Because she knows that they know that she didn't do it, unless they know that she knows that they know that she didn't do it, but then...yeah, I got nothing either. Mr. Mossad lets himself be taken into a private corner of the bar, first off, then blows his guesses right at her (Only I know that you are not telling the truth!), and then lets himself be held hostage in the parking lot when a simple twist & block (for a trained agent) would have knocked her arm away from his head. Too bad they didn't have Mossad Agent Beard sign off with "You leave the Pennsylvania Station at a quarter to four..." She was a competent agent who followed policies and procedures. She had to die.

That implies that Fitz would notice anything unless Cyrus brought it to his attention.

Poor Carla, stuck in a jail cell in a $5000 evening dress. Somewhere along the line there is going to be one big ass knife fight between all the characters, with so much betrayal going on. This whole plot with the "confidential" USGS report reminds me so much of Trading Places. Just release the information, for cryin' out loud. So Billy's girlfriend apparently pulled a few strings of her own. She's becoming one of the boys now. Of course, I don't really see how a guy even survives a 3" stick through his chest, much less is out of the ICU and talking to anyone who walks in the door. Isn't there software out there that allows one to hack into a smartphone and remotely activate the microphone (so I've heard)? But then, Jules would have had no reason to do Hap dirty. Adjusted for inflation, even Judas got a better deal than she did.

I guess one of the qualifications for working in Angels ER is the ability to harmonize. Cute scene, but why would any MD allow his patient with a still unresolved abscess in the throat (along with a recently torn carotid artery) out of ICU and singing? The medical staff is required by law in California to report cases of suspected rape, so I think the poor wife's husband and son are going to learn about it the hard way. Hopefully they will have some counseling available to them to deal with the effects. I like the backstory with Leanne. Well, not the story itself, but the way the show is bringing out her grief, and, yet, her professionalism at the same time. Take note, Mario.

That's probably why Eli is so nervous. He's worried about the political implications of accepting support from a donor with an economic philosophy that, as Cyrus said on a key moment in Scandal a few episodes back, "It's not going to play well with your base". He can't see the forest for the trees, as pointed out upthread. This will be a minor bump compared to the shitstorm that the other candidates throw and Peter for his actual behavior.

Oh my God, they performed a successful, lifesaving, technical rescue without Gabby! This show is going off the rails. Look for another crossover with the maybe-reformed gang member. Maybe even both PD and Med. There has to be some backstory with the assault case. If she's willing to take a beating from someone in order to frame Boden, it's not just one person with a grudge.

The Bastard Executioner - General Discussion

Maiden, indeed! -
That one line: "unless it's...Justified" made the whole scene.

It wouldn't have made any difference given the direction of the plotline, but, c'mon writers... Doesn't everyone in DC have a crosscut shredder after the embassy fiasco in Iran 1979? Just something I noticed. Those tail agents are either CIA or woefully inexperienced. First he hands a folded bill to the bakery kiosk guy, then drops a paper in the wastebasket, and nothing is done with either? And you're tailing him like, 20' away the entire time? I liked the encounter with the Russian Ambassador too. First you sit down, then I stand up. Definite intimidation. "Lights Out" may actually reference a new book by Ted Koppel, who was on The Daily Show talking about it. The story is that the cyber war is not about "if", but "when". He maintains that both the Russians and the Chinese already have the ability to hack into the major power grids of the US, and disable them for weeks at a time. Stock up on popcorn, kids, and make sure you have enough battery power for the DVR. So, Lt. Col. (ret) Dr. MI-6 now has the ability to direct the NSA on its operations? I have this visual of all these spies and high level government functionaries all gathered up in that same park, sitting together on various benches, and conducting the world's business during lunch hour. Lower the Cone of Silence!

This plotline is drawn from a real-life situation, where the employer, an IT business, did just that. Some people were referring to it as a sort of "corporate socialism" where everyone makes the same regardless of effort or seniority. The CEO, who was making $1 million plus, decided that his salary was way out of line and reduced it to add on to the salaries of the lowest tier of employees. Wouldn't Grace get her salary/commission after the billable hours had been totaled for the year? Oh, and, Gracie, don't forget those taxes at the end of the year. Or maybe the quarter, considering the estimated tax withholdings. And the bookkeeper's fee.

