JD and Abbie: Captured Before the Rapture
PikaScrewChu replied to frenchtoast's topic in Counting On
They've preached a lot of things over the past three decades and gone back on them. The Duggars are raging hypocrites. That being said, Abbie still working while they were saying women shouldn't work outside of the household only slightly registers on the Duggar Hypocrite scale. They're still fundies and still dangerous but at least maybe there's some hope that this little girl will be allowed to pursue something rather than sitting around waiting for Prince Charming (unlike her other female cousins).- 4.0k replies

JD and Abbie: Captured Before the Rapture

Jana's IG stated that Abbie was a wonderful nurse. So she was still working after all? -
The Lonely Js Club: James, Jackson & Johannah
PikaScrewChu replied to SpaghettiTuesdays's topic in Counting On
The Tim Tebow thing came from someone on RadarOnline scraping content from FreeJinger. It was in a thread about making up a wild rumor about the Duggars and a poster with the username (I kid you not) grandmadugger posted the courtship rumor. Yeah... -

Mid-November. Siah's pants are way too tight. Yikes. It's almost as if no one taught him how to dress properly.- 6.4k replies

This is why I only do one (expensive) concert a year, if that. Ticket prices for major concerts are outrageous. I am shocked at the amount of people who pay for floor seats but spend half the concert going to and from concession for alcohol. Some of the packages for floor seats start at 300 and can go upwards of 700 dollars for less popular artists. I can't imagine what Taylor Swift or Ariana Grande cost for the VIP treatment. I wanted to see Ariana on this concert tour but it was nearly 300 for seats in the nosebleeds. No thank you, next. One of my friends did buy nosebleed seats to see Drake a couple years ago. The show hadn't sold out and his team didn't want him performing to a half sold out floor seats. People sitting up in the nosebleeds at that particular concert were upgraded to the floor.

I've noticed a huge shift towards TV shows being more attentive towards YouTube and Facebook clips than the actual television show itself. A lot of late night shows have the monologue up before the show airs on the east coast. I've noticed a lot of AGT clips from past seasons resurfacing on Facebook lately. Or maybe the people I'm Facebook friends with are not all that current. Who knows.

Josh & Anna Smuggar: A Series of Unfortunate Events
PikaScrewChu replied to maraleia's topic in Counting On
The Forsyths were involved in the Greece missioncation with Lauren Caldwell, Jason, and Madi Nicole. I imagine they were compensated accordingly for herding a bunch of 18 and 19 year olds and keeping them from sinning. Plus they host a lot of "retreats" at Fort Rock and rely on seemingly free labor. This year's schedule looks barren compared to previous years though. -
I'm not sure how the laws work around renting in California but I'm going to assume that it would have been harder and more expensive to find a place to rent with pets. That and Jinger was probably itching to get rid of that cat. Jake, the one thing Jeremy loved that Jinger did not love.

Joy and Austin: This One Time At Family Camp
PikaScrewChu replied to frenchtoast's topic in Counting On
Michelle had two home births, Jinger and Joe. I do think it comes down to a question of money. TLC doesn't pay for the medical bills so they are doing the equivalent of "buy used and save the difference" when it comes to childbirth. -
Yikes. Who was voting for Ansley to go through? Did Simon set up a bunch of bot accounts?

He's truly going to go out for a pack of cigarettes and never come back, isn't he? -
Them panning to Terry during Kodi's performance was the best part of the entire two hours. Terry Crews seems like a genuinely nice man. That's about all I've got.

Joy and Austin: This One Time At Family Camp
PikaScrewChu replied to frenchtoast's topic in Counting On
Yeah as soon as she drops off the radar (especially with how frequently she's posting on social media right now) the rumors are going to start. I don't think they're going to confirm until they're in the viability zone after this. The Forsyths (Austin moreso than Joy) don't seem to crave the spotlight the way the others do. Joy will be under the microscope every step of the way and it seems neither one particularly enjoys it. -

I don't think the Duggar women were built for birthin' and pregnancy like their mother was. Granted Michelle did manage to have competent medical care throughout her pregnancies and deliveries. Who is to say if she hadn't had the care she did? I think JB and Meech set the expectations too high and made it all look just that easy. It reminds me of one sex ed teacher I had that told us pregnancy and childbirth was no big deal. His wife had easy pregnancies and his wife's two labors were 90 minutes and 45 minutes long. There are times I half wonder if that's part of the reason we had a bunch of pregnancy scares shortly afterwards. -

It's starting to become trendy to wear a t-shirt underneath. I'm seeing it where I live with the young'uns. A lot of trendy places were selling shirts and dresses like this. They don't work well if you're anything more than an A cup. So girls and young women were wearing t-shirts underneath. I tried on a few just for the lolz when buying new dresses this summer. I would have had to wear a modesty tee with them. -

Probably. Jubilee was measuring at 15/16 weeks so that's when they pinpointed that Michelle miscarried. Joy and Austin have never said anything further than there was no heartbeat at the 20 week ultrasound at the end of June. The only thing we knew prior to that was that Joy was due between Kendra and Lauren. -

They went in for the ultrasound June 26th at 20 weeks and discovered no heartbeat. Jubilee was fetal demise at 16 weeks and technically a second trimester miscarriage. -

It's hard to say which way it goes. I don't think we will get a Forsyth #3 announcement until Joy is 23-24 weeks along this time around. They've been on a social media posting frenzy though since the stillbirth. It's very odd to see a constant social media presence from these two when they were fairly quiet beforehand. -

Bold prediction. I don't think Austin and Joy are going to hit the double digits now. I'm ready to come back in 15 years and eat my words though. -
Jana is still at home and I'm doubtful JB and Meech would be happy if she decided to start wearing jeans on the regular. Might be a bad influence on the Lost Girls. I figure Jessa wears them as a part of the "brand" and Joy wears skirts and dresses because her headship prefers them. Michaela and Erin are saturated in the IBLP Kool-Aid. Those two are never going to deviate from that. Tori, who knows. I haven't seen much of her to form an opinion on her. She has been overshadowed by Josie and Carlin (although she might be relieved).

Josiah and Lauren: He Has To Marry Somebody
PikaScrewChu replied to frenchtoast's topic in Counting On
The snip? Nah. More like a permanent headache. "Lauren, Miss Teresa's husband said I have some sort of brain thingy that can't be fixed. I cannot resume bedroom relations." I'm sure Lauren is going to be surely too weak from childbirth for several months to look after this kid. I wonder which Aunt-Mom will be moving in. -
