  1. Well, this was probably my least favorite episode of the whole series. Other than the stuff with Dirk, it dragged and nothing interesting happened. Well, at least not before the bridge scene. So ZoqFotPik was apparently right. Wendimoor doesn't exist in the wall painting (like I speculated), but instead it's all happening in Moloch's comatosed mind.
  2. My biggest complain for this season is that Ken and Bart are way too sidelined. I mean, yeah, Landis is doing his best to incorporate both of them into the story and more so could be forcing it. But as a fan of them and their chemistry, I'm slightly disappointed. Although that last scene with Panto and Bart could implicate that there's more to come for Bart. Or maybe she's "the boy". Anyway, Arnold was definitely not it, I don't believe it for one second. Who could've known that John Hannah and Alan Tyduk make such an effective bad guys. And if only we could now get Tyduk and Labine share scenes. Some kind of "Tucker & Dale" reunion.
  3. Damn, I had completely missed this season. But luckily I had five episodes to binge now. I love how they can throw any random, stupid idea they come up with and manage it actually to make some kind of ridiculous sense. I adore the show and this second season hasn't been a let down compared to the first. At first I was sceptical since I don't really care about fantasy as a genre or otherly worlds, but it definitely works here. I love, love, love Fiona Dourif so much. I think she has a nice chemistry with Panto, but I do hope she gets to reunite with Ken soon. By the way, does anyone else get the feeling that Wendimoor actually exists in the wall painting?
  4. Umm... So what happened with the prison guard? She was teamed up with Ally, so she let the poor new prisoner to die extremely violently, so that Kai could escape and attack Ally once again? And "that team leader thing was such a turn off". So was that the plan from the very first day Kai went to the prison or was she actually getting involved and later changed her mind? Like what the fuck? However it goes, her life is now ruined. I got the feeling that Ally didn't actually kill Speedwagon, but only said so to Kai. Not quite sure if I liked this finale or not. It wasn't bad, but it seemed that there just was something missing. However, this season was definitely the strongest one of the series. It's quite rare for a show that's on it's seventh season already.
  5. I love how they hide Frances at first, like we didn't recognise her voice immediately. Where did the plot point of cops looking for the ice cream truck suddenly appear? If I recall correctly, it has only been used when Ally's neighbors were killed and even then, the murders were deemed as murder-suicide. I don't know the complete timeline, but it sure does feel like a long, long time ago. Why is there now a sudden urge to get rid of it? So next episode is the last one? For once I could've watched more of this show.
  6. They got back on track with this episode after two extremely disappointing ones. Okay, so I understand why they put Evan play all these cult leaders. But why was he also Andy Warhol? It's not a big deal, just wondering. I knew immediately that Ivy is dead, when they sat down to dinner. And I'm glad I was right. But at the same time, Ally was being such a coldhearted psychopath in the scene, that there's really no one to root for anymore. I hope they all die.
  7. Okay, I binged this and can't remember what happened in what episode, so I'm just gonna talk here. This season, while not bad, left me with very mixed feelings. There was something missing, that made the first one so great. The first few episodes were just a setup, which is way too long for a season this short. El was completely sidelined from the story. Sure, we got to see her past and know her better, but all that could've done in a smaller amount of time. The episode with her sister was the worst one, I didn't care about the rebels. It took way too long to reunite Mike and El. Nancy's storyline was just a big fan service, since #justiceforbarb exploded last year. And the result was just cliched "let's take the big bad down together and fall in love in the process". Max's stepbrother was ultimately pointless. I missed Winona's crazy intense performance. Now that I've put down my negatives, I just might add things I liked. Like previously, the acting was impressive and the boys (+ Max) worked together perfectly. The story wasn't as gripping as the first one, but it felt like a natural followup. I really enjoyed the almost father and daughter like bonding between El and Jim. I totally agree with Nancy, Dustin is definitely my favorite of the friends. My god, my heart broke when he didn't get a dance partner. By the way, this season gives a good possibility for a drinking game. Every time Nancy turns her head and gives a dramatic look, take a drink. You might die from a alcohol poisoning before the season is done. It was slightly disappointing, kinda average season. I would give it 3/5 at best. But I will be watching the third season next year.
