  1. A review site said it was an inferior version of "San Junipero" from "Black Mirror".
  2. Episode 4: Layover Airdate: October 26, 2020 What a load of garbage, who dances to YMCA today, let alone in the future. Seems like they should be more traumatized after killing 5 people, in a small town, 3 of which were crooked cops. I would think they would be more worried about retaliation from the police, criminals, fortune tellers and from stealing the bikes. It is amazing that Mexico still has crappy Volkswagen Taxis in the future. I was kind of hoping that the two main characters would have been blown up in the warehouse as well, they did get the death card.
  3. Prodigal Son is returning on Tuesday nights sometime in January on FOX.
  4. A Creepshow Animated Special Premieres Thursday, October 29. The special features two stories directed by Creepshow showrunner Greg Nicotero, with animation by Octopie animation studio. "Survivor Type," based on the short story by Stephen King and adapted by Nicotero, stars Kiefer Sutherland (24, Designated Survivor) as a man determined to stay alive alone on a deserted island no matter what the cost. "Twittering from the Circus of the Dead," based on the short story by Joe Hill and adapted by Melanie Dale, stars Joey King (The Kissing Booth, The Act) as a teen whose family road trip includes a visit to the gravest show on earth.
  5. According to all the websites I read, he meant Daimon and Ana.
  6. Episode 6: The Media is available on October 23. Guests include: Documentarian and journalist Soledad O'Brien; actor Bradley Whitford; actor and comedian Chris Redd.
  7. If I was Zed, the moment she told me I drank poison, I would have forced some down Gwynn's throat to make her die with me or have her show us where the antidote is before she dies herself. Ugh! Another mind control story, I thought Garret's went on for twice as long as it should have. They need some new writers.
  8. Season 2 Episode 3 "Crispr Sistr" I am not sure if that episode made any sense what so ever. Was the healthier sister pretending to be the sicker sister and doing both jobs? Why pretend to be working on diseases that you are not working on?
  9. He's lucky he's still working. Advertising budgets are often cut in a recession. I guess he's high enough up the ladder that he might not have to worry about layoffs, but it would be realistic for those Zoom calls to include conversations about laying people off because this or that client scaled back their ad buy, or they lost the client altogether. There are so many more places to advertise these days, now that all eyes are focusing on the web. You need somebody young and in touch with the internet to show these large established Advertising companies how to become involved with e-sports, product placements in video games, influencer sponsorships, ect. I was surprised that Junior wasn't selected to find that hidden revenue to keep the company afloat and that he would be considered to be a more essential worker than Dre was. That would have totally pissed Dre off.
  10. I would have ended the episode the same way, except as Crazy Woman drove away, a Mac truck T-bones her car, showing that revenge is never sweet. The End. I would have had it end with Crazy Woman's wife finding out that she cheated on her with a man. The wife gets a divorce and takes the kids. The Crazy Woman's life is just as ruined as the professor's. Confucius says “Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves.”
  11. Helstrom: A Superficial Study I thought that the story was good, not great, but satisfactory. It seemed to make sense without contradicting itself. The rest of production needs to be kicked up a notch. The setting of Portland made everything dark and dreary to create an atmosphere that I think the show took to an extreme. While everyone is dressed in drab clothes, the show needed some big splashes on color to remind me that the show was not filmed in Black and White. The lighting is dull, there are few brightly lit scenes, the few well lit areas were the mother's (Victoria) demon coma scenes and the sister's (Ana) warehouse scenes. There weren't many jump scares in a story about demons. One place were color and jump scares were used effectively was in the crash on the highway scene. The fire was big, bright and colorful and they did a jump scare to Close-To-Nun (Gabriella). For future episodes, the show needs more color, bright scenes and jump scares. Boy is Ana tall and skinny, they try to make her seem irresistible to people of all sexes, but I am just not feeling it. She is not bad looking, so I don't know why it is so uncomfortable to watch her try to seduce people. Gabriella is the person we are supposed to identify with as we learn about this world that is filled with demons. Unfortunately she is boring, uncool, headstrong, always needs saving and never gets a win. The only thing going for her is her compassion for people. Speaking of compassion, the show fails to show people's humanity to balance out the demon's ruthlessness. The show tends to skimp on humanity and only shows you the demons. Horror works best if you can see a little of people's goodness before you turn them into demons, a great example of this was the Priest turned Demon. The show seems to be wimping out on the special effects, a lot of the murders seem to happen off camera. The scene of the Frat Boy turned demon was an example that didn't work, we knew absolutely nothing about him since we didn't see any of him or the party, before the Frat Boy wakes up under a pile of dead bodies. A party would have been a bright, colorful, joyful, humanizing way to show people and a massacre would be full of jump scares and murder special effects, but they skipped over the good parts straight to someone being a (snooze) demon. The Frat Boy scene also had me confused as there was no context for what was going on and they had to fill that in much later and there still wasn't any payoff. The sets are amazing in how unamazing and normal they are. The only interesting spaces were Ana's warehouse. Even the brother's (Daimon) office held no interesting Demon Artifacts that might seem even a little out of place. Daimon's house does have that Roman Chariot Statue on the dining room table. The special effects are well done, but subdued, they need to be more ambitious and flashy in future episodes.
  12. Coroner has started filming its 10 episode Season 3 in September.
  13. A short video showing how they used computers to layer in some of the special effects of Season 2 of The Umbrella Academy. THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY VFX REEL REVEALS THE SECRETS BEHIND SEASON 2'S SUPERPOWERS
  14. Talk about saving some money on Special Effects. I am headed to the packing lot out back to catch us some pigeons, then we will walk across the street to that sleazy motel.
  15. Episode 3: Little Adventures Airdate: October 19, 2020 I thought this was a much better episode, since I didn't have to constantly wonder what this had to do with Soulmates. The married couple seemed to already realize that something was missing from their marriage since they were already seeing other people in an open marriage. Now that they found their Soulmates, they can finally close their marriage. The new people pushed them to be more assertive and fulfilled in their lives at work and at home. I guess this was a positive result since everyone seems to be happier in the end.
  16. Based on the Dark Horse comic, SYFY's "Resident Alien" follows Harry, an alien played by Alan Tudyk ("Rogue One," "Firefly") that crash lands on Earth and passes himself off as a small-town human doctor. Harry starts off living a simple life… but things get a bit rocky when he's roped into solving a local murder and realizes he needs to assimilate into his new world. As he does so, he begins to wrestle with the moral dilemma of his secret mission and asking the big life questions like: "Are human beings worth saving?" and "Why do they fold their pizza before eating it?" In the following look at the pilot episode, see the backstory on how an alien who crash-lands on Earth ends up hiding in plain sight among the locals:

