I'm with you...I've paid through the nose for cable + internet + landline phone for years. Hey, I'm old and set in my ways. My Amazon fire stick for Prime quit working, and I haven't put the new one on yet. But I can watch those on my laptop. ETA: I have an Apple 5 phone, which I'll use until it quits working. I hardly text, because I have man hands and the keyboard is too damn small.

I haven't seen her before, but she could definitely get someone better looking. His brothers all look better than he does.

I'm in a similar situation. I too am thankful that I have what I have. It's a huge plus to be retired. I worry pretty much all the time, about a lot of things (who doesn't?) It makes me angry/sad that there have been so many people going on as if nothing is different. There will more than likely be spreader events galore tonight, just like there were over the earlier holidays. It's wonderful to have a safe place to talk here on the forum, and I'm grateful that everyone here is so kind and understanding. I used to like grocery shopping, but I haven't done it in person since early March. Thank heavens there's grocery pickup at a favorite store here, and Instacart is available, too. I'll be watching Twilight Zone off and on today, and I got a bottle of pink champagne for Mr. X and me tonight. We usually don't stay up until midnight since we retired from our swing shift jobs over ten years ago. Virtual hugs to all of you!

I worked with one years ago. She wasn't at my place of employment very long, but she was a nice person and did her share of the grunt work that most of us did (there were slackers; aren't there at many jobs?) Not that Mr. R is a pastor, but wouldn't it be hell on earth to work alongside JillR? Shudders just thinking about it!

Amazon also has the gift-wrapping option with those nice reusable bags. My daughter sends gifts for us that way, and this year, I reciprocated and did the same for what I sent to her & her husband. Mr. Xword and I don't exchange with one another. We'll buy a goodie or two for ourselves, and call it done. He would probably do what your husband does.

Like I said, it's probably just me! I buy the white gift boxes (but then again, I don't have an army to give presents to.)
