Isn't that what phones with giant screens are for? Watching baseball?? Or at least listening to baseball on the (phone app) radio (which is how god intended it to be enjoyed)

It's actually Sunday at 1pm Eastern. Don't want anyone to tune in at 4 and be horribly disappointed. Or incredibly relieved...
  3. This is your Ham4Ham show - Pizza for everyone!
  4. Stephen responds to the latest outrage. If that room is in his house, I want to visit. http://deadline.com/2016/10/stephen-colbert-donald-trump-tape-lewd-women-video-1201833181/

Sigh... Ah well, it was a good season. Much better than I had any reason to expect when it started. I'll just frame the tickets for the rest of the post-season that arrived today...

They used to pour the beer into cups and only sell soda in cups. Then, a few years ago, Bud/Miller decided to make cans shaped like bottles and brand them with team names, etc, so now it's beer cans everywhere. And soda and water in plastic bottles. I got a lovely can last season commemorating Cal's 2131 game from a local craft brewer at the ballpark. Good beer and nice souvenir can.

Oh thanks for dredging up that memory... Really - do they think they're in Philly? (sorry to any Philadelphians - I do like visiting there)

Seriously? Throwing shit on the field during a game?? I thought Canadians were supposed to be so nice...

Vin also said that after the game was over. I'm gonna miss him.

I seriously was surfing around the dial to find something acceptable to watch. Luckily, Paul Simon is on Austin City Limits!

Vin Scully - a class act to the end. That was a lovely goodbye.

I totally agree with that sentiment. There are teams I don't hate that aren't mine, but I still don't want my team to ever lose to them. Unfortunately, your team isn't one of those teams :-) (And I apologize for the grammar - or lack thereof - in that sentence, but Adam Jones is dancing on my TV right now...)

I was at the game in Baltimore. If there hadn't been lots of lightning during the rain delay, we would have gone home. But we didn't because we were sure we'd be electrocuted. And it's the most fun I've ever had in a stadium in my life. And I've been to the World Series. And good grief, how can that have been five years ago?? Oh, and how bout dem Os!!!!

I don't know what kind of gifts the teams have been giving Ortiz during his whirlwind farewell tour, but I did like the Os gift last week - the phone that he destroyed in the dugout 3 years ago after some unfortunate incident on the field. He didn't seem really enthused about receiving it... It made me smile though.
  21. The props department. They don't mind. (Mr ebk is in the biz... The Business of Show... )
  22. You're a brave person, to watch this for us so we don't have to. It's enough to make you start drinking...
  23. I hate to quote myself (it can cause blindness), but here's what I said on the bottom of the previous page about Fun Home: "Fun Home: I so wanted to love this show. Honestly. The production is wonderful. The acting is wonderful. I can see that the story is very touching and real. But I just didn't connect with it. And I don't know why. And it upsets me. A friend I talked to afterwards said the same thing. He told me when he saw it a second time, he totally got it. Maybe when it comes to DC, I'll give it another go. " For $15, I'd definitely go. Your West End experience sounds great. And congrats on having parents that have come around to see what's right and good in the world! :-) I'm going to see "Come From Away" at Ford's on Saturday. Looking forward to it. I will report back.
  24. I've already told Mr. ebk that he can watch here on the big TV - I have headphones and XM to listen to baseball... And I have wine. Lots of wine.
