I would like to see Icicle try to court Barbara, but first he has to kill her husband. Then Icicle finds out that Stripesy is more than a match for him.

I believe I remember that someone in a 3rd class dining car mentioned that they pay with 3rd class credits. I wish they would show us how society functions normally before they burn it all to the ground. It might help us sympathize with the people trying to change things and understand what those changes might look like.

If you don't know and want to know, I posted my theory in the "Getting the Verdict Early: Spoiler (and book) talk" section it is the only post in there so you won't be too spoiled. The theory is based only on what has been shown in the episodes so far so it doesn't actually contain any real spoilers.

Does anybody know if this will be available on the free portion or do you have to have a paid subscription to watch this?

I just want to go on the record as saying it is "wrong" for the Dragon King to brainwash hot sexy young women to be Cindy's mother. But, if he was going to hold a seminar, I would like to RSVP in advance. Does the Dragon King have a normal face, so that he can mingle in town with the rest of society or is he always plotting from the shadows?

Charlie Manx does seem to know the name and life story of every single child he meets. He knows when the parents of that child should be punished (when a child is longing for a better happier life?).

I would suggest that you keep your eyes on her mother, something's just not right with that woman. This is set in 1032? So I looked up Prohibition and it says January 17, 1920 – December 5, 1933. I was just curious since Perry is a drunk and the lawyers were openly (private club) drinking. Old Black guy with a shotgun seemed drunk. Hollywood premiere was openly serving cocktails. Chubby appeared drunk in public. Are they ignoring prohibition?

So did Perry kill more enemy soldiers or his own soldiers?

Getting the Verdict Early: Spoiler (and book) talk
AnimeMania replied to Door County Cherry's topic in Perry Mason (2020)
It's not so hard to guess what happened. The wife knew her husband's father was rich and gave him some money to start a business. The wife has an affair with some guy who works at an alligator farm. She says her baby likes turtles so she has a reason to go there and see the guy. The wife wanted her husband's father to give them more money so she and the alligator guy stage the kidnapping. The alligator guy, wife, and baby plan to run off together a little while after they get their share of the ransom. The people who help him plan the kidnapping screw it up and accidentally kill the baby. If the baby hadn't died, this wouldn't have been made public and the police would have never been involved. The police officer who helped in the kidnapping kills everybody involved. The wife, husband, and husband's father are members of a radio megachurch who refuse to let the tragedy of the kidnapping quietly die out until justice has been served. Alligator guy was the one who fell off the building head first and the crooked police kidnapper tried to cover that up with a shotgun blast and suicide note. -

The whole setting seems severely anachronistic and futuristic at the same time. The trains systems are futuristic with computers and such, but everything else seems anachronistic. LJ and the killer had tons of record albums and a record player, when a MP3 player would have a better selection and take up way less space and weight. Nobody seems to be using computers or cell phones, the Nightcar seems to be stuck in 1930's Germany, the rich people still get dressed up to take their meals. Everybody seems to be stuck the way they were when they first boarded the train.

Why didn't Perry just ask the thread guy what kind of thread that was. I am sure the thread guy would have told him something like "It is the same thread that taxidermists use to sew stuffed alligators closed" or something to that effect. You would think the jails would be filled to the brim during a depression, since everybody would be looking for a free meal. Anyway three-legged dogs seem to be doing quite well in this era.

This show is quickly devolving into sex and violence, with a side order of backstabbing. I was surprised that Josie is gone. The episode did give you a semi-decent glimpse of the train route map. I manipulated the colors to make the lines stand out better. The map has some really sharp turns for no reason.

Wow, they made Jim Norton almost seem like a normal human. The hospital seemed unusually empty at night. Why is Vic living right near where Charlie Manx lived?

I don't think you should consider a scientist evil because they noticed a problem and figured out a solution. The scientist wouldn't be doing their job properly if they didn't try to think of every solution possible. The real solution to the problem might not be doing a lot of just one thing, but a little bit of a lot of different things. You never know how well something will work, so the more options you have, the more likely the problem can be solved. Mac's mother came up with one scenario for how to solve the problem and the government killed her before she could offer any other alternatives. Mac is already thinking of different solutions to the same problem, but the powers that be seem to have locked their minds into thinking there is only one answer to the problem.
