Ugh, I wanna see the Kasnian Supergirl versus Supergirl, not this stupid identity crisis. Gee, I wonder, who is Supergirl. Could it be that blond chick that looks like her, hangs out sometimes at the DEO and is Alex sister? Wow, what a doozie. At least Reign wore a mask and had a voice change. What's everyone's excuse for being stupid as a log? Also, yeah, I wonder, how knowing who is Supergirl will put in danger her friends and family more than they are already are? And, 99 percent of her friends and family can take care off themselves quite easily. The only one in danger could be the adoptive mom, but even then Kara could just light-speed to her rescue. I was waiting for Kara to punch the lights off the Amanda Waller's wannabee, but I guess Alex would do as well. So, why the mind wiping is so damn necessary? Also, also, it's actually funny, that Heiley thought that she could order Kara around just because she found out that she's Supergirl. I mean, yeah, she's lucky that Kara is such a goodie goodie two-shoes, if I was in her stead, probably would have thrown Heilley in to space (or in any other way indiscriminately offed her) and explained to anyone interested, that I was busy stopping those Moraes to know what happened to the colonel. And why Alex can't quit? Because after colonels and Presidents past interactions on vid comms etc.., I'd say that the enemy is not only colonel, but the Government as well. So, what she's going to accomplish even, if she does defeat Heilley. They will just send another Amanda Waller in her stead. And, with a wiped mind, how will Alex know what she is fighting for at the DEO? Protection of SG identity? Nah. Also, how can Alex be court-marshalled, if she is a civilian (I'm assuming, don't know the real law in USA, but I'm basing this on Daniel Jackson's character in StarGate SG-1)?

Yep, after this season ends, I'm gonna quit with this series. Might be interesting, but it is overcrowded by school dilemmas. P.S. Would have been funny if Landon and Hope got hit by a bus at the end. And what exactly did he see in Mystic Falls, other than vampires, warevolves, witches, witch-vampires and "Devil wannabe", who was just a really powerful man-witch. Everything revolved around witch-stuff, actually (vampires and warevolves basically are products of a powerful curses). I'm betting that these fairy-tale creatures are also a by-product of a witch/wizard gone insane.

So... is or is not Nia trans-sexual? Or do the normal biological processes fly out the window when talking about alien sex surgeries? Anyways, it's just a rhetorical question. Also, Mr. President douche, what happened to the "We do not negotiate with terrorists" policy, which was enacted during September 11? Maybe, while you're at it, ask CIA to disclose their secret agents' identity for reasons of transparency. Also, why DEO should be important for Supergirl to do her work? As far as I've understood, President thinks that he can order Supergirl around and force her not to save lives... or did I misunderstood it? Or is she now has free reign to save lives, since she's not in DEO now?

Ooh, right, forgot that one :D

Never before seen Ellis Island (sorry, Shelly Island), just now casually mentioned power dampening pylons... are they taking a page from Once Upon a Time creators or what? Next thing you know, they leave pivotal plot elements unanswered and/or left forgotten (hmm... kinda like Alex quest for Dad). Sigh. so empathy enhancer makes John wanna cry. Oh, boy, give me a break. If it's not one of the main actors in the show crying per season, it's the other. I'm waiting till they make Brainy cry now. Also, empathy enhancer. Yes, they are pulling stuff from their asses. Deus ex machina in a pocket. Hooray. James, you are a useless tool, too bad this is not that kinda show and you are one of the main cast, but in any other show you'd be dead by now. P.S. Basically, now, Manchester is Punisher (what is DC equivalent for Punisher?). Let him do punisher's things. Let him kill the bad guys. Who cares.

No, but seriously, if the show wont start explaining soon how come there are fairy-tale monsters afoot (mind you, none of them ever featured in VD and TO, and wouldn't the First Borns know about their existence?) - and it looks to me that they are going Universal Studio route (because that monster in the end looked to me like Swamp Thing) - I'm going to quit. Because, while this show has action scenes and whatnot, it's a nonsensical Veronica Mars show with supernatural elements. I'm not complaining, just feeling that the tone of this show isn't really for those who watched VD and/or TO.

Of course it's simple. Kara does that all the time in the show, lol. Hope speeches! They can change even Hitler, Stalin or Mao!

