  1. Well, she compared Jasmine to TK by saying they were both "clunky," so I'm not sure I'd call that singing her praises!
  2. I think if Kat had had another solo like the one she did last year, she would have gotten cut at finals.
  3. I have no idea what their situation was, I can only speak anecdotally. But I know several people who are military or who married someone in the military and it's very common to get married quickly so that they can live together and/or the spouse can get military benefits. Like a lot of quickie marriages, a lot of those end in divorce. Again, I have no idea if that was Paige and her first husband's situation at all. I'd actually bet that it had more to do with them not living together for their first year or so of marriage (I can't remember where she said he was stationed, but not Texas.) Long distance relationships are hard!
  4. I saw that on Insta last night! I had no idea she'd had COVID. Interestingly, someone else I know posted something similar yesterday. Six weeks post-COVID and they had no sense of taste/smell. Also the first I'd heard of them having COVID and based on the amount of traveling/socializing they were doing in the previous six weeks, I never would have guessed it. People, this is why our positivity rates are still so high!!!!
  5. I hope it's ok to post the link? I just googled Paige Jeff Dallas wedding and it was the first link that came up. https://www.zola.com/wedding/jeffrey-paige I always like to peep at which DCC were in the wedding party. Danielle B. was a maid of honor and Jessica Kalil was a bridesmaid (I think she was in Paige's rookie class? She was really good, didn't get much attention from CMT.) It also lists Shelby Lawrence, I wonder if that was TCC Shelby, the one who was cut who had a competitive cheer background.
  6. Oh wow, he is a doll! And I am exhausted reading about her day!
  7. I'm pretty sure that they just interview everyone or most of them. Though if there's an obvious reason to make sure to get a veteran interview, I'm sure a producer makes sure to talk to them. (Ex: Alyssa Torres flubbing her interview or Cassie being at risk due to her knee surgery.) Haha, go back and read the list again, Amanda is on there several times!
  8. She was from a teeny tiny town, I've known dumber people who were valedictorian of a small class. She came across as relatively intelligent when she spoke on camera. I can't find a website, but a lot of "influencers" outsource stuff like that so it's possible that she wasn't the one writing for it.
  9. Jennifer from Halcyon kind of rubbed me the wrong way sometimes. I think that was the same episode where she made a comment about veteran Veronica's weight... just stick to giving hair advice, Jennifer! I also liked Loren's hair better once she went brunette, before her makeover she was a blender. Maybe there were a bunch of blondes on the team that year, but she definitely popped once she went darker. I also have Pluto on in the background, I'm watching S11 auditions and spotted future DCC's Miranda and Hannah at semi-finals! Edit: Hannah was in the "bad kicks" montage at finals, I'd never noticed that before.
  10. I've only seen up to S12 on Pluto.
  11. I was a certified fit consultant at one of those stores, I can guarantee you that's how they start out, by measuring you to get a size to have as a baseline. After that, yes, they may make some adjustments based on how you personally are shaped and what type of bra you need (A-frame, demi, etc).
  12. Haha, your cup size is just the difference between the measurement around your ribcage and the measurement around the fullest part of your breasts. (1 inch difference = A cup, 2 inches = B cup, etc). So I think Kelli's surprise was more at the fact that Jinelle measures a DD, probably because she's so petite. Kelli said she is a DD herself, but her DD's look very different than Jinelle's!
  13. I noticed that, too, but I think it was a mike pack. They probably tape them to keep them in place when they dance and use pink tape so it's (usually) not as obvious.
  14. It's not a true bubble, it's really irritating that they kept calling it that. A true bubble would have had everyone quarantine from each other (and anyone else) for two weeks before they came together to rehearse. In that case, they wouldn't have to wear masks or social distance from each other. But their hotel wing would also be sealed off (nobody outside of the bubble entering, including hotel staff). Instead, they're doing all of these weird half-measures like wearing masks unless they're dancing (even though when they're dancing they're breathing harder, sending particles into the air...). It makes no sense.
