  1. And also Faber and Meg Wellman aren't even close to being old enough to be James Brolin's parents lol.
  2. This can also be correct continuity things as well... In season 2 "Braindead Poets Society" Darlene tells Dan he should install a light outside so they can play basketball at night. Later in the season she says "Let's go play some b ball under the lights" in the Fathers and Daughters episode. I guess Dan must have done it!
  3. I know what you mean about claustrophobic. In seasons 1-5 it seemed like almost every episode there was a new set built just for that episode. They were always going to new locations. Seasons 5.5 - 8 they really got stuck in never leaving either Roseanne's house/Jackie's House/Landford City Garage/Lunchbox. That was it. There were still the occasional episodes where they "went somewhere" new but not as many. Then season 9 was substituting new locations and lazy writing for engaging storylines that were faithful to the rest of the series. But what about the episode when they drive to LA and she can't stand him? Lol
  4. Can't believe I didn't think about this one earlier. Season 4 when they get the tattoo artist, Dan has the Rose tattoo. Roseanne says he never calls her Rose. In multiple preceeding episodes Dan DOES call her Rose. I'm watching the second season Thanksgiving ep and everyone calls her Rose practically. Bev and Audrey do. Ed does in other eps too.
  5. Yet another. In season 3's "Valentine's Day", Barry calls Darlene and says "Hi, this is Barry Parker calling..." In the Season 8 episode Heart and Soul where Dan is recovering from his heart attack, when he and Darlene dance she says "Barry what's his name" and Dan replies" Barry Evans. His name was Barry Evans". No. No it wasn't. Lol. It was all a figment of Roseanne's imagination so I guess it doesn't matter.
  6. That's a good one. I watched Crystal and Ed's wedding. Anne Marie is visible in a pew as Crystal walks down the aisle. Next to her is a black man who is not Chuckie lol. You can also see him in the end credits when they sing the hanky panky song. This was quite a few episodes before the real Chuckie showed up in the bbq episode.
  7. Gotta write this down before I forget it again. In one of the last episodes of season 4, Roseanne and her friends gather at the Lobo. Anne Marie comes late and mentions Chuck lost his job at Wellman. When Anne Marie and Roseanne are reunited in season 3, they hadn't seen each other since high school and Roseanne doesn't even recognize her. You'd think they would have run into each other at a company picnic or something. Or that Chuck and Roseanne would have talked about her at some point.
  8. Just realized that Todd Bowman in season 3 was a different actor in season 4 lol. Wow.
  9. Having a bit of a brain fart and hoping you all can help me out. I'm pretty sure throughout the show they would say "the Diner" in reference to the Lunchbox right? Did they refer to Rodbell's as "the Diner" too? I think I remember them calling it a luncheonette once?
  10. In the season 4 episode about Roseanne's boob job, at they very opening there are two female customers at Rodbell's Diner wearing the Chicken Divine uniforms.
  11. I like the episode where she just takes like 3 or 4 fully boxed tv dinners and just throws them in the microwave. I think it was one of the first episodes with the Lunchbox because she had an hour lunch to go home and make dinner.
  12. Lol it is fun to try to justify the errors. My problem with your explanation is Bev specifically says "brand new car". Not "new car". I noticed that too. In the episode they finally tell Dan he acts as if he had no clue what was going on. In the season 2 Thanksgiving episode, Dan confronts Ed about it and it's not like Ed says "ok I'll stop". He says "you don't know what it's like to be lonely" then leaves for Crystal's. Ok I found another error and I thought of a justification lol. When Jackie comes to tell Roseanne she is going to Kansas City she says "I have a load to take to Topeka and then ON THE WAY BACK I was going to stop in Kansas City to check out Dad's mistress." When they go to her apartment and Roseanne does the Felgred thing, Jackie explains that they can't go in because they have a load of stuff to get somewhere. If they followed Jackie's plan, they would have already dropped off the load. My explanation is pretty easy. Jackie just lied to Joan to get out of going inside to meet with her. Still fun to point out though.
  13. I am rewatching the series and am noticing several continuity issues. Creating this thread just to keep track of them. Currently I am watching the Season 4 Thanksgiving episode. Bev tells Nana Mary "That is a brand new car!" Later in the season she offers Becky her "old car" because she will be buying a new car. Feel free to contribute other instances you've noticed.
  14. Oh ya. The squirrel population doubled when the Bowman's lived next door.
  15. Keep forgetting to post about this! The season 3 finale, Ziggy comes to town and they get the idea to open the bike shop. What I never understood was the end credits scene where Darlene finds the envelop. Dan and Roseanne leave to go try to get a bigger loan. Darlene comes in and finds a manilla, legal size envelop on the fridge with a note from Ziggy. She reads the note and pulls out 7 or 8 bills and runs out the door saying "Mom, Dad, wait!" I never understood why she does this. We see the giant stack of 20gs at the beginning and its pretty hefty. Way too big to fit in that one envelop. So did he just give them part of the money or all of it? She only pulls out maybe 6 or $700 at the most assuming they were all $100 bills. Then she runs out after them... Why? She wasn't in the scene so she doesn't know they are going to the bank lol. Also it's like it's urgent she stops them. The bank had to do a second mortgage to get $30000. Really doubtful they'd raise it another $20000. Finally, it's not even mentioned in the season 4 opener. Dan just has his bike shop and Mark works there against Roseanne's protests. In the season 3 finale it was her idea to hire him. I guess we have to believe the entire amount was in the envelop and there was no obligation to repay any of it back. I am probably nit picking but it's like they used that scene with Darlene to create a cliffhanger inbetween seasons and then there's no mention of it in the next episode.
  16. Why all the DJ hate? I thought he was pretty good the first 5 seasons or so and then he had the awkward teen phase.
  17. Saying it would be season 9 pt 2 was more a comment that it would really suck lol. Not that it would continue the lottery story or some other kooky plot. I also think that like season 9, it will be completely divorced from the original series. Part of me thinks Roseanne is bat shit crazy now and I'm hoping for a Roseanne reminiscent of seasons 1-4. If it is only 8 episodes, I hope there is an arc and they aren't just "bottle" episodes. It should be as if the Conners have been living their lives the past 20 years and we just drop in on them to see the latest crisis they have to live through. It shouldn't be just cute little episodes about the trials and tribulations of Darlene's kids.
  18. Martin Mull wasn't just Leon. He was also a writer or producer or something like that. He was still associated with the show after Rodbell's closed.
  19. I really liked those characters too but it's hard to see many storylines involving them. Nancy was a lesbian and Bev was the sea hag mom. Bonnie sang and was married to David Crosby. Anne Marie was married to Dan's poker buddy and went to high school with Roseanne. Sitcoms are based on conflict and they were too much like Roseanne to be regulars IMO.
  20. The things Trump has said would appeal to the working class. You can argue whether it was just things he said to get elected tho.
  21. A lot of people painted or wall papered over light switches back then.
  22. Kathy was the best but you are right about serving the writer's purposes. The Bowman's moved away either because Roseanne thought it was to "sitcomy" having a rival neighbour and grew weary of it, OR, when Becky left they wanted to repeat the Darlene/Becky rivalry with another teenage girl (ie Molly). Charlotte was just a bonus.
