  1. I can't wait. Part of me wishes it was being released all at once so I could binge watch it. But then it would be over in a matter of hours.
  2. This. Exactly this. Same as that movie he made a few years ago. It's tough to see a character reduced from their powerful selves. But going out with style to help a young woman get to a new home would have worked great for Xavier. I mean PICARD!
  3. I have to admit that I didn't read through every post on this thread so I apologize if this is a repeat. Was anyone else hoping Picard stayed dead?
  4. You're the dickhead, Brett. (It's his accent that makes it even funnier. deekhead.)
  5. This episode made me like a lot of the characters, in some cases, again. Seven of Nine continues to be one of the biggest bad asses in all of Star Trek. Loved her on Voyager and am loving her here. When she plugged in and started regenerating the cube I was thinking it was a new Borg collective. Which would be great fodder for season 2. Thankfully she unplugged. When she said "We are Borg" I got chills. And then they blew the hatches and she felt everyone of their deaths. This was a pretty heavy episode for a lot of characters.
  6. Sadly it looks like you are right. Hopefully someone picks it up. https://tvline.com/2020/03/04/flack-cancelled-no-season-2-pop/ https://variety.com/2020/tv/news/florida-girls-season-2-pop-tv-scripted-strategy-1203524046/
  7. SECOND! I just want to yank it off. And its color changing capabilities are amazing.
  8. "What color do you call your hair, Murray?" "Electric copper." I freakin' love Rhys Darby. And the Conchords. Jermaine made an appearance, maybe Rhys will too! Some kind of werewolf convention? The guy who played the head werewolf in the show played Dave in Conchords. And we've had Mel (Kristen Schaal). We just need Brett to get all the major players from F.O.T.C.
  9. This is what I was thinking. Q was so obsessed with humans and wanting to have the human experience that it wouldn't surprise me if he aged himself. Or appeared that way.
  10. We're actually on the same page with this one. I think it sounds out of place. My examples were more of a... if you HAD to have cursing in Star Trek.
  11. Don't forget in Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey. Where they actually watch the episode of TOS before they get tossed off the rock to their deaths. Also, I'm with whoever said swearing seems wrong in Star Trek. If anything the F word would be replaced by new cursing that far in the future. Like how farging was such a bad word in the 1800's.
  12. Mine has them all. I have read through most of the newer, canon Star Wars ones too. The two that take place immediately after A New Hope are fantastic. There's a Darth Vader one and a Luke's crew one. They also had Y: The Last Man, and Saga. If you're a fan of Brian Vaughan. On a more Firefly related topic I did not like the Shepherd Book one at all. I liked how they told the story but I was not a fan of the story itself. Not even a little. They should have gone with my idea. But Joss Whedon didn't check with me first. It was his story concept, written by his brother.
  13. I read the first one, Those Left Behind. But I noticed that I can get them all through my local public library, so I'm going to read through them all. Especially the Book one. Curious to see how that one is.
  14. All I remember about that movie is Mr Fischoeder and Salma Hayek's butt.
  15. Also without being sucked into space minus a helmet. But it's television and if you didn't see her dead body, then....
  16. This makes sense. It was pretty obvious that Citizenship should have been earlier in the season, based on the Jenna arc.
  17. Maureen saw the metal helmet float by. Which could mean Smith removed the metal helmet, that was holding her down because of magnets, and escaped just before the robots turned off the magnet and got free. That's what I'm assuming happened. Even though I thought it was a great idea to kill her off somewhat heroically.
  18. I have been saying that all season! We finally get her on the same level with the book where every other word is an F bomb. She really using cursing as a disarming tool in the books.
  19. That's how I remembered it. I was getting worried that they are trying to humanize Amos too much in the show. But that's one thing I love about him, nothing makes him budge. Even when we get into the 5th book and the rocks start dropping and visits Baltimore and all hell breaks loose. Amos is the constant. But, as an edit, I will say that my worries quickly evaporated when Amos capped his girlfriend. I just didn't like seeing him freak out and punch the air. It felt out of character, even for the show.
  20. I haven't read book 4 in a while but does Amos lose it like that in the books? I don't remember that. They made up for it in the show when he capped the girlfriend but seeing scared Amos just didn't sit right with me. He (Wes Chatham) was great, but I thought Amos was always the steady hand. Even with the eyesight eating virus. Has anyone read the books more recently? Or remember if that's how it happened in the book? And while I can't say it's better than the books, the show's pacing for this season was well done. A little rushed, maybe. But overall good. I thought bringing Marco in this early would bug me but it didn't. I wouldn't have revealed the rock dropping plan as a cliff hanger though. Maybe just a tease. But book 4's slow pace did get to me after a while. That book took the longest for me to finish.
  21. Remember that time Laszlo turned a baby into a vampire? Who does that???
  22. I think she went into a rage because she wants Joy back. Like Misery she wasn't getting what she wanted and went bonko. My question is this. Will this season end to set up the movie Misery? I'm guessing Joy dies and Annie never leaves the area.
