  1. Yes! That's why I thought when it said "originally" it was the other way around that Bridget Loves Bernie might've been the result of the change! It all made sense in my mind - LOL.
  2. There were definitely some easier questions but I think maybe you have a high intellect if you did that well! Categories like the one where you have to give a specific year are always stumpers for me. Me for FJ: “Uhm, was the show Bridget Loves Bernie based on a long running musical?” LOL I liked Ken’s Bane impersonation. And also how he mentioned that the FJ incorrect guesses would have, indeed, had conflict for the situation given!
  3. This episode felt three hours long. And I can’t believe this is only the fourth episode. It feels like I’ve been watching this season for months. I’m gonna stick with it, though.
  4. Based on the season, yes, Syabira. Based on this episode, Abdul.
  5. Can someone please explain Amy’s bet? I don’t understand the thought behind it.
  6. I thought that was a fairly obscure movie and quote. People who love that move really love it and know it, but it wasn't a huge hit or anything and it's not really a classic movie quote. I was surprised to see it as a clue and would've been more surprised if someone had gotten it!
  7. The first two-part episode and My Monkey Grifter were the only two episodes this season that I enjoyed. The Three Hairdressers one was only interesting if you watch the original inspiration to see how meticulously they copied some aspects of it. I was completely bored by the last French one and the one about the rock throwing sport. A so so season for me. As their inspirations become more obscure, the less I seem to be enjoying it.
  8. Hula hoops were not from the 90’s. Try harder, research team - LOL. My favorite chyron tonight:
  9. I don’t like that I have no idea if it will be 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 games long, but I never liked the two game combo final because it messed with FJ betting in the first game.
  10. Great game today. I really think the tournament is going to come down to who can find and successfully answer the DDs. I try to guess what each contestant might bet in FJ and I was correct with Sam and Andrew, but I couldn’t figure out Amy’s reasoning. Did Amy bet correctly and I’m missing the logic? It just seemed like a random number to me.
  11. After seeing this week’s episode, I really wish Tanya and her husband would’ve driven that Vespa right off the cliff last week.
  12. I thought the goodbyes felt a little awkward. Usually the cast members go to the host and hug/shake hands/chat right away and it seemed like they just stayed in the back and left DC up front by himself.
  13. I didn’t realize it last night, but DC had a pretty light load as far as sketches. Other than the prefilmed House of the Dragon thing, he was in PM in the Afternoon (very few lines), and Barber Shop. He announced and also had just a few lines for Black Heaven. Of course he did do a much longer monologue than most hosts.
  14. I agree with most of the above but I still enjoy seeing Noel because he seems such an odd choice to host this show. And he seems to have a genuinely good, sweet rapport with the contestants. Maybe they should replace Matt with Julian Barratt.
  15. Correct, but I just meant that was the excuse they gave for having the exhibition because they couldn’t say “Hey, we know you want to see this match up, but two of them didn’t make the finals, so here you go!” OK, thanks. I hadn’t seen that. It was just a thought.
  16. No matter what reasons they gave for the exhibition game, I wonder if it was filmed after the tournament because they knew people would want to see those three play against each other.
  17. Bold DD betting pays off. Nice to see some big risk taking. Definitely not the final three I would’ve predicted!
  18. Right? Thank you! They were all “OMG…peanut butter and fruit? How unique!” And I was like “So none of you have had a PB&J?!”
  19. My dream final group would have Matt, Amy, and probably Sam (though with the game match-ups, that obviously can't happen). I find Mattea impressive and finals worthy, but she's not someone I enjoy watching play.
  20. Did they have a little happy hour backstage before the exhibition game?
  21. I feel like Ray and Melissa just were slower on the signaling device. I'm sure they knew at least some of those answers that Joel just got to first. Ray outright admitted that he has to pause questions at home to give himself time to think. I like that even after the game he seemed like he was just happy to have had the chance to play. That only bugged me because of all the grief Seth Meyers got about Lego/Legos. Otherwise, I would've had no idea LegoS was incorrect!
  22. In the end it didn’t matter, but I’m calling BS on them accepting “Dr. Ken” for Ken Jeong. I enjoyed all the contestants tonight. I wish the game hadn’t been so unevenly matched. It was kind of funny that Joel guessed “Gotham” twice incorrectly.
  23. That was my take on it, since at the end they were mentioning long term effects, displaying memory issues, etc. I felt like the point was that people may be dismissing it now because it just feels like a cold, but don’t take it lightly.
  24. Cecily’s trucker thing on WU was basically an attempt to repeat her clown abortion bit, but way less effective and poorly written. I get it’s an important issue they want to address but maybe another cast member could’ve been given a chance to do a different take on it.