  15. The older sister was super fake. I think Kenley (Kinley?) genuinely thought she could make it work with her pageant duties (like others said, she was used to being told yes). She seemed genuinely surprised to learn she had burned that bridge the next year!
  16. I'm pretty sure that was her at the Star!
  17. Wow, I am so impressed with someone who can hold down a demanding degree program and do something like DCC, which is basically a full-time job. I was so lazy in college compared to some of these girls!
  18. No, Kelsey corrected herself but she honestly did it in kind of an airhead way. After the judges questioned her, "50 yards on a football field?" She did something like, "Yeah... oh, wait, no! Whoa, just kidding." I don't think I'm explaining it well, but basically she didn't correct herself until they made it obvious she'd made a blunder and she didn't do it in a very graceful way. I liked Kelsey a lot, I think she was a good cheerleader even if she wasn't the strongest dancer. I think they were hard on her, but she seemed to respond to that coaching style and not take it personally.
  19. Oh, yeah, that was such a weird answer from Dayton! And yes, I've certainly been in job interviews where that is actually the best answer (and you follow up in your thank-you email with the answer), but that's for like technical questions. I could just imagine her leaving the interview, googling "who is the Dallas Cowboys starting quarterback" (or whatever the question was) and then sticking her head back into the interview room to tell Kelli. LOL!
  20. Kalyssa also immediately answered the next question correctly, which was about the director of the FBI, so I definitely think it was a brain fart more than anything else! I was glad that they gave her some grace on that one, anyone can have a moment of panic and just blurt out "I don't know!" rather than actually take a moment and think about it. Kelsey was such a funny mix of what would have made a great ambassador (warm, friendly, pretty) and what would have made a terrible ambassador (lack of knowledge about football and the Cowboys, blurting out a dumb answer instead of pausing to think), I don't blame them for eventually erring on the side of "good ambassador" with her. I remember seeing her as a veteran when they went to the VA hospital and she seemed totally comfortable talking to everyone. And yes, much like a dance mistake it's all about the recovery when you flub an answer! We've seen plenty of girls charm their way out of not knowing an answer.
  21. I actually liked the Jay segments! I used to do Jay's bootcamp workouts (I'm in Dallas), he is a great trainer and super nice. And his wife Lynn (I think that's her name?) is, too! I think he kind of plays up the "drill sergeant" thing for the show, but he has high expectations for them as athletes, which he should. I feel like we've heard from multiple TCC's and DCC's how he would go out of his way to help them if they were on weight warning. Hahaha, I was shocked at some of the things she didn't like! No pasta? No cheese? No chocolate with peanut butter?! Girl, that's like my whole diet!
  22. We can move this to the Past Seasons thread, but that girl was a veteran and she got cut! I think that was such an unfair question. The way Judy acted, you would have thought the girl had said she'd set the uniform on fire or something. Her answer was perfectly fine!
  23. Yes, I always like seeing the interviews during finals! It's always interesting to see who bombs what should be easy questions (like the girl who didn't know what a political party was... oof) and who really shines. I wish we knew more about how everyone scored on their tests! Edit: I just remembered that in addition to the test, we also saw the girls being quizzed about football/Cowboys in the early seasons. I remember one girl being asked who the current head coach was and (confidently!) answering that it was Tom Landry...to which, Judy and Kelli were so outraged that I'm surprised they didn't cut her on the spot. They did at least call her into the office to do so.
  24. Ashley was in Lexie's wedding just a couple of weeks before auditions, they were really close (maybe not anymore, but at least at the time of training camp). She and Julia seemed close as well, I followed them on Insta and they were together a lot both before and after training camp. Edited to add: I believe that was also the year that Lexie moved up a lot in the triangle and was a 2GL, so I'm not sure why Judy and Kelli would side with Lisa (a rookie candidate) over Lexie.