I have to take issue with Boden's actions, no matter that they are in the service of the plot. By procedure, he should have called the incident into his command center, with an address so that it would be documented. And maybe get the PD involved, as he is actually breaking into someone's house on the tenant's word. I can speak from experience on this. Early in my career a caretaker for the house trailer next to the station came over and said she was worried that the elderly owner had fallen or something, as she was responding and the doors were locked. So I cut a window screen and entered, thinking I was doing a good service. The owner, who was out shopping, cam home later and accused me of theft of some items. She yelled at me, my boss yelled at me, the command center yelled at me...fortunately the caretaker backed up my story, even though she got fired. Experience gained cheaply. And Mr. Patterson. Under no circumstances do you go confronting your employees after hours. Severide could easily drop the hammer on him for harassment for that little stunt. And I don't think you can suspend someone for off duty actions while your off duty.

Besides which, what would the FBI do without their resident athlete/sharpshooter/martial artist?

Unless, of course, we can squeeze another season out of it.

I was curious about the VP's sudden appearance in the Senate, and, while conceding the plot requirements, I offer this quote from the Wiki article on the duties of the Vice President: Except for this tie-breaking role, the Standing Rules of the Senate vest no significant responsibilities in the vice president. Rule XIX, which governs debate, does not authorize the vice president to participate in debate, and grants only to members of the Senate (and, upon appropriate notice, former presidents of the United States) the privilege of addressing the Senate, without granting a similar privilege to the sitting vice president. Of course, if I had to piss like a racehorse, it wouldn't bother me one whit who spoke in my favor or in my place.

S02.E09: What Did We Do?
Dowel Jones replied to Tara Ariano's topic in How To Get Away With Murder [V]
Whatever their plan for the pistol, it's a house of cards that should collapse with the slightest breath from the police. In real life, firing a gun leaves a bit of residue on the holder's arm, which can be measured. If the detectives suspect something is amiss with their stories (I'm shocked! Shocked!), they might move to test for residue on the suspect. Finding none on the accused party, they might move over to the others in the house. No bueno, folks. Everything else turning out in their favor in the long run, what's next semester going to be like at school? -

On the lighter side: There's a scene early on, just after Asher's dad's body has been found, where Keating is in her office, staring at her phone, and the voiceover for the next scene is played out. "Get me every bit of dirt you can on the Judge..." The first thing that went through my mind was, damn, Suri has really branched out.... -
However, in my EMT study, I did see a device used that simulates CPR compressions, adjustable for rate and depth. It frees up people in the ER setting to go on and treat living patients.

I'll go one better, perhaps. Since Liz dyed her hair, does anyone think she bears more than a passing resemblance to Patty Hearst? I have to admit, I like a scene where the bad guy says "You don't have the balls to pull that trig.." Wrong.

I'm waiting for the episode where a thorough examination of one of Jane Doe's tattoos reveals a razor. I often wonder at the hiring practices of criminal top dogs such that their bodyguards/henchmen/assassins are willing to die in an unfair fight. All that money last week doesn't mean squat now; why are you still there in the middle of a gunfight? Oh well. Order up some more redshirts.

*Cough* Quantico *cough*, *cough, cough* Blood and Oil *cough cough*, Hold on, while I get some Robitussin. -
What I want to know is the name of the auto shop that fixed Allison's car in one or two days. Even Raymond Reddington doesn't get that kind of service.
-
There were probably one way streets in the area which means that they would have to go all the way back to the beginning after each block.

I don't pretend to understand all the complexities of international trade, but it sure seemed out of place that Wyoming would be so interested in trade with Cuba that they would campaign for a study to look at the feasibility. It's not like there aren't any other markets out there. So they got the Wind River National Park, instead. No doubt adjacent to large, multi-million dollar trophy ranches. I too got SO tired of Crankypants Allstate riding his daughter about the fender bender. Presumably for the plot she explained herself and her mission to him off camera. It would have been more believable to see her hand some sort of authorization from higher up, rather than go the "poor me" tears route. Failing either of those first two situations, I agree with the clerk, but I wouldn't have mentioned the time involved. Follow the process, because they aren't going to hand over the information (non-public) to anyone who asks for it. The FOIA forms provide a record of who asked for it.

S02.E08: Hi, I'm Philip

I would have loved to see the expressions on Annalise's and the Scooby Doofuses' faces if the DA's squad had inadvertently discovered the pistol during their search. Yeah, it would mean an entirely different plotline, but... -
I think the doctor said (rather quickly) that her amnesia could be the result of a seizure, but she died before they could confirm anything.
