Did they ever explain why the cameraman in the 1st episode was a mannequin? Was he imagining it?
-
It was pretty good - more old school, as some have said. However, Channel Zero had a creepier kid's show.

Keegan, not Keenan. Unless you were joking. -

Vanessa was not necessary. That character was good once, just like the majority of Armisen's that we were punished with. SKB seemed genuinely eager, which always makes it fun. -
S43.E14: Charles Barkley / Migos
Tachi Rocinante replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Saturday Night Live
Barkley was not turrible. Kyle Mooney is not funny. Hillary Knight couldn't stop smiling - she seemed like he was genuinely enjoying herself. Migos is studio-created dreck. Kate's impression of Sessions is creepy because it''s awful. By far her worst. -
Logan is an insufferable douche and his redemption arc in the movie was a complete disservice to the character of Veronica. Period. I don't care if the Marshmallows think he's dreamy and only Veronica can fix him. Because twuu luurve. When I gave to the kickstarter I wanted a complex, intelligent story that made the show a pleasure to watch, and most of it was, except for the relationship angle. For that I got bullshit middle-school fanwanking.

I got it - the "daughter" escaped from The Grid after getting on Clu's bad side. Bladed discs are not allowed, and are cause for immediate de-resolution. -

Is Peyton List always this wooden? Who did the other actress piss off? I like Morena Baccarin, but her speech felt flat and uninspired. Bruce is still a dick. I hope Selena's bit in the commercial was supposed to be bad. Nygma is Mr. Robot now? -
It wasn't too bad as social commentary but it did get a bit ridiculous. This ep was co-written by actress and X-Files alum Kristen Cloke.

On Patrol: Live - General Discussion
Tachi Rocinante replied to Meredith Quill's topic in On Patrol: Live
Disagree. He wasnt innocent. The guy was caught breaking into cars and was fighting the cops. Did they need 6 guys? Probably not. That was excessive. But don't minimize the fact that the guy was resisting and being a complete dumbass. If he complied he wouldn't have been tased. -
Briefcase Guy made a comment about "The Cartel" so I'm assuming that it was drug-related, either money or documents.

Loved it when Artem pulled the dollar from behind the kid's ear and he promptly unfolded it and gave it to Nicole. Also, did they ever disclose the what and the where for the smell? My DVR cut off.

I still think that "Yes, and" defeats the purpose of true improvisation. Without trying to torpedo the scene, I could say, "Naah, I don't feel like fishing today. How about we go bowling?" That would still allow you an opportunity to respond, and the scene could continue, albeit in a different direction than you were probably anticipating. You would have to improvise. Not allowing the "no" restricts the ability of the scene to expand beyond a certain comfort zone. I'm not trying to be difficult, it just seems counterintuitive to me. How much background or setup information are you typically given before you start a scene?
-
Can someone explain this dumbass "only rule of improv" to me? I thought the whole point of improv was to, you know, improvise. Why would saying "no" and radically switching gears in a scene be such a major catastrophe? Isn't the spirit of improv to be able to think on your feet??

S43.E12: Will Ferrell / Chris Stapleton

Maybe it's because she can't enunciate for shit. Even when she's playing a normal character it sounds like she's struggling through a Kermit the Frog impression. -

I thought the three guys were supposed to be rough impressions of the Lone Gunmen. Also, who was the goofy agent that had his badge picture in the scanned files? There was no name on it.
-
Finished it. It did pick up, but it seemed more like a setup for a finale, not a story that has two books left. Oops, I forgot Fred was already dead.

100 pages into Persepolis and I am completely underwhelmed. If it improves I will post an update.

I don't like it because the impersonation in both look and sound sucks. He doesn't look like a rat, and his speech isn't marble-mouthed. It's pathetic. -
Me, Myself & I - General Discussion
Tachi Rocinante replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Me, Myself & I
Telescopes are fine for viewing meteor showers. Most come from a central point of reference - for example, the Orionids all begin a bit to the west of Orion's belt and fan out. They don't streak all the way across the sky like a plane does. I was more concerned with the signed Jordan rookie card from a few episodes ago. Most signatures on rookie cards (ones that aren't produced with the autograph) diminish the value greatly.
