  1. Thanks for sharing the trailer for Blackish. It looks like it could be funny and it's certainly relatable to me. I laughed at the African rites of passage scene, my parents tried to do something similar with me and my siblings when we moved to a predominately white neighborhood and school.
  2. I miss the days when Teresa was peeling back stacks of cash to pay for gawdy furniture (before we knew the possible shady source of the income); that was reality gold!
  3. When I referenced her personality, I was speaking generally, not so much about her modeling career. Even when she's on the show, I've not been able to discern her personality. Lately all she does is pout, whine or sulk and take photos. This isn't a dig, she seems like a nice enough person, just bland. Since we're on the topic of model personalities. I kind of miss the supermodels of the 90s. They had glamour and personality. I mean, Naomi has personality for daaaays and still works to this day! Maybe Kendall will develop her own model personality with time.
  4. I stopped watching mid-last season because I don't enjoy seeing families fight or the fallout on the kids. I was so disgusted last season. This is the first RH franchise I gave up on (aside from Miami, which I never watched).
  5. Sonja take note: that's how you throw a party! No disrespect to the woman from Boston, but I find Aviva so off-putting that I fast forward all of her scenes.
  6. She's beautiful, but where is her personality?
  7. And yet, I was thinking the same thing, lol. Nice one, iwasish.
  8. My god, yes! Did no one think of the offensive implications of that?
  9. Yep! They are practically begging to have a clothing-rebellious child. I can just see a 14-year old North mouthing off to her parents, "Like, look, Yeezus, I am wearing a pink dress to the 8th grade dance! Haha! And mom and grandma, please don't hit on my boyfriend. It's grooooosssss!"
  10. French Onion (tm lizzy07), posted a loving, tasteful pic of Khloe's giant (I think fake) ass. French Montana Posts Picture of Khloe Kardashian's Butt, Shares his Girlfriend's Assets with the World Man, I knew there had been rumors she got butt injections, but I really noticed how ginormous it'd gotten on last night's show. No way is that natural! She lost all that weight, yet her ass got larger? I know the disrespectful way these girls talk to their mom is nothing new, but seriously, WHO talks to their parent that way?! WHY would you let your kids speak to you that way?!
  11. I agree with the assessment that Brody may have residual resentment toward his dad. Bruce decided to finally be a dad to the rest of his bio kids? Now that they're adults and some of the hardest parts are over? Well, great for you, but if I were one of those neglected children, I would have a hard time forgetting the past. You can forgive and make a concerted effort to overcome your resentment, but there may be triggers that resurface some of the pain. Especially when that very person's behavior directly impacted how you shaped your views of the world! Bruce can let Brody know he'd like to hear from him more often and Brody can decide how to proceed. But, Brody owes Bruce nothing. Is Brandon for real? He seems so zen and down to earth. He's often the voice of reason or a mediator. I want to like him (there are few people to like on this show!), but I'm afraid I'll find out he's secretly a misogynistic kitten-killer.
  12. I can see that. Like now that she's getting a little "older" it's time to start thinking about transitioning her hairstyle. She can still have the edge, but with a touch of adult.
  13. Ugh, that Elle article renewed my revulsion toward her. She is so not self-aware. No one fucking cared that she was pregnant! People thought she was a moron for insisting on continuing to dress like a sexpot, now with more "stuffing!" She is so tied to being sexy and desirable that she makes herself look grossly uncomfortable and worthy of titters and laughter. Even her sisters are calling her on her BS. Of course, she claims she was joking about pregnant women hiding out:
  14. The feminist in me feels like this should offend me, after all, if a woman wants to stuff her mouth full of dicks, that's her prerogative. I don't think that makes her a whore. On the other hand, this is Kim Kardashian we are talking about and aside from providing ample spank bank material, what value does she add to society? I don't exactly think the world is aching for more sex tape > fame role models.
  15. Would it be cruel to speculate on all the ways the world will change while he's in prison? Will Sheree finally have her house built? Will Nene still be a rich bitch? Will Kenya have her blue-eyed baby?
  16. I feel so bad for those kids. Two more little boys without their father. Damnit, Apollo!
  17. I thought it was kind of funny. I wouldn't be caught dead in such a video, of course.
  18. I know. I let shock of seeing her in bright blue overtake me and I got ahead of myself. She'll be back to dressing like a low rent Barbarella in a matter of days, I'm sure.
  19. Hehe, I'm not saying she looks perfect, but I feel like this is a step in a better direction. First - it's COLOR! The monochromatic look she's been going for is boring and so not versatile. Second, her makeup and hair are more understated (for her). Had she gone in jeans with the same hair, makeup and even a sexy top, she'd have looked closer to appropriate without losing her Kim-ness. She just tries too hard these days. Calm down girl! Jennifer Lopez is a good example of being able to fashionably adapt to her environments while staying true to her style. What has come of my life that I have written this much about Kim Kardashian's clothing choices?
  20. Most definitely they have more of a scripted bent than even The Housewives, however there are slivers of reality that sneak in. For instance, we've seen that Brianna's ex-husband is almost undoubtedly a tool; Terra feels somewhat threatened by Elena; Christy has some issues; Christy's fiance seems to have some lingering feelings toward his-ex, Brianna; I think Tonya and Trevore are legit...There's definitely some reality there and the women are compelling to watch.
  21. While this would not be my choice of attire for a trip to the carnival, I think this is the best I've seen Kim look in a while. Makeup is flawless, her mouth isn't open, she isn't sucking in her cheeks in that faux model way, she's actually pretty covered and the color is flattering. The shoes are nice! Kim Kardashian Really Raised The Bar For Theme Park Attire
  22. Ugh, yes. She was one of those guests. The ones who spend an inordinate amount of time checking their image in the camera. She is becoming such a joke. The epitome of a neurotic, spoiled, self-involved, descendant of a Hollywood bigshot.
  23. I like Carol. Out of all the Housewives, across all series, she is one of the few that inspires me. In the sense that, as a single, childfree woman in her mid-30s, she gives me hope that even if I don't find a wonderful partner, I can live a fabulous single life into my 50s. A life I'd actually want to live. Not the life that the media and society would have you believe is in store - one of a house full of cats (not that there is anything wrong with cats), no men, no love, no happiness, no smiles, looking like a hag and giving up on life. Carol shows that you don't have to be a hot mess like a Sonja, dependent on a man for your esteem. She appears to have a full life, with rich past experiences, she dates (albeit sometimes awkwardly), has friends, a career to be proud of, owns a great apartment in my favorite city in the world, smokes a little weed and smiles a lot. Seems pretty good to me! Until I hear that Carol strangled some puppies or hates black people (I am black), I remain a fan. She is flawed, so is everyone else in life, and I enjoy watching on her on TV.
