  1. I agree also about the ranking too high of Muncy. In fact, I am starting to believe this is a conspiracy to try and pump up the popularity of Muncy as a character. I think Buzz Feed is doing a favor for Wolf Entertainment or for SVU in particular. Do you think this list should not be about ranking them as individuals, but it should be a list of pairs of detectives?
  2. Something from Buzz Feed, which I am thinking was not too well thought out. They are trying to rank the detectives from the "Law & Order" Universe. Some are stars from their own specific Law & Order series, while others are just part-time regulars. So it will be totally subjective. https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/ranked-every-law-order-detective-214603713.html?a20_comeback_from_auth=1
  3. Those actors would kill for being on a show for so long, but you are looking at it from hind sight. What we have definitely heard over the years is how stingy Wolf Productions was and is, so I am more likely to be Giddish and her agent than what's put out by SVU reps
  4. From a few of the articles that popped out, she just wanted the normal pay raise associated with the number of years the actor has put in. The reason why Hargitay may have clout is because of her position, coming in and under budget, but also because of her charity for victims, that draws a lot of free publicity for the show. It's too bad they always have to think cheap, before they think quality.
  5. I think some fans have noticed the cheapness of the show and the ratings have gone down a little. That will get the Network's attention and I going to assume Benson is getting tired of the drag also.
  6. I would generally agree with that, but the episodes have consistently taken complete nose dives when it comes to quality.
  7. I am willing to bet that SVU is cancelled after this season and they are going to give Hargitay an Emmy as a going away present instead of for quality of work
  8. Thank you for bring that up and reminding me, because I thought she never trusted Duerte and she was doing that to test him to see if he was in league with Papa.
  9. Those characters are so memorable!
  10. I don't really know who is to blame for this. Are the writers using this method, where they dumb down other characters or make them look apathetic to make another a certain captain of SVU Manhattan look really smart or compassionate respectively? Or are the writers ordered by Executive Producers to use this method every week?
  11. Good point, but I still say it would be hard to check for DNA when those under garments have been outside getting rained and snowed upon for many years. Since most weren't reported, would it then be a "He Said, She said" sort of thing and the only thing going for the victims would be the Maestro's testimony and his recordings with Papa to support the evidence? If something happens to the Maestro, like things have been happening to others, would that hurt all their cases? I think the Maestro may have an accident next week.
  12. She gave another one of her speeches to that kid who tried to kill her, so I thinking Haritay is hoping she gets another Emmy Award for that, even though she got many lesser awards. Got to give you credit for Manheim, she is talented in both drama and comedy. Loved her on an episode of "Two and a Half Men". It wouldn't surprise me if she came up with that scream herself, I just wonder if was suggested to the director or if she forced the director to use it.
  13. I am not a lawyer, but I have over 40 years of experience watching Perry Mason, but doesn't that disclaimer at the beginning cover that?
  14. Looks like a very good premise for tonight episode, where the BX9 gang threaten rape of possible new gang members relatives. I still don't know how Benson is allowed to work this case since she is a victim of the case she is working on. I also can't get it out of my head that Duerte maybe the real brains behind BX9 and the other guy is a figure head. Can a tree full of panties (or possible victims of rape) actually hold DNA evidence, even if it's been in the open air for at least a year? With the rain and snow, I find it very unlikely, but there might be few that still contain evidence. It's funny how they close (what is it) 100 rapes in two days, so much for proper story telling and how they get a witness in the last 10 minutes to testify against Papa with rock solid evidence. Well it has been a better episode than some in the first half of the season
  15. I would give the better acting to many of the guest stars, both notable ones and actors from other L & O shows and their episodes. The first time I notice the deterioration in writing or loading 3 episode premises into one episode was when a Catholic church was involved with city gov't officials and a prostitution ring. I wish I could remember a lot of the episode titles that you all do. IMO, the prestige, reputation, or fame of the show may not go down as one of the longest lasting TV dramas, but as one that chose to put quantity above quality. Most fans will see the quality literally shrink before their eyes
  16. I'll go a step farther. I wonder if the SVU finally finds it's end, because doesn't NBC contract end with Wolf after this season? There is no story of renewal or cancellation. I think we will see a lot more of Benson all the way to the end of the season.
  17. I guess what I am trying to determine is who will tell Benson to "take a flying leap", when she tries to give them an order when they know she has no authority to do so?
  18. I still can't understand why the writers can't show some urgency on the part of the NYPD when it comes to one of their own being attacked. Velasco and Muncy are in the office in the morning talking in whispers about Benson's attack, when I thought they would be hitting all the hospitals looking for gun shot wounds on a kid the night before. I thought McGrath would take this personally and raise Holy Hell, when one of his Captains gets attack. You'd also think that this would get some major TV coverage, but I guess they are making NYPD, especially in the Bronx SVU look totally incompetent just so Benson can look good.Tacky very Tacky. Wow the DAs of the Bronx put her on the case because of the new rape, but when they go to the hospital to get the DNA from the rapist, the specialist (a real class act) running test says he can't because of the bureaucracy. Why the hell didn't they call the DAs and tell them to have a pleasant conversation with this specialist. It's becoming too much Benson again, she is getting personally involved in her own case, a major violation of protocol.
  19. Who out ranks who Dixon or Benson. If Dixon does and she shows up in a few more of the SVU episodes, will she let Benson off easy for some of her obvious examples of disregarding protocol?
  20. I want to apologize to you and any other person I may have disparage by my comment concerning color blind people. Nor did I mean to belittle any one in the law enforcement profession by imply they can't do their job because of color blindness.
  21. E! finally promoting Dixon appearance on SVU and we might see more of Dixon in the future https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/law-order-camryn-manheim-teases-170000043.html
  22. If it was a "Victoria's Secret lingerie-looking gown", I believe I would have watched it even if it was a pay-per-view.
  23. All that extra time was prioritized for Benson and Noah's personal moments. That wedding dress did seemed very very conservative for this show. I wonder why it wasn't more progressive. Do you think it was suppose to be old-fashion because Carisi's Mom was suppose to be there, but they decided to cut out the mother-in-law part?
