  1. There were too many little things that they threw into this story to make the premise plausible and this is one of them. Do you think if he would have any gun shot residue on him? Did you think McCoy is becoming a little too much of a hard ass here? He didn't even bother to mention anything about the circumstances about the shooting of the corrections officer (CO). From the video, (or what they showed from it), it was definitely not Murder 2, but that's what McCoy wanted. When he was the ADA, he took those things into consideration. He is starting to remind me of DA Arthur Branch (Fred Dalton), he was a hard ass from the beginning. Just out of curiosity, why did Price call the widow of the CO to testify at the trial? She couldn't have had any relevant testimony that was related to the shooting. The only thing she could have done was give a Victim's family Impact statement after the trial.
  2. Shaw is suppose to be a good cop. I thought it was almost a character assassination on Shaw making him look like a sloppy, careless, uncaring cop on the way he investigated that case, Booker told him, he had lit one up, why didn't he test him for drugs. Shaw didn't even bother to look for the shooter that Booker could identify
  3. I guess they couldn't get Hampton Inn as a product placement, maybe the promo fee was astronomical. Motel 8 is a national chain Isn't? If it is then, she can sue the national chain for a ton a money, right? I thought they had Noah acting like a 5 year old which made it creepy, because I thought they were going to have his half brother, sexually harassing him like another kid did in a previous stupid episode where Noah was deciding if he was straight, bi, or gay.
  4. I thought this was sort of a "deja vu" set up on a terrible premise. Why is this police brutality charge (for throwing the walkie talkie at him) even considered in this trial, it's so ludicrous. The "deja vu" part as I call it, reminds me of when Cassidy goes nuts on the stand (from Chasing Demons) is even more absurd. Muncy has had to have been undercover a lot with that gang task force, so she should know how to keep a cool head, but she conveniently loses it here. Just another well timed character assassination to push this weak premise thru.
  5. Why is Noah still acting like a 5 year old? I am surprised Benson didn't call the parents first, talk to them, and then go over to the parent's home and talk to them before the boys could meet each other
  6. Well, what we all have been waiting for with Carisi and Rollins, they are finally getting HITCHED. The only thing that is so outrageous with it, is that Rollins is wearing white. So far through the 1st half of the it's mostly about Benson and Noah and a little incident occurs when Benson and Noah take a road trip. That incident could lead to a multi-million dollar lawsuit for Benson.
  7. There was a mention of a confession by the suspect, but I want to see the video in the interrogation room to see how much of that confession was coerced. or are they just hyping this up too much. When he has a gun and takes a hostage, I don't care how innocent he is now, people shouldn't have any sympathy for him. He just committed kidnapping and he deserves whatever sentence for kidnapping.
  8. For what it's worth, a supposed blockbuster article about Hargitay and Meloni probably shacking up, but doesn't go anywhere. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/law-order-stars-mariska-hargitay-103216710.html
  9. Can I get one snarky question in? Just want to know who's story will take up most of the episode's time. Carisi and Rollins or Noah's Christmas wish?
  10. I think Rollins had redshirted 2 years then used her other 4 years as a student athlete to finish her forensic psychology grad degree by transferring to the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, Tiffin U., and the Univ of North Dakota. I am sure the writers will fill us in on this insignificant detail that they conveniently left out for later.
  11. I think the producers are trying to get Hargitay nominated for another Emmy. The "Taken From the Headlines" plot was definitely from the Deshaun Watson incidents but changed it to a soccer superstar because of the World Cup about to be played. They used this same type of scenario last season. Whereas no one was killed here, there was a popular radio personality who got shot and killed
  12. Didn't the mom use the name "Ada" and say "She was my best friend." That would suggest at least social transition. It was also never clear if the dad had known anything before the murder. I can't remember everything clearly, but didn't the parent just try to keep it in the family? Mom seem to be supportive enough of her daughter/son, but she didn't go announcing it all over the neighborhood like most woke groups expect and then complain about them if they don't. Dad wasn't too happy about it, but he at least didn't kick his kid out of the house because of it, like some parents use to do, but not as much anymore.
  13. Since there were a multitude of episodes per season back then, you were lucky to see a specific episode twice in a season, you could only see it between 8pm and 11pm, and you may see it next when it went into syndication 5-10 years later. So by the time you saw an episode with a similar plot, you would be having vague thoughts of Deja Vu.
  14. My complaint about these two (Carisi and Rollins) getting together is that these characters are so superficial and shallow when it comes to their so called moments as a couple. Nothing has really been developed over the last two or three years. Granted isolated incidents have occurred to sort of point things in a certain direction, but we have never really see a continuation of those actions. The only character that has been developed so much, but still has flaws because of unrealistic actions is Benson herself. All the writers over the last few years have concentrated so much on evolving Benson, the other characters are so vague and under developed, and it surprised us again with another unrealistic action. Where Rollins gets to be a lecturer of forensic psychology.
  15. Stupid question, then a agreeing opinion. If Rollins leaves the force, will she be able to collect cop's pension and a teaching position salary? So if they do breakup, she'll at least have 2 sources of income for taking care of the kids. I also didn't see any "romantic chemistry between the two, even when they (outside of Benson'office) had that ultimate argument when Rollins felt overwhelmed and helpless. It was suppose to be that big moment where they open up to each other, but I never got that vibe.
  16. That struck me funny also. Has Fordam's enrollment gone down significantly that they need some kind of plug from SVU? I would have thought she would be offered a job at Hudson and have to go around the country making speeches at other Universities. Do you think Carisi maybe watching the kids sometime while she is out and about with her "Honrary Forensic Psychology Degree?
  17. I can't remember when or if the Dad said that? I do remember the detectives standing over the body with the blanket covering most of the things up
  18. Did Aiden go to a neighborhood bar where he lived to see that guy? Was it the same bar that Fin said was in a neighborhood that was mean, racist and phobic? If so, why would Aiden go there? He is probably more than likely to be recognized and probably get beat up.
  19. I can understand that. Law & Order have used biological women actresses as trans characters on some of their episodes.
  20. I think that would have been better than listen to Benson put on her finest performance of being condescending and hypocritical to McDaniels. Benson lecturing McDaniels on tampering with a crime scene. She reminds him that is a felony. I guess Benson needs to be reminded that a couple of episodes before, she helped cover up a murder committed by a little girl, isn't that a felony. I believe this has become a bad habit for Benson, because she did it before, back in the episode, "Vanities bonfire" (It was just on a few days ago). Totally agree, that there should have been an all out police presence for this kind of situation. This would have been a great time to have Chief McGrath going Nutso, yelling at Benson, and claiming this a PR nightmare.
  21. Well we just found out where they made a recent cut in the budget, in The Casting Department.
  22. I think it represented the absurdity of all the ripping off of all these small retail drug stores with no repercussions for the criminals because of the "No Cash Bail" along with the indiscriminate vicious acts of violence by the so-called mentally ill.
  23. There should be some reprimands handed out for that, except for Benson. She will be presented with a "Medal of Valor". They just recently had a situation like this on a episode of L&O OC, where the guy wearing the wire got killed. Is that considered to tacky or can we expect another incident like this on the Mothership in a few weeks?
  24. We had an actual pro se trial just recently going on here in the USA, where the defendant ran down and killed 8 people known as the Dancing Grannies in Wisconsin during a Christmas parade. I don't know if Law & Order took some ideas from this trial, but it sure had it's outrageous moments.
  25. Do you think that Hargitay thinks so much of herself as a rape victim advocate, that this episode might scare off super rich athletes who think they are entitled to "Use, Abuse, and Throw Away" women at their whim?