  8. It was either to throw audience off or they just weren't sure at the time who's part of the cult and who's not.
  9. I've only seen the first season all the way through, but yeah, I remember hating the finale.
  10. The last couple of minutes and the threesome scene ("THIS IS THE HOLY RITUAL!" - "You made it up this afternoon") saved it a bit, but I didn't like this episode. Sure it was better than last week, by a mile, but still... I was surprised that Vincent wasn't actually part of the cult. However, Ally joining was obvious as soon as they showed Beverly being under the hood. I still find Cult to be the best season, since the story is somewhat interesting. But I'm starting to lose confidence that it won't be ending in a satisfying way.
  11. Sure, I do get where they're going with this. But I still think it was just too fast development, too easy. Of course the episodes are limited and things have to get set in motion, but I just didn't feel the execution worked this time.
  12. Everything I felt about this terrible episode has already been said. That scene with Ivy killing Harrison was really, really forced. She has had troubles in actually killing people, but now after listening Frances Conroy's flashbacks, she's all in?
  13. I'm not quite sure anymore, but I remember Kai talking about Ally's part of the shooting when he had sex with Meadow. Something like "Nobody will believe a crazy woman" or something something. No?
  14. I have the same problem with those characters. I do know Ally, Ivy, Ozzy, Winter, Kai, Harrison, Beverly and Meadow. But the rest are a blur. And when they revealed that Bev's cameraman was also in the cult, I didn't even recognize his face.
  15. Did they though? If I recall correctly, Ivy and Winter met and kidnapped the guy in the same day. Then they left the basement and Kai came there next morning.
  16. "Wait... You believe me?" I don't know why, but that made me laugh so hard. But what was going on when Harrison was being dragged by cops from his house? He was all bloody and shouted how Meadow is dead. Was it just a plot point that they later altered and forgot to remove the scene? Okay, so now Ally's tormenting pays off, since they set her up as the shooter. But that couldn't be the idea from the very beginning, so why did they agree to mess with her at the first place? Just because Ivy wants Ozzy?
  17. Yeah, Morning was playing herself. Also, I was wondering how much of the show's version of Episodes is going to be "real". Is the narcissistic douchebag running the network going to be called Merc? Is the show they're hired to make going to be called Pucks? I mean, I don't see how Merc would let them use his name in such a way.
  18. My only real problem was that for some reason Morning was still with Merc. Like huh? That scene couple of episodes back was powerful but now it meant practically nothing. Other than that, good episode and nice, yet somewhat predictable, ending. The season itself wasn't the strongest one, there were way too much filler and nonsense. But I'm gonna miss it.
  19. That's a lot of answers for one episode. We got to know who and why are these clowns. And the cult member who they killed was Beverly's cameraman (I didn't realize, but I heard it on recap). But I have no idea why they're torturing especially Ally. That nailgun scene was extremely well made. Hard to watch, but still couldn't turn away. So the clowns who were having sex at the premiere in the grocery store were Harrison and the cop. I'm afraid Kai will be a goner sooner than later. Beverly seems to be the most dangerous one.
  20. Well, for me Frances Conroy is ultimately Barney's mom from HIMYM. She was also in The Mist this summer. I got to know Alexandra Breckenridge from Dirt, which was an awesome show. And that was also the thing I first saw Evan Peters in. And I immediately knew that he will be something great someday.
  21. Fun episode once again. I was getting really nervous at the end, though. First Sean and Matt had a moment, then Sean and Bev talked about how they didn't remember getting home and then Matt disappeared. I was ready to hear some bad news, but once Sean said "he might be dead", I knew Matt was safe. The storyline did however feel kinda forced, they're just filling time with these vests and Matt's mood swings. It's entertaining, sure, but we have only four episodes left. It was weird seeing Bev relaxed and sincerely laughing in the restaurant scene. EDIT: Wait, what? Next week is the finale? Fuck. I was waiting for ten episodes.
  22. There was almost two year break between seasons 2 and 3 also.
  23. This begs the question, was the grocery store scene in the premiere actually happening? Two clowns were having sex and as we now know, Meadow isn't very active sexually.
