  1. I began to watch the show for Britt. I never heard Nastygal/Sophia and the trailer didn't convince me. But I've been a huge fan of Britt for years. And I loved, loved, loved this. Writing and acting is amazing. With a worse actress, Sophia could've come across just annoying and shallow, but I think Britt brought some depth to her, especially in the latter episodes. I watched the first two episodes a while back and binged the rest yesterday. Maybe after I think about it more, I could find some negative points, but right now I don't have a bad word to say. The episodes were entertaining and fast paced, there wasn't single dull moment that I can think of. Click here for TimesAndTreasures
  2. Huh, didn't even think about that. I was sure there will be some chosen one storyline. You shoot a car and suddenly the doors are all open. I guess this show takes place in the Grand Theft Auto universe. I don't know if the writers are to blame or the cast, or maybe I'm just nuts, but I didn't feel much when Lyla was killed in front of her mother. I mean, it should be a devastating scene, but it didn't turn out to be as heart breaking as the writers/director/producers probably intended. However, I felt bad when Vic was thrown out. But that may be due to Erik Knudsen, I've liked the guy since Scream 4. The mall manager is pretty entertaining. Telling indirectly everyone what to do, but when he's asked to do something, he's like "hell no, you decide, you do it". I hope he dies very gruesome death. Adrian and company are getting very boring. They just keep wandering aimlessly and there's nothing to fear for them, since they seem to be able to run around the mist all they want. And even another dead kid storyline in the same episode. Nope, still didn't feel much empathy. It was just something that happened. Jay really bothers me. Sometimes he looks like Zac Efron and suddenly he's Seth MacFarlane.
  3. It's quite funny to me, that you're wondering about grocery store in the mall. Here in Finland, every mall has at least one grocery store. The bigger ones have two.
  4. They sure went fast in building their own community at the mall, trying to make up their own laws and shit. The episode was maybe too much focused on Jay and Alex drama, but it didn't bother me too much, since we're just in the beginning stage. How many episodes there will be? I can't really see it exceeding 10, but who knows what they're going to make up.
  5. I think this was the best episode out of the three. It had decent suspense and I like where the storyline is going. Adrian was much more tolerable now.
  6. Wow, wasn't Adrian annoying and pretentious as fuck or what? And yeah, it was clear from the start that he's the rapist. Effects were kinda cheap and the writing wasn't that impressive, but I liked it. It didn't surprise me with quality, but didn't really disappoint either.
  7. Damn, here I was gonna be making burner phone joke, but you beat me to it. I laughed how Aria just left the phone on the floor, while still being on fire. Umm... Shipping montage was awful, but I'm fine with it, if it means there won't be anymore of that for the last two episodes. Edit. What happened to Sean Faris's character, Tanner's original partner, can't remember his name.
  8. That final scene was pure gold. Sure, Scheuring says that Jacob is now dead, but the way I see it, is that he's been getting T-Bagged for years and years to come. If Abruzzi JR is a big time crime lord, why was he alone in the warehouse when Linc confronted him? And there's no way he would leave Linc alone. Abruzzi SR managed to ran his business while being in Fox River. So Whip being T-Bag's son was only so that T-Bag would've a reason to hate the man. Okay. At first when Whip got shot, I thought he was for some reason and in some way faking his death with the bottled blood. Dumber things have happened in the show, so why not? I know a lot of people are cheering over Linc/Michael and Michael/Sara scenes, but for me the most emotional part of the episode and probably the season was the dude assassin asking for Sara to kill him, but Sara just walked away. I didn't care about the character one bit during the season, but I did feel so bad for him in that scene. Okay, so Michael's plan was to frame Jacob for the murder he actually committed. What if Jacob would've shot Michael before they got to the truck? He would've realized the gun is filled with blanks and knew something is wrong. And why the fuck didn't he bring his own gun? He relied everything on the chick assassin who, like we've all seen, is not that good at her job. Poor Sucre, he was all set going to be sex doll importer, but Michael's shenanigans got in the way. In a whole this season was just meh. The first couple of episodes didn't get me that excited, then it got stuck in Yemen for way too long. Last weeks episode was definitely the best one and the finale was okay. Even though it's filled with elements of the last two seasons (which I despise) of the original run, it wasn't as much of a disaster. It's easily digestible, so if they go for another round, I'll probably join them.
