  1. Honestly, I got the tickets last October after watching the 60 Minutes show that was rerun tonight. Be online at 11:10 tonight! You can also be lucky!!
  2. Loooooooooove Daveed! He's really the one that I most want to still be in the show by the time I get there. (Well, Leslie too)
  3. Then I won't mention that the reason we're going is that we have Hamilton tickets. Oops, I just mentioned that :-)
  4. Planning to see Shuffle Along in August. Even though Audra won't be there, Savion Glover will be in the show. He's genius.
  5. That's a lovely dress. Like it better than the one she wore on the Red Carpet.
  6. Audra!!!! And we always stay around the corner from the Beacon when we're in NY, so I feel like that's my 'hood!
  7. I'm sorry to say I liked this number better on the radio than watching it.
  8. The opening was sweet and funny. And I love Corden performing. Not quite there yet with him as talk show host...
  9. FYI, a new block of tickets to Hamilton will be going on sale tonight at 11:10pm Eastern on Ticketmaster for shows between the end of January and May. And I'm loving this opening!
  10. Red Carpet on Tonyawards.com if anyone is interested. Not much interesting so far.
  11. Posted this in the media thread because I forgot about this one... I've read that Keri Russell will be introducing the Waitress number tonight on the Tonys.

This game is a lot tenser than I thought it would be after the first half inning. And...sigh...
  14. I just saw a commercial for Dateline: On Assignment for this coming Sunday. Dave will be interviewed - beard and all! It's on at 7pm Eastern (the real time zone :) )
  15. On the off-chance that anyone hasn't seen this yet, I give you Carpool Karaoke, Broadway style

Baseball fight...oy Manny has a right to be pissed at Ventura for throwing a 99 mph fastball at him, but he's got to learn to control himself. Without Hardy, we can't afford him being suspended. Bad enough he's ejected for the rest of the game. He almost landed a good punch though ... and got Ventura in a headlock. So that's...something.
  17. Thanks for making me think of Letterman. Still miss him. Also, the song is great.

    The NBA

I don't think either of those choices are necessary. For anyone.
  19. I'll be in town the week beginning August 20th. Lucas Duda bobblehead night on that Tuesday. So Tuesday looks like Coney Island/Cyclones day!! (Which makes up for missing a 'head in Bmore on the 20th and at CitiField on the 27th - travel days...poor planning on my part)
  20. Bringing this over from the MLB Thread (because, sorry, I forgot this thread was here...) Mr ebk has a stagehand's convention next weekend in Bethlehem PA. Unfortunately, the Lehigh Valley Ironpigs are in Charlotte. And I'm even more upset about that because in perusing their website today, I see they have Pork Racers, including Barbie Q and, my fave, Chris P. Bacon. There's a Barbie Q bobblehead. I will be on the lookout for Mr. Bacon's 'head though. That's too fabulous to pass up!

Nice pictures! Two questions - was that Glenn Close singing the anthem? And are those racing taxis??

    The NBA

Ah... I understand what you're saying. I guess my media exposure isn't that deep. The media I listen to/read are mostly saying that the league will be having conniptions if it's OKC and Toronto, not that you're a bad fan if you think that's great. Although they are also saying the league will be sad because there aren't enough basketball "fans" to have impact on the ratings. Which could be cover for the media thinking that, too.

    The NBA

I'm fairly certain that all of the league would be having heart failure if the big-market, big-star teams weren't getting to the finals. As much as baseball fans (well, most of them) loved the Royals getting to the series, you know MLB was relieved that the Mets were there, too. And if the Super Bowl were Jacksonville and Tampa Bay, they'd blow a gasket. At least the NBA is saying it out loud. That's something... I guess.
  24. Mr ebk did some quick research. There seems to have been some technical glitch. The west coast will have the new show. Which does me no good whatsoever... I wish I was from the future. I'd definitely win lotto in that case!!
  25. I'm not sure that I've seen the TV broadcast, but we had the show at our theatre for a while. I love it. And I'd forgotten how much I love it until I heard a number on the XM Broadway channel a couple of months ago, at which time I realized that the only copy of the OBC I had was on vinyl. That has been rectified and I've been listening often. Have I mentioned how much I love the show?
