  1. Loved this episode! Luna, FTW! I've really enjoyed seeing the friendship and partnership grow between the three women. The resolution of the mystery was clever, if a bit convoluted. I hope this gets a second season. It ticks all my cozy mystery boxes.
  2. Bummed they went this boring route. My heart sank a little bit when I realized we're going back to the trite love triangle. Sweet potato rash? Auto brewery syndrome? Between this show and Brilliant Minds, I'm getting quite the education in strange ailments.
  3. I'm LOVING this show. The first episode was fantastic. As Ellis, Sharon D. Clarke has so much talent and charisma, she just draws me in. And she and Andrew Gower's Harper play nicely off one another. I also love the filmmaking - the sweeping shots of the countryside, the closeups (so many closeups-LOL). The show is a slow burn, but I like that.
  4. Fun to see Ruth again. I'd missed her the past few seasons. She and Henry are sweet together. Murdoch referring to Ruth is "an onerous charge" was hilarious. Missed Watts and Effie in this one.
  5. This show is fun. I love the partnership and friendship between the three women. He's so annoying, and his attitude is counterproductive to the investigation.
  6. There's the Ryan Murphy I know and love/loathe. Over the top, zooming from one mood to the complete opposite in the same episode, throwing in shocking events for their own sake. I like it right up until I don't. Sean Teale had responded to a question about whether the 3 main characters would ever be in a throuple by saying, "Well, it IS a Ryan Murphy show." That tickled me, but also, he obviously knew this episode was coming. I've been thinking this is the route they should go with these 3, so I'm glad they did. The threesome was steamy - at least for network TV. Curious to see where it goes from here. Margo Martindale almost had me tearing up. She's so good. Felt so bad for Eric. This episode was tonally all over the place, but that's kind of the vibe of the show, and I'm still enjoying it.
  7. I was delighted to see him in Marlow Murder Club (which I loved). It's a small role, but I'll never complain about seeing him on my screen. 😆
  8. 18x04 Gimmie Shelter Interesting that Brackenreid's NIMBYism almost ended up with him getting swindled. It was nice that Margaret ended up having a change of heart about having the apartment building in their neighborhood. Mrs. Robinson is the worst kind of zealot: self-righteous and thinks she knows what's best for everyone. Claiming she has God's touch because she committed MURDER is wild. Continuing to love Inspector Choi and how he works with Murdoch and Watts (more Watts, please!) While I miss George, I do like seeing Effie involved more in cases, and I continue to enjoy her team-ups with Brackenreid.
  9. I liked it! Enjoy all 3 leads as individual characters. Looking forward to seeing them team up. Judith's character reminds me a bit of Jane Seymour's Harry Wild, though perhaps a bit less...er, Wild. 😅 Only one episode in and I'm already wishing for Becks to be free of her husband. I thought Suzie's client, Iqbal had an odd look on his face, but did not expect him to be the second victim (assuming they're related)
  10. I am crying from laughing 😅 I was totally onboard with the captain's anti-Halloween stance. I've disliked it since I was a kid. It was always such an underwhelming holiday to me. This show is silly, but I enjoy it.
  11. I started getting into this show over the summer while I was on medical leave. One of the things I delight in on this show is trying to figure out what inventive way the writers are going to integrate Frodo and Mrs. Marlowe into the mystery of each episode. Mrs. Marlowe in particular seems to have a finger in every pie! 😆
  12. 18x02 - What the Dickens?! I LOVE to see George and Effie solving a mystery together ("Honeymoon in Hampshire" is still one of my favorite episodes) The characters at the Bleak House danced on the line between endearingly eccentric and grating. I did enjoy the incorporation of Dickens into the solving of the mystery. We got Watts, though not nearly enough. I hope we get to see him leading a case soon. Odd that Thomas Craig was listed in the credits but didn't appear in this episode.
  13. Loved seeing Rebecca Liddiard! Her character's fangirling over getting to be involved in a real murder mystery made me chuckle. Enjoyed seeing Choi directly involved in the case. Looks like he and Murdoch will make a good team. Felt bad for Effie, but I did like her team-up with Brackenreid. I'm curious to see how they involve him in cases now that he's chief constable. Are we getting Julia and Sussanah back for any episodes this season?
  14. I haven't watched GA in literal decades, but I find myself fascinated by the Finch story. I want to call what she did industrial-scale lying, but I'm not sure if that's the right word for it.