  9. Well that sucks. Although the cast wasn't that strong overall, I thought the shorter season was implicating that we'll get finale for the story and the characters. I'm gonna miss the chemistry between Audrey and Noah. Brooke was really good too.
  10. Wow, they actually made an episode, that for the most part was good. If only the rest of the season would've been like this, I would've been happy. Whip being T-Bag's son was the only thing that really bugged me. Other than that, I enjoyed the episode. It was dumb, fun, predictable and at some points even intense. C-Note and Sucre are most likely done now. I just don't see how "every returning character has a natural way and reason to come back". Other than the brothers and Sara, everyone were shoehorned in and the show would've worked just as fine without. I don't believe anyone thinks Michael got killed. The cliffhanger would've worked better if it ended with the chick assassin pointing her gun to Michael and Mike, who would cry and hug each other, fearing for their lives. I'm certain the dude assassin killed her, since there has been hints for another "bad guy turns good" storyline. And my god, does this show love that storyline. Bellick, Mahone, Kellerman and now even T-Bag? How the hell did they get in the airplanes, since they all were wanted and a big breaking news story?
  11. I've only seen the original series as a kid in the 90's, so I can't say if this is anything like it, but I really liked these first four episodes. I have no clue what's going on, but it kept me interested. Did anyone notice how much MacLachlan looked like Sigourney Weaver while wearing that wig? Just me?
  12. Yeah, I actually thought that was kinda obvious. We didn't see Jacob's face in the scene, since Michael didn't know yet that he's the husband. Also, when Mike was captured, we cut to Michael waking up saying his name. I feel like T-Bag's out of the game now, maybe he'll appear briefly in the finale. If that's the case, I'm glad. As much as I love Knepper, his presence was extremely forced.
  13. Is this Queen obsession going to have a important part at some point or is it just (very weak) attempt of characterization? I was cringing every time Rick Yune's character, whatever his name is, mentioned Mercury's ashes. I've never had a problem with the actor before, but I don't like him at all in this. Yeah, Sara's best friend is definitely a part of the conspiracy.
  14. I'm pretty sure it stands for "Usa Kite Lion". Maybe Michael's plan involves getting a lion somewhere and making sure it chases them. That way, when running for their lives, the adrenaline kicks in and they get to full speed. Then they jump off the cliff holding a kite and fly to USA.
  15. Sure. But Sara also knows what kind of a monster T-Bag is and that he's no way to be trusted. If she called Sucre and told briefly about the situation, Sucre would jump out of the ship and swim all the way to New York.
  16. I don't know man. He was on Bates Motel last year and I was surprised how little has he aged. He looked pretty much the same as he did in PB. Then again, none of the actors on PB seem to age.
  17. Yeah, there's no way Kellerman is dead. We didn't see him die. Plus, if he was, then there wasn't really much of a point for his return. This was definitely the best episode so far, but I still don't find it anything else but a continuation of the dreadful seasons 3 and 4. It doesn't have the magic the first and partially even second seasons did. I didn't even realize the traitor was Sara's husband, he's been so bland and boring that his face hasn't stuck with me yet. But it was really obvious that he's a bad guy. He's most likely not the Poseidon, since we still have five episodes to go and there are bound to be more twists coming. I'm just wondering why did T-Bag act shocked when he saw them. Has he met Sara's husband? I don't think he has any idea what the guy looks like. That green screen behind Linc was awful. Why on earth is Amaury Nolasco credited as starring? He had a brief visit in the first episode and then nothing. Now, I'm sure he comes into play once the brothers get back to USA, but we're almost halfway through. Couldn't he have been a special guest star during his very few episodes? And it makes no sense, that Sara called T-Bag for help and not Sucre. The guy would do anything for Michael, no questions asked.