A much much better episode than the last one. I always like these festive-themed episodes (just feeling sorry that it wasn't more festive, but, oh well), because they are not desperately trying to make you swallow your healthy dose of primary school world-view politics as much. So, Lena is trying to cure cancer with Harun-El, but accidentally discovered that it makes a person invulnerable? Hmm, could this be origins of Power Girl in this show? P.S. I really don't care how tough colonel Halley thinks she is, you just don't boss around a god like being unless you have kryptonite in your pocket. In Kara's shoes I would have tapped her 'friendly' over the shoulder, and walked away.

I liked this Gargoyle centric episode better than the last one at least. Also liked that there was very little teenage drama. Would be funny, if in the end of this episode, Damon is the one killing people (sure, he's dead and all (probably), but since when did that stop him) xD

Anyone know when will the second story arc be? After winter brake? 'Cause I really don't like this aliens migration and the view of one country's nationals towards them parallel to our real world migrants, because if I wanted to see this, I'd tune in the local news.

Well, Superman is in Argo, so case closed. An the remaining army of Non and Astra... who are they again? (Nah, but seriously, S1 ended. Case closed).

OK, I'm just going to say what's been on my mind ever since Season Two (when the show went to the CW). TOO MUCH FREAKING ALIENS. JEEZUS, IT FEELS LIKE A FREAKING ANGEL TV SERIES WHEN IN EVERY CORNER THERE BE A DEMON, VAMPIRE OR A WAREWOLF WANTING TO DO SOME POOR SNOB IN, BUT IF IT WAS PLAUSIBLE IN ANGEL, IN HERE IT IS NOT, BECAUSE SEASON ONE DID NOT EVEN ESTABLISH THAT THERE ARE A GAZILLION OF ALIENS RUNNING AROUND ON EARTH, JUST KARA, KAL-EL, JONN, AND THE BLOKES THAT ESCAPED FROM FORT ROZZ. ALSO, THE MAJORITY OF ALIENS LOOK LIKE THEY BELONG IN A LOTR CONVENTION, AND THE REST LOOK RIDICULOUS. Ok, venting time is over.

S01.E02: Some People Just Want to Watch the World Burn
Rushmoras replied to ElectricBoogaloo's topic in Legacies
OK, so that was a mildly interesting episode that went nowhere in general. So, dragons are real, and demons now also. Or, somebody has found a fairytale book and is now reanimating mythical creatures in to the world. All in all, yeah, I think I'm going to quit after the first season, because if all of the episodes will be like this.... -
Why wasn't Fiona dead, if she got stabbed in the back in the first episode? What was the point of that scene, then?
-
While I liked VD and found TO to be what VD could have been (i.e., I'd rate VD 6,5 and TO 7,5), my first impressions of Legacies is somewhat mixed. At first glance it feels like any school drama out there (mainly because the whole action of the premise is going on in a school, granted, a school for supernaturally gifted persons, but a school nonetheless, and, because of that, you get your dose of teenage drama (mainly, love triangles and jealousy)), but it also has supernatural aspects that belong mainly in VD show (yes, VD, because TO was much darker in tone, save for probably the final season, in which, if I am being honest to myself, the main cast acted not like usual monster-inclined self). So, I guess, at first glance, it's something along the lines of Veronica Mars meets Vampire Diaries (would be the most accurate description). So, I guess that it wont be my cup of tea, but I will know that after this season is over. Who knows, maybe it will pleasantly surprise me. P.S. What happened to Coraline? Towards the end of the episode, Alaric mentioned that no one has bothered this school in ten years time (well, if ten years has passed, why doesn't Hope look any older, while Alaric's kids, which we've seen in the last season of TO, were still... you know... kids, and now, they look much older (I'd say in the final years of high-school), but Alaric looks the same, Elena's friend (forgot his name) also not that old, if you compare the time when VD ended). So, what happened to Coraline? I'm pretty certain that she did not die in TO (unless, I snoozed out somewhere).

Would have found Sam Witwer character's plight to be believable, if not for: 1) too much bad things happened to him, as if he is a magnet for alien terrorists; 2) his father was a stubborn fool - should have done as Lena told, invested in newer equipment and probably saved whole lot of jobs in the long run; 3) what were the chances of him meeting all of they key-cast of Supergirl and the key-cast being kind of douches towards him? All in all, somewhat weak episode. P.S. How will everyone explain Kara's absence to Lena now? I mean, or will Kara walk in that armour designed by Lena and Lena will, um, pretend that is totally normal.

