  1. Exactly right. Attacking your "right to free speech on Twitter" would happen if the government made a law that you are not allowed to say certain things on Twitter. And that hasn't happened. Amazing how few "intelligent" people don't get the distinction. On a slight tangent, has anyone seen the Bill's Club Random show? I've only seen a couple of clips for it to be clear to me that watching two people who are high try to talk to each other is not very entertaining if you are not also high lol.
  2. Every show needs a 'shrooms episode. And on a shallow note: Park, woof
  3. Red, black and white banners are cultural shorthand for evil governments. If we'd seen that flag at the beginning of all this, we'd have known all we needed to.
  4. As a disappointed completist, I was really hoping this would be the last season.
  5. That just read more like nervous pillow talk to me.
  6. Maybe I've been paying less attention than I used to but I can't remember how Tomi went from hiding the fact he was a doctor to working in the hospital as a surgeon.
  7. A couple of meta observations: Wendy's storyline had her acting significantly out of character. Since when is she so unsure of herself? That came out of nowhere. And burning the book had to be symbolic. It's not like she doesn't have digital copies with cloud backups FFS. It was kind of pathetic to watch that last scene where everyone slowly comes to a conclusion that the audience had already come to weeks ago. What a waste of an opportunity for a twist.
  8. He was dead though. His ghost appeared while he was on the floor, so he was dead while still on the floor, and would have been dead when his body was thrown in the lake. It's interesting that we're more forgiving of inconsistencies in a show where we like most of the characters. Compared to a show like "The Conners" where inconsistencies are criticized in minute detail, where it seems like most characters are unlikeable. I'm guessing that says something about us. :) The ghosts must have kept him away from what was happening with his body. Perhaps to ease his passage. Must have kept him isolated until the living activity in the house related to his death was finished. Sass kept his eye on things though.
  9. 'Cause he's secretly a good guy, not a d-bag. ;)
  10. Maybe this is close? Thorfinn - 11th century Sassapis - 17th century Isaac & Nigel - Revolutionary war Nancy & cholera victims - early 19th century cholera epidemic Hetty - Victorian Alberta - 1920s Headless guy - 1950s Flower - 1970s Pete - 1980s Trevor - 2000
  11. Yeah that was only 20 years ago, David seemed too young to be a son.
  12. At least throwing away the underwear doesn't cost you much. I'm a little confused now about ownership of the estate. Sam inherited it from her great-aunt, who died there. The aunt was a descendant of Hetty, who used to own the house, so it's been in the family a long time. But David (Sam's uncle?) seemed to indicate that his parents owned it. Or maybe not. Maybe it was still owned by the great-aunt, but she went with his parents on the trip to Europe, despite her advanced age. I guess that must be it.
  13. Regardless of his personality, he does seem to really love her.
  14. That implies intentionality, but she didn't seem to know who Laris was supposed to be. So I have no idea how/why this human drafted by aliens to protect the "tapestry" of the universe should coincidentally look identical to someone who has just so happened to hop over from another timeline and landed smack dab in the middle of their scope of influence. Eddies of time, indeed. Plan? She just willingly walked into the Borg Queen. What could possible possess an intelligent human being to stand so close to an entity that regularly shoots out appendages?
  15. Yeah to me it read like his version of justice in the moment.
  16. Or strap her to her back, wookie-style. Oh yeah that was the other thing that made me roll my eyes. Agnes: I keep getting the number "15" Picard: Oh that must mean the inflection point is the 15th. Um..that's kind of a leap
  17. That just might be the most pretentious script I've ever heard. They were practically speaking Tamarian. And we went through all that for no plot?
  18. That final New Rule made me very uncomfortable. There is a whole sea of options between toxic and wimp. I'm sure Zelensky actually swims somewhere in that sea. Strong men are fine, as long as they respect others. When strong turns into dominating, well...
  19. On the topic of de-aging tech, everything I've seen, I've been able to see the wires, until recently. The ad with LeBron James talking to his younger self? That fooled me.
  20. Minor point: those Confederation communicator badges are freakin' HUGE! Major point: Seven and Raffi are the buddy cop movie I never knew I always needed.
  21. They'd been alluding to it for a few episodes, but I was still caught off guard at the kiss. I'm rooting for those two crazy kids. Gosh, I sure hope someone somewhere somehow rescued poor Lucius, he's one of my favourites.
  22. Dan is not a healthy man. And if he's the same age as the actor playing him, he's 69 years old. This is not a good plan.