  19. This is out now on Hulu. The first episode was a little slow, but the rest of the episodes managed to hold my attention. I made it through 5 episodes before I decided I should get some sleep.
  20. I watch everything with subtitles/closed captions. I just pretend like I am getting too old to hear everything clearly, but I don't think that is the real reason. It also gives me a leg up if I need to spell a character's name correctly.
  21. The Amber Ruffin Show is curiously missing from Peacock tonight. I went looking for why and couldn't find anything. Here are some videos that were posted today. Seth Off-Air: Amber Ruffin In this podcast exclusive conversation, Seth talks to Amber Ruffin, host of The Amber Ruffin Show on Peacock, away from his desk in Studio 8G. https://podcasts.apple.com/fi/podcast/seth-off-air-amber-ruffin/id1182084796?i=1000495004930
  22. Episode 5: But Her Emails is available on October 16. Guests include: Crooked Media's Jon Lovett and Jon Favreau; showrunner Robin Thede; Desus Nice and The Kid Mero. .
  23. 'The Last O.G.' Renewed for Season 4 as Star Tiffany Haddish Departs
  24. Season 2 Episode 2 "Borders" Should you be more worried that you found a woman completely submerged under water "who fell asleep in the bathtub" or that she was fully dressed when you found her. My alarm bell is ringing either way. There was something off about that video phone call, the video was perfectly fine but the audio was bad? When the guy couldn't hear the woman on the phone, did he start looking around the room like she might have been hiding from him?

    S01.E02: FILE #2

but we already had Person of Interest And are people today, more interested or less interested in show where rich people who blatantly do illegal acts to get richer, get their just deserts. Name an era when this type of show wouldn't be popular.
