The Bravo blogger accounts, like Bravo by Betches and thetalkofshame, Bravo Historian, etc. have been reposting Madison’s screenshots that she posted to Instagram. It’s a shitshow.

I’m actually finding the Behind the Scenes reruns with input from production marginally more palatable than the regular episodes. I watch it with the sound off during Kathryn’s scenes - even better.

I just finished watching the scene in Season 4 where Jennifer, Kathryn’s one time friend and supporter, is telling Kathryn about the brain surgery her infant son required immediately after birth in order to live. Kathryn’s lack of empathy, concern or genuine human emotion are disturbing. What’s even more disturbing is that she justifies her coldness because Thomas was kind to Jennifer at the Season 3 reunion and gave her a hanky. A hanky. Because she was crying about her child who was going to be born with a potentially life threatening birth defect. She’s a complete and total asshole and I agree with Leva (but not her delivery) that they need to quit coddling Kathryn. Danni and the Men Children, I’m looking at you.

Exactly. I like Leva, and I really want to root for her, but having Leva be the sole voice of racial justice was too little too late for this show. I agree with what she’s saying but her delivery comes off as strident. I totally get her frustration with Kathryn, a humanoid glob that gives stupid a bad name, but she isn’t teachable.

I don’t like any Bravo show when it devolves into shrieking, yelling and cussing, no matter how well deserved or not. I couldn’t bring myself to watch Night of the Living Beach Party. However, I certainly understand Leva’s frustration with the lumpen wad of self tanner, fake eyelashes and hair extensions that calls itself Kathryn. I want to yell at her and I don’t have to film with her. With Covid having a ruinous effect on her restaurant businesses and the racial unrest in Charleston and the country, Leva’s frustration with that barely sentient piece of shit is justified. I like Leva. I like anyone who calls Kathryn out on her absolute horse shit. Admittedly, I have always found the Kathryn/Thomas storylines tiresome; they’re even more tedious to me now that she’s attempting to be interesting by herself.

The men look better styled overall. I don’t know what it is about Bravo reunions that the women think. an over the top, over styled look is the way to go. Kathryn looks cheap and old. Danni’s dress is easily my favorite. Shep looks the best I’ve ever seen him. Craig’s pants look stupid cuffed like that.

I like him, and not just because he annoys the everlasting shit out of Austen, but because he seems decent from what I can ascertain from his social media. I still continue to believe that his romancing of Madison is mostly producer driven.

I think that Bravo is actually doing a better job of handling the monkey emoji text message debacle and racial unrest in SC than I had anticipated. The lunch conversation was interesting and relevant. It’s didn’t feel forced. I’d really like to see more of Levi’s friends, Venita and Meagan, much more so than of Danni. Her growing discomfort and unease on camera, her “friendship” with Kathryn, and her weakass talking heads, are just uncomfortable to watch.

Leva was a bridesmaid in Cameron’s wedding. They were roommates. I hope Leva hands Kathryn her ass Every. Single. Episode. Kathryn is reprehensible, her clothes are terrible, and her makeup is horrendous. I wish Madison of Gwynn’s had called her out on her stupidity about Covid and New York MORE. Jeebus, if you are supposedly (cough, cough) a fashionista (cough, cough, cough) then you should absolutely know what’s going on in the fashion capital of the world, Kathryn. Ugh. She’s a despicable, uneducated, racist twat. Please get rid of the hillbilly femme fatale.

I believe that Pringle’s wooing of Madison, and Pat’s encouragement of it, are producer driven rather than by any actual stirring of Pringle’s loins. Anything that annoys the shit out of Austin is okay by me. I like Pringle because Austin doesn’t.

Leva has been on just about every season - not as a main cast member. She was also a bridesmaid in Cameran’s wedding. Cameran responded to Kathryn’s claim via Instagram.

The truth hurts. For my part, I don’t see how race can be ignored any longer, especially on show about a city that was literally built by slaves. Whether Southern Charm addresses race issues well or not, or with their usual tone-deaf touch, is yet to be seen. It’s messy and it’s uncomfortable but it needs to be addressed. Even on mindless reality shows. I’ve followed Leva for years. She’s known most of the cast very well since the show’s inception. She’s a hardworking and loyal friend. I don’t find her preachy but maybe that’s because I agree with her.
