  1. I don't know what Alan sees in Celia, I really don't. As for Gary, I don't foresee anything sinister. I think he's being brought in as a contrast to Gillian. Alan's son is a successful go-getter, and his daughter is a hapless screw-up. I can see Alan spending increasing time with Gary, just to get to know him, but getting grief from Gillian who thinks he is starting to love Gary more. She may even accuse him of being swayed by the money, since they made such a big deal in this episode of showing how impressed he was by that. This family just can't have nice things. But seriously, Alan, dump this cow.
  2. Well, just look at the fact that he has his own picture on all his products, thinking he looks cool when all he really looks like is an egomaniacal doofus.
  3. I hope after this Fusco learns about the machine. I would love to hear his ongoing technology snark.
  4. By the way, is it just me, or is Finch really bad at ducking. Even the Machine thinks so!
  5. That may just have been the best episode of this show ever. You just know that among those hundreds of thousands of simulations are some Finch/Reese kisses too.
  6. Ironic, that.
  7. As a Canadian who has just binge-watched this show to catch up, I have to disagree. US history is pretty sparse compared to the UK (and Canada? fuhgeddaboudit!) The vast history that the UK version has to draw on, including early Roman times, gives an original UK version of the show so much more source material than would be available just re-running the US series. And the talent pool available. Wow. I hope to see it broadcast on Canadian TV someday too.
  8. Or a Thomas romance. It's about time, after all.
  9. The actress who plays Celia is so good. I hate that character so much when she's snotty to her daughter. Thanks Alan for rolling the eyes that I could not.
  10. Do you think so? I got the impression that as he jumped in the car and drove off, she was staring after him with her tongue practically hanging out. To me, she looked fascinated, intrigued and very interested BECAUSE of the car.
  11. No I don't think so. When she appeared he had a look of horror on his face. I think he very quickly realized that Thomas used the info he spilled and used it to embarrass his master, who would know that Stowell is one of the few who knows she exists. Rose's blackmail was based on not telling Sinderby that she was summoned by a mysterious note, making it obvious that Stowell had spilled the beans to someone.
  12. I loved the Doctor referring to the older lady as "sexy one". Disappointed not to get a new companion; Shona would have been good.
  13. I presume that, unlike Coke for example, it had to be a unique, low profile brand that was probably not readily available in India in the 1950s, even to the very rich.
  14. I'm getting a little tired of the dentists telling all these folks ekeing out a subsistence living to HURRY because they're in a RACE FOR A MILLION DOLLARS!
  15. I wouldn't be shocked. Confused, maybe.
  16. Apparently it's this guy. http://www.agencesartistiques.com/Fiche-Artiste/275751-benjamin-garnier.html
  17. Whack-a-walker!
  18. We know that Gabriel left an opening back at the church. And the sneak peak of tonight's episode showed the glass at the school finally cracking under pressure from all those walkers trying to get to him. I think it's reasonable to speculate that they break out, chase him back to the church, follow him through the crawlspace and up inside, and get Judith. Imagine the conflict that would cause between Rick and Michonne. Good stories can come out of that. It's tougher to predict how that might significantly alter Daryl's journey, though. That's why I'm not sure it won't be Carol anyway.
  19. That story is what makes me so worried about Carol. The only death that would be worse than Carol, that could be described as "devastating" to Daryl and difficult to film for Norman, is Judith. And I feel a little wrong about hoping that Judith dies instead of Carol.
  20. Especially if it's Carol.
  21. Shaw and Fusco have the (second) best relationship on this show.
  22. I guess we'll start seeing more male companions when the Doctor regenerates as female. Or maybe they'll stick with female companions to up the fantasy factor.
  23. Yes that was them. He definitely did not say it would kill one or both of them, just commented on how the disability they'd be dealing with after the surgery would be worse than not having it. These twins have separate hearts and mostly separate lungs, a large liver that could probably be divided between them, given its regenerative properties. They even have completely separate spinal cords. I got the impression that most of the significant fusion is at and below the pelvis.
  24. That's what I thought, too, but I recently watched a special on American twins that have one body and two heads. There was a doctor who talked about separation. He didn't say it was impossible, only that it would result in a level of disability (losing one arm and one leg) and loss of opportunities that would probably be worse than living the way they had been living all their life. Of course, in the early 50s, it probably would be much more likely to result in death.
  25. Andrew isn't helping by playing into the whole frat boy thing. George wears the punches as badges of honour.
