  1. And on the other hand, I never was impressed with Krakken. But they seem to be doing something right this year. My favorite this year is MadCatter. I enjoy team leader Martin Mason’s schtick.
  2. I see this net as bad sportsmanship like the cattle guard. But it’s definitely a lot more entertaining and funny to me.
  3. I hope that this causes Huge to be innovative in finding a defense for a “bike rack.” What irritated me about Hydra Ewert is him telling the ref that he wasn’t holding Huge in the corner. I don’t recall the exact wording. But I didn’t like the spirit behind them. mid there are more matches like this one, I’ll stop watching. I want destruction.
  4. No comments yet about this week’s episode? I want to discuss the Hydra vs Huge bout!
  5. I signed up for a free trial for Discovery+. I’m enjoying the BattleBots Bounty Hunter show. I’ll probably keep the channel once the trial ends because it has many of the HGTV & Food shows that I enjoyed snarking about back in he old TWoP days.
  6. I often imagine Huge as a test subject in my mind. I can’t imagine Huge winning the Giant Nut, but its matches are interesting to me.
  7. Yeah. In order for Rotator to win, it should have done something other than be pushed around.
  8. I can’t stand whiny poor losers. In previous years, they always build up Hypershock and that bot always falls short. The Hypershock team is another example of a team that spends too much of the costuming for my taste. The flame weapon on Gruff was the most successful of any flame weapon I’ve seen. I was wishing for poor sportsmanship & that Gruff wouldn’t have backed off of melting Hypershock. I liked Copperhead.
  9. I respect The Witch Doctor team. They have a great bot and know how to drive and use it. But due to the costuming, I love to hate them. I always “boo” them but if they win, I can accept that. I’ve loved Huge since I first saw them compete. I love a *different* bot. Duck was one of my favorites last year. Looking at the website, it doesn’t look like they are on the roster this year. SMEEEEEEEE...EEE intrigued me and I look forward to more matches. I can like Rusty’s human, but I don’t see that bot having long term success.
  10. Jake kind of resembles my nephew & we do share the same last name, so I wanted to like him. But I can’t. He seems like he has always gotten people to give him stuff based on his charmed and good looks. He’s a budding “confidence man.” Maybe this show was delayed in airing because someone thought it wasn’t in Jake’s best interest to be called on his game. But ultimately the draw of being on national TV had more pull.
  11. I would like to hear some of the “lesser folks” in Walton’s World bitch about the favored status the Walton clan is given. I was thinking about this because of the sheriff allowing the word of a Walton to be enough to keep someone out of jail.
  12. Tonight on whatever weird Hallmark channel offshoot, they are featuring weird Walton episodes “The Moonshine” - Jason tried to reform an elderly cousin who was almost sentenced to jail ”The Obsession” - Mary Ellen gets hooked on pills ”The Changeling” - Elizabeth gets haunted ”The Portrait” - Erin becomes pals with a squatter who paints ”The Captive” - Olivia thinks Corabeth is a drunk
  13. You’re entire post explains my point of view better than I could have.
  14. I had a dreadful thought that the surprise guest will be Jesse Meester.
  15. I studied both Russian and Ukrainian. From what I understand, Russians pronounce Kiev with two syllables and Ukrainians pronounce it as one. Note: While the USSR existed, Ukrainian wasn’t really spoken.
  16. I have had this show on when I’ve been working night shift. I wanted to officially announce that at my age now (53), I think Ralph Waite’s John Walton is sexy. There is something about his eyes and smile that remind me of Gerard Butler.
  17. David said that there had been a video “chat” that costs more, but that it is only visual. You can’t actually talk with each other.
  18. I was fixated by the defendant’s tattoos once I noticed the red 81 on his hand. That number and script may have meant that he was a “supporter of his local Hells Angels.” I was trying to read the other tats, but could only read the word “Outlaw” in his left forearm. With all the odd details in the case, I was wondering if it was fake.
  19. Unfortunately, I think she’s more apt to turn out like a feral child whose been raised with so limited human social interactions that she will never have a normal life.
  20. The AKC Standard allows all colors of Siberian Huskies. I have seen many colors over the years, but have only seen a picture of an all black one once. From what I could observe on TV, the dog was a poor representative of the breed standard. For one thing, the coat looked wrong to me. I wondered if he had some Finnish Lapphund in him (only an instinctive guess). Here’s an old reference that I frequented back in my novice Sibe days: https://www.huskycolors.com/colors.html
  21. I’ll begin by bragging a bit: I’m very good at Photoshop (but I use my skills for good and not evil). Looking at Farrah’s “Fan” Page, it is appalling how crappy the photos have been manipulated. I can’t picture Farrah taking the time to do the work herself (granted it wouldn’t have been much time). Whatever she paid someone to do the job, it was too much. Check out the size and shape of her daughter’s head
  22. Seems like there’s not much interest in this show here. This week the duo got stung by bullet ants and bit by piranhas. Neither were very interesting. My mind wandered.
  23. I don’t think I’m a breed snob, but I think it’s stupid to pay a person for a mixed breed dog. But if someone wants to waste money, go ahead. But I am a “good breeder” snob. And I don’t think there are actual good breeders who have made a profit when all the costs are factored in.
