I like Leah, too, but I wish she had left her face alone. Very distracting & her smile is really unattractive. I think the something missing is GOOD WRITING! Maybe 1 or 2 laughs every 5 episodes - not enough for a sitcom.

Hoo, boy - that was some unimpressive evening. Joni Mitchell, Foreigner? Gah! I would not even be able to choose a favorite. Were there several who sounded off-key to anyone else? I wish there were judges who were honest with them. Oh, Gawd, Davon - would someone tell him to stop screaming, please? True, true! Although I was getting a Jimmy Clanton/Jerry Lee Lewis vibe from him. Just the hair, I guess.

Whoopie is often at a loss for words, & very inarticulate. Thank you Tosia, above, couldn't have said it better!!

I don't think people should be hounded to comment on certain situations. Personally, I wouldn't know what to say.

Can't warm up to this show. What a waste of Eugene Levy.

No, he couldn't - he's one creepy guy. -

Don't get Strahan's appeal. Kelly's well rid of him. -
How about Al Franken? I heard he's looking for work.

Joy has had really good work done. I wish others would follow her lead of less is more (I'm talking to you, Meg Ryan).

I'm not either, but I'm not sure I could run a large company.
-
Ignore them (except for Lily), the way they're doing now. Also, I don't buy Claire being the only competent one at that company. Can't stand her. Don't buy her father putting her in charge.

But, what's the bottom line, going forward?
-
Ha, ha - I know my husband's passwords, but he doesn't know mine! To be fair, I don't think he's interested. It's genetic, doncha know? I'm not a big fan of the confrontational, holier-than-thou interview.

That song has been done to death. Hope to not hear it anytime soon again.

Regarding the Frank tribute, above: "I knew somethin' was wrong, he was lyin' on the floor, he was in a better place." OMG - thank you for posting this!!! How on earth could they let her sing this on Today? I wonder how Hoda kept a straight face? An aside: Skinny, old ladies shouldn't wear sleeveless dresses.
-
I think a lot of the problem is the format - so stale. I had not heard that she wrote a song. Hearing that must be an experience.

Why was Big Bird a judge?

Peoples' musical tastes never cease to amaze me. It's a mediocre bunch at best, but Brooke? If you scream loud enough, everyone's impressed.
-
I would go with Addison for best tonight & I'm not usually a fan. I don't think Amazing Grace is appropriate for a singing competition, but that's just me. Overall, not that impressive an evening. I didn't see Davon's performance so maybe I missed the highlight.

Yes! My gosh, haven't thought about Dr Laura in years. I'm surprised that TPTB at Today/NBC don't tell KLG to tone down the religion. She's kind of fun when not preaching. Defending/"forgiving" Matt Lauer is just too out there.

Joy had a talk show on HLN. Isn't that part of CNN? But Joy has always been a Democrat, so where would she work? At Fox? I'm sure that Joy held the same opinions she has now long before CNN even existed. She follows no "party line." See above.

ABC switched back, I believe. I watched on CTV, tho. I thoroughly enjoyed the show today. Even MM didn't annoy the crap out of me. So - the answer is - get rid of Whoopie, and add Ana. Simple!

Is she really writing a book, or is that the story they come up with when they're fired? If she's writing a tell-all, I will certainly read it.

I never cared for her, but her dismissal wasn't handled well. Just reading some FB posts & the ladies of The Today Show are taking a bit of a hit. Posters are calling out their hypocrisy. Basically nobody is buying their weeping & wailing about their mentor, partner, etc., etc. Hard to believe nobody at NBC knew, when rumors have been floating about for years, & one incident they mentioned happened 16 years ago. He could sell that $33 million house in the Hamptons. lol

Sexual assault? He locked the door and had sex with somebody. Also, sexting interns & staff. I guess he didn't learn from Anthony Weiner.
