  1. Joy has awesomely called Bits out on her bullshit, calling her remarks hateful and calling on Bits to explain the "spit in the face of the military" lie: http://m.nydailynews.com/entertainment/tv/joy-behar-slams-elisabeth-hasselbeck-rosie-o-donnell-view-comments-article-1.1861863
  2. Thanks for the Daily Mail link. My quibble is that they refer to Bits as a "pundit." That implies she has her own thoughts and opinions. She does not. I had forgotten about this: First off, what is "talk about not securing the border" mean? Is that supposed to be a joke of some kind? It makes no sense. And as far as her righteous indignation that Roise "spit [sic] in the face of her own network", it's that network that's inviting her back, so apparently they're not as outraged by this as you purport to be. Never mind the disgusting exaggeration of "spit[ting] in the face of the military." Rosie's opinions were directed toward the US policy in Iraq. This is a woman who recounted with tears about learning that neighbors' boys had died in Vietnam and seeing disabled kids come home from that war. She felt very deeply for the individuals in the military. More so than little miss Team Red White and Blue.
  3. If Bitsy cared so much about American jobs (she claimed to be very concerned when she was slamming Obama) she could have made sure she only associated with products made there. She also did infomercials for China-made ab-gliders. Nobody put a gun to her head and made her do these gigs. I have seen folks on Shark Tank who turn down offers because the offer would require offshore manufacturing and they want to keep their companies local. If it mattered to Bitsy, she would have been more selective in the crap she shilled. Or just not done the deal.
  4. That summarizes her shallow view of "patriotism." Screw Americorps, voter registration drives, the Peace Corps. Patriotism is running a 10K with some military friends and baking a dumb cake.
  5. Fake patriotism is the refuge of scoundrels. How outrageous that Bitsy is regurgitating that trumped-up fight from seven years ago. Rosie has done a lot for military families (eg she produced a documentary on how hard it is for the families when their loved one is deployed), and soon will be a military mom herself. Which is more than Bitsy can say. Why didn't Tim enlist, like Pat Tillman did? And from what I can tell, neither her father or her brother served (we would have heard about it ad nauseam if they had.) Bitsy's idea of "patriotism" is running marathons with her friends from West Point who were lucky enough to get through their service unscathed, unlike the many folks in hospitals or rehab centers who can't run in any "Team RWB" races. And what is this jibbajabba about Rosie co-producing Babs' farewell episode? Is she just making this crap up? Part of me thinks she is kind of pissed -Rosie's deal sounds sweet, and this dummy is stuck with two doofuses at 6am interviewing fringe loonies. But part of me thinks she doth protest too much and like everything she does, she's putting on an act. Was it *really* necessary to call in on vacation? Of course Fox loves this shit because it got their dumb show some attention. I do love her trying to stir the pot with Whoopi. Troublemaker. Makes me really happy for Rosie. Living well is the best revenge. And Rosie looks happy. That picture of Bits on the dlisted link makes her look wrinkly and crepe-y. She is getting the face she deserves.
  6. As well-choreographed as the hip-hop routine was, I couldn't get into it because it was set to "Night Shift", the song written for Marvin Gaye after his father murdered him. Seemed off-putting to me to see the song's title taken so literally.
  7. When it was announced last year that she was joining Fox and Friends, I didn't give Bitsy long there, because I thought it was a news show and other than repeating bullet points, Bitsy never seemed natually interested in current events. But having now watched the show, I was wrong. It's not a news show at all. It's the video equivalent of those crazy email rants that your crazy uncle forwards you, complete with a flying eagle animated GIF. For six months, it was three hours of an "Obamacare" pile-on. Now that the enrollment deadline has passed, it's now Lois Lerner all day, every day, with a little Benghazi thrown in for variety. In other words, it's up her alley. No critical thinking skills needed. To the extent she wants the job, she will keep it. (Until she ages. Unless you have a brain, like Grethen Carlson or Greta,Fox doesn't have much use for older women.) Bitsy could never sustain a show on her own.
  8. I agree. A few years ago there was a minister who went pretty far on Jeopardy and on a few of the shows, he wore his clerical garb, and I didn't care for that, either.
  9. A meh show (Cole is so BLAH but I loved her top) but I found Don Johnson charming and gracious. He also seems to be a pretty solid guy, when he talked about how he financially supports his kids if they want to go to college but won't support them laying about. I'm not sure he's had work done (although seemingly almost everyone his age in Hollywood has) but if so, it's not horrific. Good to see Chrissy still making music, the Pretenders were such a great band. And she too looks good (alhough I get what attica says about the bangs! But that's always been her thing.
