  1. Having watched the Felicity and Laurel sneak peek something I picked up was Felicity asking Laurel if that was the guy "at the bar". Are they drinking buddies now? The way these writers write forced friendships makes me wonder if they are missing genuine friendships, or genuine human interaction, to draw inspiration from in their real life.
  2. Love that the cake was focused on OTA......loathe Stephen/Olivers shirt
  3. My prediction and I could be off is he "dies" in the finale to be brought back in the premiere next season which will change the flash forwards. Either that or he "dies" just before the crossover to be brought back during the crossover which will change the course of the flash forwards. Ergo the flash forwards we are currently seeing are just a future if Oliver doesn't live. Either that or he's presumed dead but is really alive like Felicity. But I choose anything that means the bleak and bland future time line goes kaput for a better future where everybody is not dicks and Felicity and Oliver aren't made out to be potentially shitty ass parents who make Moira and Robert look like good parents in comparison.
  4. People are probably assuming that because Stephens going around talking about being given an unexpected vacation because Oliver's dead.
  5. People in the comments are suggesting a shutdown of the airports on super bowl weekend and since Stephen was all excited about going I could see him being all "Oh noes I might not be able to go and get drunk watching the Super Bowl with tickets I probably didn't even pay for, this shut down is the worst" because it affects him with out really caring that there are people actually having to survive off food stamps right now, unable to pay rent, mortgages, bills etc.
  6. I just went on the website and on the page where they order tickets it says there non refundable. Did it always say that or did they add that on after complaints?
  7. Considering that Dinah got all pissy over nothing in season 6 and quit the team and acted like Oliver was evil, she should consider it insurmountable but NTA have selected memory. See Rene forgetting that he was the one who put Oliver in jail, when he was crying about how he was all alone after Oliver went to prison as everyone else "moved on with their lives" except you know Oliver who was getting tortured on the daily, Felicity who was almost killed and forced to turn to BS cause no one else would help her and William who was sent off to boarding school. Yeah I'm bitter about that line and back to hating Rene.
  8. It looks like Stephens on vacation again so I'm guessing Oliver is still dead in the flash forwards in 7x16. At least we get Felicity because I'd be skipping it if I was stuck with an episode with some of the weakest actors on the show in one of the boringest storylines this season.
  9. I think there is also controversy around the director to isn't there? Like he had made racist tweets and was a Trump supporter? Also something to about how it involves the cliche of the white man coming to the black mans rescue? I also read that the whole central friendship the movies based on just never happened or was over exaggerated by a lot, and the family of the man the film is about were told about the film until it release. Also considering the last movie I recalled Stephen highly recommending was Money Ball Im not sure our tastes align lol.
  10. Could have been Sea in her Girl Green Arrow costume.
  11. I haven't been on twitter yet, any melt downs that "The Calculator" appears to be alive and well.
  12. Having watched the episode, I'm guessing Rene and his slimy cohort are the ones pushing the "Felicitys a criminal/evil" story out there right? Cause they seemed to imply they were the ones really out to destroy the city and that Felicity was trying to stop them. It still feels like they are making the flash forwards needlessly confusing. I laugh that after their whole the only people we can trust are each other from Dinah and Rene last season that they end up turning on each other in the future.
  13. So if I'm understanding it Amazon have suspended or kicked WB out because WB had issues on how they were pricing? I guess Amazon is a powerful enough company that if one content provider gets pissy they can just cut them off without affecting their bottom line. As for Arrow, I feel like part of the reason the CW keeps their shows going so long even though they are only getting a little over a million viewers, some of the less then a million, is less to do with quality or how happy or unhappy the audience is with the show, but more to do with the fact that the longer shows are on the more potential they have to make any money. From the few articles Ive read it seems like CW business is almost solely reliant on their very expensive Netflix deal. So as long as they keep providing Netflix with content and Netflix keep providing them with money, I feel like their opinions on the quality of their programming is secondary.
  14. Yes Felicity is generally more then not in one place. She's usually operating out of the bunker but as there is no bunker she's now operating out of home. I don't want to make assumptions of shows I haven't watched but isn't it the same with a lot of the Flash cast primarily having scenes at Star Labs?
  15. See if that were to happen it would just make it easier for me to stop being so invested lol.
  16. Is it weird though? The episode was from a brand new characters perspective. It was essentially Emikos big coming out party. Hence Felicity AND Oliver taking a back seat. Doesnt mean it wasn't a shit show, but it's a shit show with an intended purpose that has nothing to do with Felicity nor an indictment on her. As for the flash forwards the only redeeming quality so far is, if you watch the show, they are all about Felicity- is Felicity dead? Is she evil? Is she a hero? Why is she sending messages or people on a clue hunting journey? How does she know BlackStar/Maya? Why are they working together? It seems the whole flash forward is Felicitys back story.