  18. The only reason for them to be in the episode is just so Norman was reminded of Dylan and had a reason to call him.
  19. Now this episode finally made it clear. Bates Motel is my all time favorite drama series. When it was originally announced back in the day, I was ready to call it unnecessary and stupid before even seeing it. I only watched the pilot because Psycho is so amazing and I even love Psycho 2. The pilot was good, but the second episode is what really got me hooked and even though season 2 was a let down (although I enjoyed it more rewatching it), seasons 1, 3, 4 and 5 make up for it's flaws. My order for best to worst seasons is 5, 4, 3, 1 and 2. It's really rare to see show getting better over time. I only can think of The 4400 which did the same, when season 1 was good, 2 was great and 3 was bloody amazing. But then 4 took a step down, but it was still better than most shows. But about the episode itself. I loved how we have been building up for Romeros revenge for the whole season and then it was done in the first 10 minutes. The rest of the finale was about the Bates family, as it should've been. I'm glad they didn't force Madeline in, even though she was a big part of the season, there wasn't any need for her anymore. When Romero was killed and Norman started to relive the times when everything was still okay, my heart broke. It's borderline illegal for not nominating Highmore. He should win every Emmy there is. Finale was definitely his and Thierots show, both did phenomenal job. The shot of dead Norma and Norman with Dylan crying was outstanding, creepy and devastating. Now, I'm not usually a fan of the "character says final, meaningful words just before dying" cliche, but my god did I cry like a baby when Norman thanked Dylan. So I guess Edwards, Caleb and Bradley will forever stay missing. Poor Dylan, he doesn't even know his father is dead too. That F-bomb though. I guess they put it there, cause they knew there was nothing to lose anymore. But it was fitting at least. Didn't realize that. Are you sure? That seems kinda weird and dumb. But I let it roll, since the ending was just so perfect. I just can't really make it clear enough how much I love this show. I wasn't that much of a fan of Cuse, since Lost turned into such a ridiculous mess, but Bates Motel is one of the most naturally evolving, well thought out and constructed show's I've probably ever seen. I haven't been here that long, I was posting on IMDb previous seasons, but since they shut down the message boards, I needed to find another outlet to express my thoughts. Thank you all for providing such an interesting and respectable discussion over the season.
  20. Rick Yune. He's been atleast in one of Pierce Brosnan's 007 and in Olympus Has Fallen.
  21. How on earth did Linc and C-Note manage to hide in the backseat? And isn't it convenient that the guy was speaking english with Sheba, although she speaks arabic with everyone else. It's like the dude knew there were americans somewhere near. Why the fuck would Sara put Mike to school? He just went through a home invasion and his stepdad got shot and hospitalized. Sure this show has never made much sense but that still stuck out as incredibly dumb. For a 9 episode series, there sure is a lot of filler. And oh my god that clunky exposition dialogue throughout. But nonetheless, I will keep watching and waiting for it to get better.
  22. Audrey was never there, it was just a red herring.
  23. Yeah, and if Breakout Kings is still canon, he escaped and killed a lot of people like five years ago.
  24. Romero seeing Norma around the house was so bad. It was like from a soap opera. However, the rest of the episode made up for it. When at the beginning Greene said how she thinks Norman is making it all up, I was like 'so that's how they stretch the plot for last episodes'. But nope, it got turned around very quickly. But now that there's only two episodes, like under 90 minutes worth, I'm afraid it will be just about Norman's trial and then he's ultimately convicted. I'm not saying he shouldn't be convicted, but if these final two will concentrate only on that, it does feel kinda anti-climactic. At least now in advance, but they probably will find a way to make it interesting and intense. Or maybe the show is once again fooling with my expectations like it's been doing through out the season and they're doing something completely different. R.I.P. Chick. I loved the character and Hurst did amazing job, but it was so satisfying to see him die. And it came so out of the blue, there was no "physical" buildup for the death (Alex pointing the gun, them fighting or anything like that). It caught me off guard and I couldn't help but laugh.
  25. Jennifer is the reason I stuck with this show for as long as I did. If I remember correctly, I gave up at season 2 episode 7 or 8. The show is very bland and repetitive, but my god did I love Jennifer Goines. She's the best live action version of Harley Quinn, no questions asked.
