After watching that, it's no wonder Ben is on vocal rest. Still not sure I want to see the show.

I understand. I only get to NY twice a year, but fortunately, I can stay for several days and drain my bank account at will :-) I think Lion King is a breathtaking night in the theatre. Even if it is Lion King...

Which is too bad. The number didn't come off well on TV, but the show is quite lovely. Miss Saigon, otoh, is a show I don't need to see again. That was really melodramatic.

Honestly, I listened to the cast album and I won't be buying it. If I'd relied on that to persuade me to see the show, I wouldn't have gone. Not that it's bad, it's just really not my thing. But it works brilliantly in the show. I felt the same way about Natasha, Pierre. Hated the album, but I'd already bought the tickets. Thank goodness! The show is fab.

Went to see Rhiannon Giddens last month. She is amazing! Tonight, we're going to see Paul Simon. And as an added bonus, the weather here is spectacular, so it should be a beautiful evening on all counts!

It seems it's definitely gonna end tonight. Although after the last 2 nights, I guess I should wait until at least the 8th before I throw in the towel.

We stopped in Louisville on our drive to see games in St Louis and Kansas City back in 1998. It's a wonderful place!

I love the movie. I'm not sold on it becoming a musical though. Not everything has to be turned into a musical.

Ann-Margret was in a show at the theatre where I worked (I don't remember which show and I'm not going to look it up now) and Roger Smith was always there with her, carrying her little yappy dog in a basket. He was very nice. And so was she. RIP ETA: I looked it up - it was Best Little Whorehouse in Texas

I hate this guy and the whole concept soooooo much. Seriously, just untuck a regular shirt. I don't even want to know how much these crappy shirts cost. It did make me laugh that in one of those coupon mailers that come to my house monthly there was a coupon for this stupid company. So he already needs to go the junk mail route. Ha!

We'll be up there the last weekend in August. I was thinking of trying to go to a game on Staten Island... if there aren't enough shows for me to see. We'll see how it plays out.
