  1. Loved both teams. I was curious if the Minotaur team had to travel back in forth during the months of competition, or if they stayed in the States the whole time.
  2. All I saw was two arms raised straight up.
  3. I really wanted to see the mini-fire truck bot come out again. Makes me sad it didn’t.
  4. And it’s been far to long since some bots have competed. HUGE,for example, last competed in Week 9. I think Week 14 just aired.
  5. Based on Red Devil, I want a bot that can split into two equal bots.
  6. Yes! I love HUGE. I just am not picturing a way to disable it. Based of what I observed tonight, I don’t think that pushing it over the screws will be the answer. I don’t think I’ve ever liked Chomp’s design. And this year it seems like they only improved technology that is of no help. I hope to see HUGE vs Tombstone sooner than later. I think it will be an interesting fight.
  7. Oh yeah! That’s why I like Huge. I doubt it’ll win the whole thing, but there probably won’t be plans to specifically beat it, either. I really hate the costumey teams and the bots that waste their weight limit on decorations. That’s why I love cheering against Witch Doctor so much. My loud jeering scares the dogs I loved seeing the burger get demolished... Especially the little burger. I was surprised, however, that no one mentioned the little rake that the small burger had. I assumed it was because of Hypershock’s prior take success. Final point, I do love seeing drones get destroyed.
  8. To be honest, my money is always on Tombstone.
  9. I had several unused Audible dot com credits built up, so I decided to use one on Fatrah’s “Teenage Dream Ended” book. It was read by Farrah and she did a good job of reading it. (Better than she talked on the show.) I doubt she wrote it by herself. I think she probable recorded all of her stories and a writer then cleaned it up. If you played a drinking game with the word “drama,” you’d definitely become intoxicated. Farrah talks a lot about Dead Daddy Derek a lot. I enjoyed hearing background on him. She even mentioned her friend Zabrina from the 16 & Pregnant episode. All told, the book is worth reading or hearing if you don’t actually dig out you wallet. It’s not the worse narcissistic tome I’ve experienced (that honor goes to a former coworker’s books on how to be a business woman). I gave Farrah 3 out of 5 stars.
  10. I enjoy watching Huge. It’s so different from the others. Seeing that the flame didn’t stop it, I’m not sure what can disable it. I don’t think it can win the whole thing, but I’m betting it will lose in a judges’ decision. I also enjoy seeing SawBlaze at work. I’d like to see it against Tombstone. It potentially could do some nifty damage.
  11. I would watch a spin off show with the purple haired grandmother just talking about her daily life. She was more entertaining than 99% of the current TV fare.
  12. Oh yeah! She was a champion shirker. I liked how the other woman reacted to her behavior and called her on it.
  13. I’m with you. So much to dislike about her. Her biggest problem for herself is that she does not know her behavior is not normal. I worked in HR for 20+ years. Of all the people in all of the TM shows, Amber is the one I’d be least likely to hire. I’ve always said that the primary thing that HR cares about is that the potential hire will cause them less problems than someone else. I can’t work up a good scenario for Amber.
  14. Newish. Just haven’t been posting a lot. But I’ve gotten drawn back into the TM franchise to the point I’ve been watching the old stuff on Amazon. No doubt I’ll be snarking here occasionally. Thanks!
  15. I’m amused that I see ads for equine nutrition in the Cate thread.
  16. I’m not sure if there is a better place to get this answer. What does UBT stand for?
  17. My mother had be read “In Cold Blood” when I was 12. I reread it at 27 and my mother admitted she’d had me read it when I was too young. Upon rereading it, I realized I’d overlooked a lot. Around that age, my mom also had me watch the British series “The Prisoner.” My mother had odd child rearing ideas.
  18. I was living in Columbia, MO at the time of the Heithold murder. To put it mildly, the whole thing changed my perception of how “justice” is handled. The day after the murder, the police visited all of the bars in that general area. One bar was owned by a coworker’s boyfriend, SN. Apparently the detective had a theory that the murderer was a member of the Mizzou Tiger football team. Heitholt had been critical of his abilities. I always thought the artist’s rendering of the suspect looked more like this player than it did Ryan Ferguson. I’ve never heard this theory anywhere else.
  19. Anyone know what sort of field sobriety tests are given to someone who is unable to walk and uses a wheelchair?
  20. As I was half watching it, I forgot I wasn't watching a movie. Then I remembered an was practically on the edge of my seat. Then the commercial break interrupted. Amazing than no one got injured in a crash. As as far as the bitch thing, sometimes a woman get in situations where she may be called a bitch. I imagine a cop gets in a lot of those situations.
  21. Several years after the suicide death of one of my loved ones, I finally feel like I've left the Anger stage and moved into Acceptance. The reality of suicide doesn't end with the death of someone.
  22. I noticed today that the O.C. is available for streaming on Hulu now. I guess it's been there since April. From what I've seen, the original music seems to be there.
  23. I attended Missouri University (Mizzou) from the mid to the late 80's. The Greek System was a big thing. And I'm fairly certain that each of the student body govenment presidents were all members of fraternities and sororities. It always struck me as weird that at CU, the two were considered in conflict. I don't see the link for Visual Aids on this. Am I overlooking it?
  24. My understanding is that it was because Dewaun refused to give consent or rescinded his consent.
  25. Finally the long lost episode that I saw more than two years ago. Stephanie told me that although MTV had called to ask her follow up questions, she didn't know that MTV would be airing the entire episode until she saw it advertised. "David" texted her more than once to try to get her to kill it off. http://hihonoworries.blogspot.com/2013/02/the-catfish-episode-that-got-away.html http://hihonoworries.blogspot.com/2013/09/interview-with-unaired-catfish-victim.html
