerned conversation with Teresa every episode? As much history as those 2 have, you would think they would have more to talk about! Does James know what Teresa went through while he was gone? Does she know exactly what he was doing while he was gone? Has he told her that her supplier (Castel) is a CIA asset? Why have we not gotten these conversations, but instead we repeatedly get James looking at Teresa concerned, and her looking miserable? And why does Pote seem like he’s doing nothing of significance this season? At this point, KellyAnne seems more important to the business than him. I’m sad to see George go. He was always one of my favorites, but his death was so predictable. You could see it coming from a mile away. I do think the Boaz war with Teresa should be good. I hope we at least get some emotion from Teresa. She’s been a robot nearly all season. George’s death should hit her hard though, since it’s kind of her fault.

I feel like furniture that is the wrong size for a room can be a real problem. Like, if furniture is too big, it can make a room look too small for the buyer’s furniture, or in this case, if the primary bedroom has no bed, it gives the impression that a king bed cannot fit. But furniture that’s just ugly? People really should be able to look past that. With that said, I’ve never been in the market for multi-million dollar homes, so maybe I would feel differently about ugly staging if I was lol. -
The term “colored” is now mainly associated with the Jim Crow era and associated with black people (though not exclusively). People of color is meant to be an inclusive term, collectively encompassing non-white minorities. I’m sad to see Alanna retire. She was never featured much, but she was one of my favorites. The other retirements are not surprising to me. ETA: Did I see that Sydney is retiring? I’m a bit surprised at that since one and dones are not common, but I guess I can see it. She cheered in college and another NFL team. I’m sure being a DCC and a Falcons cheerleader is night and day, and perhaps she missed home or wasn’t in to the eat, sleep, breathe DCC life.

I don’t ever remember George speaking Spanish on the show, but I just assumed all of the main characters knew Spanish. If he doesn’t, then it’s quite stupid for Teresa to send him down there. It already was since George is about as subtle as a sledgehammer, but that would be beyond dumb. The fact that Teresa doesn’t already have someone on the ground in Miami who she trusts enough to tell her what’s going on with the operation is a problem on it’s own.

It seemed like it may have made more sense for Tyler to just pull out and replace the the most hideous and distracting pieces, change the master into an actual bedroom, and then leave the rest of the staging in place. I know he thought that the seller would pay for the new staging, but still.... Idk. I just have no urge to watch him fail over and over again for another season, so I hope he sells this one. I wouldn’t want a 3rd floor condo though especially because (as someone mentioned) everyone on the upper levels can look down on the pool. There seems to be no privacy. I’m keeping an open mind on Kirsten. Didn’t love her or hate her on the first episode. I had gotten to the point where I really liked Fredrik, so I hope we’re not getting a return of Fredrik drama with the other brokers. Having Fredrik just swoop in and out of MDL (LA and NY) with manufactured drama every other week will be such a waste because he actually is one of the best brokers. -
That is true. My belief is solely based on the fact that 1) they have gotten a lot screentime, when they got very little in season 4; and 2) they’re happy now, and no one seems to stay happy too long on this show lol. That’s the main reason why I also think James and Teresa may end up together (if James doesn’t die, which is a real possibility IMO) because they’re not together or happy now. But you’re right, the show definitely could switch it up. Also, in terms of Boaz, I always think of him as someone who is loyal until he’s not - and you never know when that will be. I think Teresa and George’s very obvious snooping will accelerate him going against her, but I think it would’ve always happened eventually. Ive always thought it was odd that she gave so much free reign to a man who shot his brother point blank in the head to gain power.

I love Boaz. I just think he’s a fun character. I’ve always liked George too, but he was embarrassingly transparent! Just terrible. Really, it’s Teresa’s operation. She should’ve just gotten on a plane and went down there and told Boaz to show her how it works. Sending George to snoop around was cringeworthy! At the very least, she should’ve sent James. He is a better liar, stealthy, and wouldn’t have been so obvious, but hey, James is in Germany riding motorcycles, shooting up hotels, stealing Van Gogh paintings, sniping folks....I guess he can’t be everywhere. If James is not her highest paid employee, he should quit lol. As for Pote and KellyAnne. It does seem like something bad is coming their way. That’s honestly the only reason that I can think that they have forced (IMO) them so much this season. I like both characters on their own, but I find them as a couple and their baby story to be very boring and a waste of valuable screen time that could be going to more interesting plots. Oksana is a mess. Teresa needs to get away from her before she brings her more trouble.

All Past Seasons of the Late Lamented Show
Jess14 replied to ByTor's topic in Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making The Team
I thought Kat's dress was inappropriate, but I hated how they acted like they had no history with her. She was a vet, so clearly, she had been on appearances before. If she had always represented the DCCs well in the past (including her attire), and that appeared to be the case, then that should have had more weight than one poor choice of dress for an interview. Also, she was clearly embarrassed by the way Brenda dressed her down, so I think it's pretty safe to say that she was never going to make that error again. I did however think that she was one of the weaker dancers, so I didn't have an issue with her cut. I just thought her dress was the least of her issues.- 6.8k replies

I read an article from the writer that talked about how James is just exhausted and over this life, so the disinterest is by design. As a viewer, I know there are only 6 episodes left, and that the James and Teresa relationship has been one of the more important ones of the show, so they’re keeping him around because he’ll have a role in the show’s ending (whatever that is). However, for the character, I don’t understand why he would stick around.
