  1. It looks good on you, Truely! I agree Gothish, kids can make those ugly prints kinda cute. Adults? Nah.
  2. As a Loggins & Messina fan, your observation makes me sad. Full Sail is one of my favorite CD's. Dillweed got a lot uglier after he revealed his fuck-uppedness.
  3. I have never looked at Craigslist for houses. The only thing I've looked at is garage sales. So no bites yet? Is it a bad time to sell in LV, or did they price them too high?
  4. Janelle wasn't even raised polygamist, as other posters have said. That makes it even weirder, that she settled for 1/4 of a man. Sharing food is indeed tamer, by far. I think Christine might enjoy the fact that Janelle is much heavier than she is. Gotta stay more attractive to get Kootie's attention!
  5. Meri loves to play the victim card. I remember when she told Robyn, "don't call me a victim." Then, of course, she whines, blubbers, and generally complains about everyone ignoring her or being mean in some way. "I'm always guarded, with ALL of you," she says to Christine. Jeez Louise, she must be exhausting to be around.
  6. Right there with you. I'll have gluten-free pretzels and cheap red wine (in a bottle, though, not a box.) Seriously, I'd love to see that scenario. Sandy, are you with us? I think you expressed a similar hope?
  7. LOL! I love that. Goosily, what an apt description! I'll give Jin kudos for at least not showing us a picture of shitty diapers.
  8. Sorry to say, Mariah is the homeliest. Dead ringer for Aunt ? Meri's sister. Audge is pretty in comparison. "These are my people." Sounds like something someone too big for their britches would say. Odd pigeon-toed stance. Yep, try on a stereotype till something sticks. Where are their brooms?
  9. They're trying to relate to those of us that do (or did) juggle 40+ hour workweeks, take care of one or more kids, and have nobody to help out. Mr. Xword and I worked different full-time shifts for many years, and it was a rarity when we had a day off together. A day off together on a Saturday or Sunday, when our daughter wasn't in school, was even harder to come by. Dear Mr. and Mrs. Babe: I'd say you have it pretty easy. Don't pretend you're using a washboard at the nearest river to wash clothes.
  10. Love your hashtags, Sandy! You too Celia. Was it Sandy that suggested a while back, to have a snarky get-together at Meri's B & B, while wearing LLN? I still love that idea. I wonder if Meri's numerous siblings would agree that Meri's always been attention-starved? I'd bet yes. Unrelated thought: one of Meri's sisters is a heavier Mariah. Heredity is fascinating.
  11. In context, what does she mean by "overbearing?" I don't get putting that word with lethargy. Lookie lookie everyone! I thank my sister wife for her efforts by trashing what she made for me, because it's too good to resist. Huh? Doesn't your awesome family share everything? Surprised she calls her sycophantic followers "clients." How many Strive subscribers can she have, with these kinds of posts?
  12. Who is Stewie Griffin? Dillweed looks demented in that bizarre picture. Is he some kind of masochist? Jilly, get the whips and chains out.
  13. How very profound of you, Meri. It fits! You don't apologize for squat. Wonderful.
  14. I never heard of the boys having to take their pants down, at my school. What a deterrent, if true, or even the rumor of such! No girls were swatted at my school, as far as I know. I tended to be a goody two-shoes (for the most part!) so I don't remember hearing what happened to the naughty girls. I may have detected the beginnings of a smile on Sam during the video above. It does seem like poor Izzy is resented by his dumbass parents.
  15. Gwen and Truely are favorites of mine. Their snarkiness is appealing. Nice pic.
  16. Ah yes. Reliving the "catfish situation" (how many times did Meri say that on the show? Anyone?) is so terrific. Get over that shit, and get over yourself, Meri. Gawd. It's a wonder ANYONE still wants to dill with you, in any way.
  17. Are the Y names extra-special in fundie-land? They do seem to be in the polygamist Brown family of Sister Wives. Jordyn is the one I'm hoping to break free of the upbringing she's been cursed with. I remember the video of her birthday, shrinking away from her MOTY. I also hope Anna's kids have at least one that will get to live the life she/he wants. How hard it must be to break away from all that. Damn. I wanted to be married more than anything when I was 18, and so we did! I absolutely did not want a baby right away. Mr. Xword and I had our only child after we had been married over 10 years. How sad to think being married to them means having a baby ASAP after saying "I do." And then, a baby every year or so afterward, no matter what the financial/marital situation turns out to be.
  18. Wow. When I was in junior high school (it was the 60's) I remember the boys that misbehaved getting sent to the principal's office for a swat from a paddle. What a warped gift to give your offspring, to use on the grandkids! I can't even imagine doing that. Bizarre and just wrong.
  19. Damn, it's not even winter yet (does that area of Texas even HAVE real winters) and still with the hats. ??? She's a cutie, but why does she never have an uncovered head? Even indoors? Do today's babies have to wear head coverings at all times?
  20. If true (and I could believe it) how sad for those little boys. I wonder what Grandma Cathy thinks about the Pearl methods. She's a wack-job IMO, so maybe she's OK with it. How are Izzy and Sam supposed to aspire to Pistol Pete and college, with Jill's home-foolery? SMH
  21. I had a thing for that grumpy little guy! Winston Churchill or not, Henry is a cutie. I wonder whether Ben and Jessa are using the forbidden birth control? Like I suspected JinJer were, early on. If so, good for them. Boob can piss up a rope if he thinks he has total control over his kids' fertility. If he tried telling me to hurry up and reproduce, I'd tell him just that. I realize his brainwashed kids wouldn't dream of it. Too bad.
  22. No doubt she'll find a way to install one at her Flag house, once they buy homes there. They are renting there now, until the LV houses sell, or? What Meri wants, she finds a way to get. Or so it seems.
  23. @Zahdii, great post! My dad had to wear knickers to school, a la the Walton's John-Boy. He used to tell me that "times were tough," and I believe it. I agree that Jill is already planning her golden years, via her kids. With what? 13 of them thus far, odds are someone is bound to marry into Fundie Royalty, and willing to take the poor grifting parents in, out of the guilt trip that this couple lays on their kids each and every day of their lives, from birth. God help those that get a whiff of living one's own life, and escaping their clutches.
  24. Thank you. I agree, ew. Sandy, either TLC pays much more than we realize? or the Browns are running up credit card debt up to their eyeballs! (see what I did there? Seemed apropos, with the lovely and no doubt pricey Halloween treats.)
  25. Yes, I agree that tee is a LuLaNo, for the fit. Now, to say something nice, which I hardly ever do on this thread: Kody and Meri both look like they're at a healthy weight. Snark alert: both of their hair needs less bleaching and a ton more conditioning.
