  1. "Jill wants to be a midwife so I have to do some sort of midwifery thing." Much like the other boys getting their pilot licenses because JD likes being a pilot.
  2. The other kids don't seem to have true outside hobbies or interests. They seem to have their interests and hobbies foisted on them rather than have them grow organically. JD seems to like being a pilot so all the other boys have to be pilots. Etc. I did see someone call Jana The Great Value Joanna Gaines but at least her interest in decorating and renos seems genuine even if they aren't exactly all that interesting.
  3. Once she's on Pregnancy #3 and Baby #2 is born, people will have lost interest. The twins and Jason should be courting someone by that point and/or married. No1curr. I understand they wanted Josiah married off ASAP. If the Josh scandals hadn't broke, he probably would have married Marjorie as soon as she turned 18. He would have gotten married before Jinger and Joe. But they could have found someone a wee bit more palatable than Lauren. The only one that will outdo Lauren is the girl who was on the Greece missionary trip. If she is indeed courting Jason or one of the twins.
  4. I'll go back to the Duggarlings being emotionless robots who had the idea of appropriate emotions beat out of them from a young age. However, JB would benefit greatly to hire a social media consultant who has to approve all their social media activity. Lauren Markle can compare everything to her miscarriage on a private account, Anna Smuggar can go on political tirades on a private account with emojis, the Dillards can post their dirty house selfies with inappropriate captions on a private account... You get where I'm going here. If being social media moguls is the back up plan when the show ends they are in an over-saturated market. They can't afford to make any missteps. Even if they are emotionally stunted. The internet is not all that forgiving. The Strange Planet guy lost followers and income for less because he didn't clean up his social media once his comics went viral. They may have to head over to Chernobyl to take selfies. I hear that's the latest fad to get $$$ in the influencer market.
  5. I think they had Jessa craft something to counter the backlash of the Jill, Lauren, and Jana posts. I found their tributes odd (to be polite) but then I remember that they're Duggars and the idea of emotion was blanket trained out of them at a young age. And if they found it, they were sent to camp to have it beat out of them again.
  6. Let's go back to the advice Jill gave married women recently. That's probably all she does.
  7. Amy posted on IG about it. She was very close. She said Grandma Mary helped raise her. She was probably like a second mother to Amy.
  8. I liked Joy's the best. It was right to the point and it was personal. Not just "Yay she's meeting Jesus now!" That is really freaking awkward. Plus we got to know something about Grandma Mary. She was letting the kiddos watch TV with her. Tell us more about how she subverted the rules.
  9. Wait. Grandma Mary let them watch those heathens Bob Barker and Drew Carey with the NIKE! Barker's Beauties? She clearly had a TV with rabbit ears in that laundry room. I hope she's at peace, wherever that may be, yelling at the contestants for being so stupid on TPIR.
  10. Lauren is one of those women if she hadn't been taught she would be an old maid by the time she was 20 and needed to procreate for Jesus that would have made it in the "secular" world. I think that makes her even harder to take because she could be channeling her energy elsewhere rather than being Josiah's proof that he's the manliessly man who ever manned. Narrator: "You aren't fooling anyone Si Duggar."
  11. These two remind me of a wedding sermon performed by a priest a long time ago. He said in some marriages there are two rings. In other marriages there are three rings: his wedding ring, her wedding ring, and bicke-ring.
  12. I feel as if I was proven right. The conversation has turned to Jill and how she would eff up blonde hair. 😂
  13. Good luck posting on Reddit certain times of the day. I've posted negative opinions of the Vuolos on /r/DuggarsSnark and gotten down into the double digit negatives before rising up again. There are people who watch that subreddit like a hawk and get upset when the Vuolos specifically are "attacked". It's not as bad here but Jinger does seem to get a bit more leeway than her sisters because "she's made changes". I think Jill would have gotten a far worse reaction if she had did this and a much bigger mockery.
  14. I find some of it odd. I remember saying a while back that it seemed like you couldn't say a negative thing about the Vuolos. I think we're starting to swing back into that territory. Just because they look like us doesn't mean they are just like us. Blonde hair, skinny jeans, shorts, wine drinking, delaying pregnancy, whatever... Jinger still espouses the same hateful beliefs that the rest of the Duggar clan does. She was handing out leftlets for the CPC run by Jeremy's church when they first got married. The "lifestyle changes" are to make them more friendly and relatable despite having the same hateful beliefs as the rest of the Duggars. The only one in this clan that has shown any interest in progressive ideals was Ben with BLM. The rest have remained intellectually stunted and if I daresay, unwilling to change. You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig. Jinger looks less frumpy than her sisters and is a lot more marketable brand (yes she is a brand at this point). The Vuolos are the most dangerous kind of fundie. They don't act like the freakshow Duggars but hold the same awful beliefs.
  15. Yeah. That's where I am at. I think Bible Barbie is apt here. "You can brush my hair, undress me everywhere. Imagination, life is your creation."
  16. I don't think the act itself is shallow. I think it was utterly predictable with the move to LA and "the real big city". Not going to say it is disappointing or whatever but it's another edition of "Fundies! They're just like us!" when Jinger goes for a shocking color change.
  17. Probably ran out of aunt-moms to take care of the M'kids.
  18. Yeah knowing Jeremy, Jinger went to the salon. It really reminds me of the results of those dyes in the 60s and 70s that my grandma would use though. It's going to be orange and falling out soon enough though. I'm doubtful that she knows how to properly care for it to make sure that it doesn't go brassy. And even with the best of care it can go brassy, happened to my sister and that's why she's no longer Gwen Stefani blonde.
  19. I'm meh on it. It doesn't look horrible but it doesn't look great either. I think she needs a different shade of blonde. It looks like she went for the box dye when she should have gradually worked up to blonde. A lot of stylists are starting to refuse to bleach darker hair. I was very surprised that my sister had to go to 4 different salons before a stylist agreed to bleach and dye her brown hair blonde. I probably have no room to criticize since I use box dye to get my Jean Grey red hair tho... Nothing wrong with box dye, it's just figuring out your coloring.
  20. I think most of us guessed she would go blonde before hitting up LA. Gotta fit in with the fiancees and wives of Babe's "friends"!
  21. Maybe Jessa let Bin read a non-Christian book and he decided to read about the Tudors? I'm doubtful Jessa would know that there was a Lady Jane Grey. She would probably think it was a type of tea.
  22. Yeah the elliptical is much better for your joints than the treadmill. It all depends on what you want to get out of it. Are you just wanting to exercise? The switch is a little bit of a brain teaser but doesn't take very long. If you're looking to actually run and get the feeling of running then stick to the treadmill. I wanted to start running again but I don't think my body is built for it. I've been doing barre and TRX for the past several years instead. Unfortunately I know those can be cost prohibitive but I highly recommend TRX to people if they can find a beginner/low intensity class to start off with.
  23. So I guess Catherine after Catherine Parr is out of the question then. Yeah Josh never had to answer questions about his failed courtship. They've never really addressed Josiah's have they? It was a win-win on Jessa's part. I'm not entirely sure it was a win on Ben's part.
  24. Just do a new opening that Michelle gave birth to 19 little blessings. They must have some unseen footage. I'm very surprised they haven't done some creative editing to get residuals from the episodes. I imagine they'd pull in decent numbers during the daytime with the leg humpers. It's so bizarre to me that once Counting On (kinda) took off that TLC hasn't tested the waters with reruns.