  17. Having now watched the Hulu Fyre doco I still prefer the Netflix one, despite offering a couple of new angles. But I will say it did offer two awesome moments to me. First being Billy's mothers letter defending her son with such brilliant defence arguments like how her son could walk and talk before other children. Second being that I kept getting distracted by the Instagram model Alyssa Lynch who was interviewed in the doco, who looked so much like Cassandra Amell to me. She spoke about how she recieved a luxury villa while the rest of the attendees went through hell. Her insincere "I felt bad for everyone else" followed by her giggling had me convinced she would be the perfect person to play Stephens wife in the movie of his life.
  18. Ugh the idea watching this episode later already feel like a chore to me lol. I usually watch episodes delayed not live due to time differences and honestly with the exception of season 5 (which I feel like I may have been more engaged and positive with) this is the first season where I'm not motivated to want to watch episodes, where I feel like I'm not missing anything if I don't watch. Like there's couple of episodes this season (the crossover, 7x08 and 7x04) where I've just watched the Olicity clips or short clips of important scenes involving other characters on YouTube. The problem is I've yet to find another show which has grabbed a hold of me like Arrow did at its best or characters who I'm invested in as much. Pitch was close, but they had to go and cancel it.
  19. Considering during that time Beth quite often wrote episodes with Wendy and was seen as Wendy's natural successor I hardly think she was under duress and had absolutely no involvement in storyline choices now. And again, this season of the show is not really distinctive from prior seasons as being of higher quality. They still show the same pattern of problems that previous seasons of Arrow have had that seem consistent with the show as a whole.
  20. Beth was there under Mercle though. She's been here since the beginning. And I remember reading a tweet from her saying all writers have a say in storylines in the writers room. So she is as equally involved in the choices in former seasons as Wendy and Marc were. And to be honest, imo so far Beth hasnt shown much distinction from how the show was formerly run. Plot still is placed over character, the show still moves in terms of hitting tent poles without progressing naturally, they still write characters and relationships illogically to fit or justify storylines and they still over crowd the show with characters then can't seem to reasonably juggle them all. Especially since when LYLA came/comes to Oliver for help Oliver immeadiately and without question always helps her. In fact didn't he even emotionally support her in 3x08 when Diggle was upset at her about Argus choices.
  21. Unfortunately we don't have Hulu where I'm from. But I read a comparison article and they seem to suggest the Netflix was the more in depth doco so I highly recommend it. They really lay out the time line of events in detail innand engaging way, and as much as I don't have huge amounts of sympathy for the employees I will give them credit that they gave engaging interviews where they were honest, self aware of their failings and their own culpability that was refereashing to see in a documentary like this. I've also read that the Hulu doco over exaggerates or falsely exaggerates Jerry Medias role in the fiasco because of their own rivalry and hostility with Netflix who produced the documentary with Jerry Media. Apparently they rushed to get their doco produced and out a couple days before Netflix's simply to screw them. Still I'd have liked to seen Hulus cause they interview Billy don't they? That's the only thing that's missing from the Netflix one is that you don't really get much of his side in the doco. Although considering he seems to be a compulsive liar maybe it's not needed lol I still am undecided in whether they were honest in their desire to live up to their promises and were just grossly inexperienced, overwhelmed and ultimately incompetent or whether elements of the organisation intentionally set out to defraud people and just lead their other employees on. I also 100% believe Ja Rule is more culpable then he is letting on. And he and some of the other higher ups should be facing equal legal action. And I didn't have huge amounts of respect for Instagram models and social influencers like Kendall Jenner or Emily Ratajowski- mainly because I feel they are narcistic, greedy, and have shallow concerns- but this doco hasn't helped lift them in my esteem. I know that they were just paid to promote the event and we're doing their jobs but the fact that all of them have deleted their posts and haven't acknowledged any of the drama of an event they were a significant reason for why people brought tickets in the first place, I find kind of shitty. I mean some of them were getting paid $250,000 for one post on the event. I hope the class action against all the models leads to celebrities reevaluating the ethics of using their social media platforms to push products on their followers without acknowledging that they've been paid to do so.
  22. Watching the Fyre Festival Netflix documentary is like watching a train wreck you can't look away from, except the people on the train are all preppy fratish captalist wolf of Wall Street wannabe douche bags. The only people I feel sorry for are the Bahamian people who got taken advantage of and were basically unpaid workforce.
