I missed the last epi cuz my DVR is secretly a Russian spy and wants to make me miserable... So I thought maybe MirrorMilah broke it off with Cisco... Cuz he was being very extra with Sue.. Who thank Beebo finally cooled off a bit in the bank scene with Ralph.. Cuz she was still "On" inside the server room... The show really had me scared for a second... I read somewhere that this epi would change some stuff so I don't thought we were gonna lose Cecile... Who may not always rate high with some.. But who I've always really liked... Once she switched places with Joe and I saw how much time was left in the epi.. I was pretty confident he'd make it thru... Again Siri gets to spit some blue flame truth fire at Barry about his decision making process and its consequences... Unfortunately she dropped the parents line and kicked him out and he knew... That ain't my woman.. No matter how mad she was.. Even if he deserved it.. She'd never ever say that... But both Sue and Eva seem kinda silly I mean they both seem really unwilling to allow ppl( capable, trustworthy ppl) to help.. I mean eva knows all about team flash.. And she doesn't seem like a supervillian... So why not just let them help... Same for Sue

Devils Advocate here... Wouldn't full throated consent also come off as weird or innapropriate... I mean if ppl are up in arms because Alex ( tho he's at least in some kind of way messed around with a woman before) presents as no holds barred gay, but then jumps into this potential emotional minefield all gung ho... Isnt his more cautious acceptance a more natural way to play it... As I have closed captions on all the time except for sports and news I read him saying he didn't want to go.. So it landed with me that at least a part of him ( could be some internalized homophobia) wanted to do this.. As I don't recall all of season one.. Has Alex been with other guys? I know mike is the 1st love.. But besides that... Anything... Also I'm guessing Isobel been with girls before and I just don't remember ... Cuz her deciding to smush the bartender hasn't seemed to register anywhere I see discussion of the episode

Yeah I hit up TVline a few mins after I was done with the epi.. And already the comments were not kind to Maria or Heather... But that's to be expected unfortunately... I get wanting to know where Mike really stands.. And if Alex really says he's all good no matter where it lands.. Then ok... But the reaction was basically she's a devious one and had no care for her poor and apparently devoid of agency friend... Blegh... I'll prob no. More after I see how it plays out in an episode or more likely two as they tend to jump around with plot points..

I didn't get the impression that they were conveying some message... If they were I didn't get it... I saw 3 ppl who are all entagled in each others lives have a moment.. Or give in to a moment.. And then it was over.. And they'll all have to deal with what may come... If anything.. But outta that night.. Seems Alex is ready to try something else.. And Mike/Maria are ready to try each other.. I said upthread Isobel has good scenes with everyone... She just works well with the whole cast... And it was kinda nice to see kyle let loose for a minute of course once again he's already hung up on someone else... I hope we get Diego and I disagree I hope this was all Liz.. Do we know that? From her talk with him earlier he seems to have been with women before in some fashion... And if it's a bit more fluid than set in stone.. Then the moments after ur almost killed and in the presence of ppl you care for... Stuff can happen can it not... It seems after it was all done he's decided to move on to the blue hair guy so... Gotta say I enjoyed that.. David Anders played Travis( and I guess his twin) very well... He was so creepy about the milk.. Kinda felt that in the car when I saw that Alex and Maria had kissed albeit in middle school i did wonder about them just going the siren route and throupling up... Still would've traded all this for actual traction on what's going on with her mom and past... And I'd like to see some cross interactions... I liked Kyle and Isobel... Tho I think I like everyone with Isobel...

Well that Dolores only knows up to the park massacre and Dolores fleeing... So she's responding with that info.. I dunno if she knows that Maeve is kinda being forced into this... Also she's just there to prepare maeve for all the ways that cult leader/ Abusive spouse Dolores will come at her

I get it... Most of my dissapointment is with the showrunners and writers for not knowing how this might land... Or even worse knowing it may land.. ( with folks like me) as another case of the blk character having to shoulder more and deal with more without it being addressed... One of the many problems that tv has saddled us watchers with for years and expected us to just deal because at least we were being represented

I don't want or mean to try and put the two of these ladies against each other... My whole point is.. They aren't on equal footing... Their offenses are not equal.. One party has done more harm.. One party has been more selfish.. One party has been the aggressor.. That's what's been on the screen.. But I walked away from this episode and in totality I feel the showrunners want me to " see both sides" and that's a problem.. Both in universe.. Because again Raelle has been much worse and has yet to be really called on it... And IRL... because we have an aggrieved blk character expected to put up with the shenanigans of a white one... I'm cautiously pessimistic that the show will address this imbalance... By having Abigail act out after the death of her cousin and it be Raelle who gets to save her... But well see and as @ursula upthread said... Can't let the fact that Raelle is in a F/F relationship plaster over her flaws so far... I'm an easy tv watcher as long as ppl get called out for their nonsense I'm willing to let it go and continue the story...