I thought it's allegory for every "minorities" (I put minorities in brackets, because in this day and age, at some places it's really debatable), starting from LGBT and ending with terrorists (OK, terrorists are not rally falling into this definition, but you get the picture).

A bit of hypocrisy from the DEO agents' side. Did any one of them demand that John Jones (can't really write his real name) be locked up in their holding cells for impersonating Hank Henshaw (correct name, yes?)? Because I can't really remember an instance that any of the agents protested to being led by an alien from Mars into action. Now, we have President Marsdin, who (OK, I agree) took the seat of the President by deceit as John did his position, and like John, used that seat of power to promote good deeds. But, unlike John, DEO agent's wants to lock her up? It's an obvious illogical over-look in the scenario, because we did not see in previous seasons agents protesting against a Martian leading them. Also, another obvious mistake is for the "Man in the Iron Mask" to lead a pep-rally against alien immigrants. Why do people don't think that he might be an alien himself? Unless, he takes off the mask and proves that he's human, I don't see why people in that room would be so quick to lean towards his side (I mean, he's not really wrong, Kryptonians, Daxamites, White Martians and God knowns what else throughout the seasons of this show have attacked National City, and not everything is sunshine and rainbows as Kara portrays it to be). P.S. Did Mellissa, Katie and Andrea received instructions from the director to run so awkwardly on purpose? Because all of them looked like retarded hens trying to fly and/or like crapped their pants.

I'm just waiting till Kara fights her Russian (sorry, Kasnian) doppelgänger.

Well, the season is over, and, well... I've got to say that, in my opinion, this was probably the weakest season since S1. After they decided to kill off/not show many main characters and introduce new ones in to the fold, they kinda for the majority of the season lost me. I found the story-line (did this season had a story-line, apart from packages for needy lying on the road and the Mrs. Woodoo Priest Creating her Zombie Pals for Company?) to be unengaging (most of the times I was looking anywhere, but the screen). And the actors, well, from those that I did like in this series, they showed so little of them (Allicia, Victor, hell, even Charlie) that I even began to think whether they are there at all. I did not particularly like the form of the season, that each character (either alone or in pairs) get their own episode and only in the beginning and towards the end do they get back together. Most of the new characters were simply uninteresting. And, if somebody would ask me what happened in this season, I would honestly be stumped. Well, yeah, they were grieving and "hunting" down the one's responsible for Maddisson's death, and then grieving for Nick's death, and then being stuck in a tornado, which threw them in opposite directions, but that's just a couple of episode from the whole season. I just don't know, I found it hard to watch. And that "noire-esque" style of filming colours did not help one bit. I mean, I get why this choice was made, but I simply did not like it.
-
Eh, they could introduce God in to the mix for all I care, but the essence of it will be - I just know that somehow along the way they will find a way to butcher the storyline as usual.

Harun-El separated Kara when she was using it. Short explanation. I guess, we will get Power Girl (without big boobs) in S5?

No Rest for the Wicked: Compare & Contrast Lucifer & Other Shows
Rushmoras replied to MostlyC's topic in Lucifer [V]
Lucifer was just a knock-off of Castle, which was a knock-off of Moonlighting (Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepard one, not Alex O'Longhuine one), and I'm pretty sure that Moonlighting was a knock-off of something else. -
Wow, almost thirty minutes in. It's so bad that it's good. Evil emo Henry, if you are going to kill Regina, go and kill her, don't do puppy dog eyes on her, or if you only wanted some pep talk, go find a shrink. The hope speeches are even cheezier than Supergirl's speeches. And that's saying something. How does Rumpels death destroy WHooks curse? I thought Mother Dreadlocks put it on him. Snow and David. Oh, yeah, we will just pop in to other worlds to warn them. Is now as easy as going to a Starbucks!

S05.E06: What, Will, I, Have, Left
Rushmoras replied to ElectricBoogaloo's topic in The Originals [V]
Well, they are monsters more or less. The series does not try to state otherwise ;)
