It's just like that time they totes most definitely killed off the titular character in the mid season finale or when the island blowing up mattered at all or the reporter storyline having a really cool payoff or characters dying still having meaning... Here's the problem, even if one of them doesn't come back would anyone care?

So when Oliver can no longer take on bad guys he's never had problems with before then dumb people can blame his marriage to Felicity for weakening him. Oh joy. Like Rene and Curtis add anything to the team.

The Starling City Times: News and Media about Arrow
leopardprint replied to Grammaeryn's topic in Arrow
So I never commented on this about the crossovers but I thought it was a glaring omission that Felicity didn't refer to Oliver, you know, LYING the entire time they were engaged as one of the reasons she was adverse to it. It's very curious that Felicity hasn't expressed an opinion about Oliver lying to his son but I think they just want us bury the BMD with Samantha. -
? Well at least Frank can't unexpectedly fall in love with the blond hacker who helps him because he's already happily married.
-
Even I agree with Oliver and I think he exists in a permanent state of wrongness. Arrow is obsessed with the concept of family above all (especially male family) so I think it's basically Oliver is putting his family first and Rene is also putting his family first? Even though doing terrible things to non-family members for family members is not really right in my view (Merlyn).

I would like Thea and Roy to get their happy ending as well but I think writing Thea off the show would be a loss. Oliver's scenes with Thea add something that is lacking in his scenes with other characters. If she leaves, he's down to Diggle and Felicity. It's too bad they won't bother to create a storyline for her.

Well according to Legal and Justice Scholar Oliver Queen having a lawyer makes you look guilty.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh, ?. -
That's what I'm wondering because he had his daughter with him at the end but then like how could the others trust him? I'm assuming he is going through with it but this plot was so poorly constructed I am not sure if that it the correct assumption. "I'm so offended you didn't trust me not to do the thing I am going to do that I am going to quit and still do that thing." doesn't really hold the moral high ground.

Slow-mo, soft-focus entrance aside, I really feel like they were too restrained with the cheese. The cheese should have been turned up to 11. All the cheese in France. I'm talking: montage of Olicity's greatest hits set to Billy Joel red pen wedding favors Oliver telling Felicity about seeing her in the QC office Fern centerpieces/bouquet Souffle dessert table They really dropped the (cheese) ball here.

Yeah, they already knew one of the team was the mole so they had probable cause? I do think Oliver brushing aside Diggle's suggestion to confront them directly is supposed to show how "omg extreme betrayal" that was but it still wasn't setup well at all.
-
I don't think they setup the distrust issues very well so when NoTA peaced out, it seemed like an extreme response. I think they should have shown Agent Watson trying to get one of the three to turn and then have them put up a strong defense of Oliver and then it's a surprise which one turned so we get more of a sense of betrayal on their end. Sometimes these "shocking twists" are so devoid of setup they just end up distracting instead of pushing the story forward. Right now, Rene is legitimately compromised (arguably for good reasons), Dinah is secretly meeting with someone who tried to assassinate Oliver at least twice, and Curtis has violated Felicity's privacy many times. Are we to assume Rene is following through on his FBI deal since he had Zoe with him at the end? Plots that exist because the characters simply don't communicate are not good ones.

OMG! This was the big mystery of the episode for me. Apparently it's a blazer/moto jacket combo. I think it was bizarre that Felicity's estranged, fugitive father appeared with no explanation other than Donna invited him, I guess. I agree there wasn't much Olicity in this episode if you compare it to 603 or 604.

Didn't he keep her secret though? He didn't tell anyone about Vincent? I mean I like your version better.

First Diggle has to marry the idiot that erased his daughter, kidnapped him and made him vomit, now Rene steals his rightful Best Man speech. #JusticeforDiggle2017

I'm not sure if I'm missing something but that tweet seems to be a seriously out of proportion response. -
Interesting, you think one of the B-team isn't coming back? (please oh please) I think a couple episode very mini background arc of Curtis making gadgets and suit improvements could be interesting sort of like a Q or a Walter from Nikita.

Going back to how the show doesn't know what to do with Curtis, the spoiler about Diggle getting a new suit from Cisco, why can't Curtis do that?