They do tend to debut new powers anime style.. Big moments of emotion... That said... That power was cool.. Wouldn't also mind an episode of just them working on new powers and perfecting them.. Maybe newer less cgi-dependent powers will be cheaper to produce

I'm fuming with the sidelining of Maria.. But I am willing to wait until the end of this next epi... Because after she found out she wasnt in the next epi... The one after that teased her starting to ask questions with " the only" person she could talk to... But it was mainly about reviving Max... So with that huge piece of business outta the way... The next big thing is Maria getting some answers.. Now I believe that the alien folks should be front and center for this... But Looks like Isobel and Max ( so also Liz) got some resurrection stuff to deal with... I think they'll write that she's still too raw to deal with Michael... So that leaves Alex as her guy to dig into the mystery.. And whatever tidbits are found should be shared with all 3 of the pod kids.. Not just Mike...

Well they gave Maggie the throwaway line that Marisol made harry forget as well... Tho we have no real way to verify that... Either way he's like 70 years older than her ( kinda weird when he reverted that being held by 3 women... 2 blackish and 1 latina no less that he didn't seem to have much of a response) and probably has known her since she was even younger.. Its just icky and her handwaving it... I just rather they pair the sisters up with other ppl and leave the whitelighter alone... Tho maybe it wouldn't have been as huge an issue if said whitelighter wasn't also another white dude... So Macy is actually ping-ponging tween Julian and him... I think it's close but the space was gated off.. Like a spot for development.. I mean real world somebody is stumbling on it for sure

Except everything Raelle has done has negative effects on her squad, her conscious decisions.. Its not like she doesnt know her slacking off to see Scylla. Or her just running up to fight with Abigail don't hurt the entire squad.. She just doesn't seem to care... Compare that to Abigail.. What has her drive.. Her desire to not just coast by on all her privileges cost the Unit?... These two aren't on the same level at the moment.. Its not even close.. So for right now.. At least as a viewer it is an either or... And I'm over here with Abigail.. Raelle has been the source of the conflict ( regardless of her reasons) she's been the instigator... And more times than not Abigail has had to shoulder the consequences either as part of the unit... Or all on her own.. And y'all wanna say its on everybody... Not to be incendiary but that's some all lives matter, wash my hands of the whole situation type mess right there

Exactly.. Its the MCI... I feel like the show expects the majority of viewers to see her and Abigail as like equal sides of the same coin but they haven't shown us that... Abigail coulda been the " blonde kid with the rich dad"/from every 80s movie.. But she's stood up for Raelle even praised her... Mainly she's called her on her shit and I guess that's supposed to be how she's in the wrong.. I dunno and maybe to some that's how its playing.. I seen the posts upthread that seemed to fall on that side.. But for me I see a hard working legacy kid ( and I can relate because that's what I am) and a spoiled bratty who constantly puts her wants above others.. Whos actions actually caused Abigail pain ( when Anacostia did whatever that drill was that messed up her throat) still be shown in a positive light... Don't think I can stand for that much longer until she gets chewed out... Because shows are gonna go where they gonna go... But at least acknowledge when someone is outta pocket... You wanna make Raelle equal in standing... You wanna redeem scylla... Fine.. But before you do.. Let somebody lay into them all the nonsense they got away with before we wipe the slate clean...

Raelle doesn't even act like she wants to burn it all down, thenbmaybe her behavior while still shitty would be more understandable.. No she's just been selfish and from jump and even if she wanted to screw things up for Abigail based solely on the fact that she thinks Mama Bellweather is responsible for her moms death... She still has Tally there too... Every time she screws up it affects Tally as well... But still she screws up... And I don't actually see where Abigail deserved any of this.. As snobby rich kids go in teen shows go Abigail is mild... Most of all of her vitriol has been aimed at that other high society girl... The one time she really stepped outta line was when she asked to be in another Unit.. And Alder came down on her ass... Since then she's been trying... and for her troubles in mending fences she ain't tear down ( something black women in particular seem constantly asked to do) shes still stuck with an ungrateful girl who throws tantrums... I really hope next week somebody... Tally( who ima need to come off down that fence) or Anacostia to really lay into Raelle about how shitty she's been