  10. Here's Bitsy's b.s. response to the news: http://www.usmagazine.com/entertainment/news/elisabeth-hasselbeck-shocked-by-sherri-shepherd-leaving-the-view-2014276 She's as word-salady as ever: "in some ways." Really? in some ways, you weren't? You're either shocked or you're not. She just talks to fill the silence. Also from the article: Yeah, that really turned out to be the case.
  11. "understand Nigel's impatience with auditioners who don't take the inititative to get a few lessons in genres other than what they specialize in. This show is all about diversity." I guess he's changed his view since the show basically directed Melanie's win by overwhelmingly giving her contemporary or jazz routines. On that note, I still don't get why contemporary dancers don't get sent to choreography more. There's nothing inherent in stomping/rolling around on the floor/running/squatting that seems to make up contemporary on this show that would make it easier for such dancers to work with a partner, any more so than a so called "street" style. (I'm showing my bias against contemporary here!)
  12. "Was GMC showing off calling it the President's Own?" Seemed like showboating like me....
  13. Eugene O'Neill was a triple stumper? Good grief.
  14. I wonder what the racial breakdown is on who gets sent to choreography. Seems to be a lot of minorities (disproportionately so?) from the small glimpses we get.
  15. Apparently Kate Middleton's grandmother (and her grandmother's twin sister) worked at Bletchley during the war. Pretty cool! Here's her at the opening of Bletchley's restoration project. She looks pretty excited. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2661196/A-right-royal-salute-The-Duchess-Cambridge-pays-tribute-codebreaker-grandmother-reopens-Bletchley-Park.html
  16. A meh show. I thought the kid comedian was so gross - jokes about his father's penis and his mother performing oral sex? ICK.
  17. I hesitate to put this up, given the level of sheer delight some people take in mocking Sherri's situation, but just around the time of their trip out to Los Angeles that seems to be the point of no return for the marriage, Sherri engaged in a twitter interview with a website, the transcript can be found at http://fanity.com/SherriShepherd/1395880276 (Read from the bottom up.) It's painful to read given how we all know things turned out, but she says that she wasn't interested in Sal at first because he wasn't her type, and Niecy told her, "date your priority, not your preferences." Oy. Okay, I get that you can't just date some hot guy without thinking how he's going to fit into your life (including any kids you may already have), but at the same time, it sounds like Niecy was really advising Sherri to look for a stepfather, and not a husband. And from this chat, it sounds like Sherri was really overwhelmed and was looking for some help. Sal knew how to play the role, and he got the part. Sociopathic.
  18. Yeah, the fix was in for Melanie her season. She got a disproportionate amount of dances that she was considered good at (jazz, contemporary). Every once in a blue moon they gave her something out of her speciality (disco e.g.) and it showed. Plus she was paired with the excellent Marko and her all-stars were also strong (Neil in the Total Eclipse of the Heart dance e.g. - he literally and figuratively carried her). I hated her as an All-Star because the judges would spend most of critique praising her (while she faked humility, poorly) while the poor contestant stood there as an afterthought. Anyway, I don't remember if she got a Broadway routine in her season, so I'm surprised she was picked for this (I suppose Mia had a lot to do with it). I thought her performance at the Tonys was awful - jerky and s******. Sure, a lot of it is the choreography but a more graceful and fluid dancer would have done a better job.
  19. So if Melanie is in the ensemble, this means she won't be an All-Star yet again? (Fingers crossed. I can't stand her "dancing.")
  20. I think Seth McFarlane is a smarmy hack (I liked Graham's little dig that the movie, unlike "Family Guy", had a plot) but boy was his and Charlize's appearance on the show like a breath of fresh air and lightened the mood of the rest of the evening.
  21. " I believe she had a BA in history and an MS in Engineering. How the hell does that happen?" I kid you not, the "engineering" degree is some "logistics and supply chain management" degree that MIT offers. Not all MIT engineering degrees are created equal. In ten months you can get yourself this (and then become a "supply chain specialist.") Sounds like Julia was looking for MIT gloss on her resume.
  22. Liked Julia fine, but glad for the change. Hated her vocal fry. I still don't know what she does for a living (she was completely incapable of explaining it when Alex asked her a few weeks back.)
  23. The clip that GInger90 posted from the View is so interesting, especially how the co-hosts' reacted. Bitsy was a typical idiot self crowing how wonderful Sal is, and Babs, for all her annoying qualities, asked *very* prescient questions, i.e. how is this slob going to take care of Sherri. I wish Joy had been there that day, it would have been very interesting to see what her reaction would have been. I am a stranger to Sherri and Sal's relationship and I don't know what happened, but if he exploited her devotion to her son as part of some "long con" to get a meal ticket from her....heaven help him, that's truly despicable.
  24. Unless you are a close associate or relative of Sherri, or a social worker assigned to her case, nobody has any qualification to say whether Sherri is a good mother or not. Certainly not someone whose only exposure to Sherri is from her standup, View work, or tweets.
