I didn't know that Mary and Tanner were even together prior to that announcement. Congrats to them.

I'm thinking about taking that flashback scene at the beginning and somehow editing it to put the correct date of Laura's death on her tombstone (I think one of the fan pages said it was January 31, 2002 which lines up with Johnny's conversation with Miguel in 2x03). That really bothered me more than it should, to be honest. Daniel and Johnny have officially come full circle with the "You're alright, Lawrence." Their alliance while still being separate dojos works out best for both of them, since they have so many disagreements when they try to teach in one dojo together. I was glad to see things work out for Tory and Robby as well, getting that HUGE opportunity to showcase their skills to the world and get paid awesome money to do so.

I was proud of Axel for standing up against Sensei Wolf the way he did. The only thing missing was him taking off his karate belt and slamming it on the ground in front of Wolf (like Bobby did in front of Kreese in a deleted scene in KK1 that takes place right after he injured Daniel). So it was basically confirmed that Dennis was the one that burned Mike Barnes' store. When we need Kreese to do what he's good at the most, he shows up. Too bad Johnny will likely never know what Kreese did for him. I just don't think Kreese or Silver escaped that explosion. Even if they both managed to get off the boat, they still would have been in the vicinity of the explosion.

It's all a spectator sport for people like Terry Silver. He wants to win, and he wants as many people as possible to witness it. Johnny and Kreese's conversation was long overdue. Good to see Kreese acknowledge that Johnny was doing great with Cobra Kai until he got in the way of it. That was a sore point with me ever since Season 2 ended. I cheered the biggest I ever have at anything in this show when Johnny came out with Miguel and Tory, revealing that HIS Cobra Kai was back!

I wonder how Sid being okay with giving that ring to Johnny came to be. Johnny did say, "he's still an asshole" so I'm guessing that Sid still ripped him for his failures while he was there. Maybe since Johnny hasn't gotten arrested for about a year and a half (in the show's timeline), Sid sees that as progress. lol I wonder if there's an unwritten code in the Karate Kid universe that you never call the police on someone if they assault you or trespass in your home.

I think the show established ever since Season 2 that Kreese didn't know how to be a good person if he tried. His conversation with Johnny at the shelter in S2, his conversations with the therapist in jail in S5 and his talk with Kim in this episode all indicate that. I think we all knew that Daniel wasn't going to stay out of the karate game for good. Especially when Johnny and his kids wanted him to continue.

Yep! Recent date announcement revealed Part 3 comes on February 13, 2025.

Unfortunately I still have a while to go before seeing every episode of the series, and I want to do so before I watch the movie. I'll be back in perhaps a month or so. :P
-
I could also see members of the community vouching for Johnny in that regard as well. In Season 2, all those parents liked the skills Johnny was teaching the students.

Seeing as Robby knew that Kreese had contacted Tory, and he went to all that effort to get Kenny into Miyagi-Do, it doesn't make sense that he didn't immediately go after Tory when she left. Even less sense that he was so happy to get the Captain's headband. Oh well. On to Part 2, where we will see how Tory's latest move works out for her.
-
I don't get how Barnes wasn't impressed with Devon winning the endurance challenge. She outlasted boys that were twice her size and more muscular. At least he was impressed with Kenny catching the chicken, because that's also hard to do.

Kreese is overshadowing Kim Da-Eun badly this season. He showed up and immediately brought out the best in Kwon. Hopefully in Part 2, they'll give Kim more storylines. Can't wait for Johnny to find out how raising a child in general is, since he missed out on a lot of Robby's younger years.

Tory is too much doom and gloom for my liking. It was her own fault she ended up on probation, but she could still have a better life in the future if she didn't have this "people like me have no chance" mentality. I really liked watching the parts where Johnny and Chozen went looking for a new home for Johnny, as well as the college scenes with Miguel, Hawk, Demetri, Kyler and Brucks. In addition to experiencing what he put kids through in High School, I guess Kyler finally found those fish sticks because he was a lot nicer. :P

Stingray is insane to want Johnny to bring back Cobra Kai, especially since he ended up in the hospital due to Silver, who stole it from Kreese, who stole it from Johnny. Johnny re-opening it would just repeat that same pattern again. Stingray should just join Eagle Fang, but I guess that's not possible now since Johnny merged the dojo into Miyagi-Do. If all else fails, Kreese can have Kim Da-Eun run the dojo since the authorities aren't looking for her, and he can offer advice and help teach from the shadows. It felt like I was watching 4x05 again, with Daniel and Johnny bickering about whose dojo name and methods they should all go with, and a stupid fight to resolve it. Thankfully it got squashed this time, and the stupid fight turned into a great, energetic training spar.

Night Court Media: Feeling MUCH Better Now…
Virtual replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Night Court (2023)
Actors leaving the show has me concerned about it going beyond Season 3. -
I just discovered this show last year while flipping through TV channels, and I was immediately hooked on it. Even better is that Monk is now on Netflix so I don't have to wait for the episodes to rerun on TV to finish the show!

Since some people above mentioned DJ, I agree that he should be on the show more and if it were up to me, he would be. It seems he got banished for being too successful. :P xD I hope Mark can succeed one day and not have to go through the poverty that his elders have, but he needs a better mindset to be able to recognize scams when they come his way. He needs time out in the world, and possibly a mentor.

While I am a bit bummed that all the episodes won't be releasing at once (I made it a tradition since Season 2 to binge them all when they released and Season 6 will end that era), I do like that the fan base could last longer at its peak with the episodes releasing this way.

This show has been a great ride over the past 6 and a half years. Too bad Freddie Highmore doesn't have another role (as far as I know) to jump into right away, as he did with this show when Bates Motel ended. I just enjoy watching him in anything he's in. Glad that Shaun made Chief of Surgery, and that Claire ended up happy with Jared (still hated that she lost an arm). Even so, he could always climb up to TED talks. :P

I hope that Glassman being mad at Shaun won’t end up being part of the season cliffhanger, but I suspect that it will. I understand his reaction to possibly having his job stripped away, but Shaun did the right thing telling Lim. I thought the Morgan scenes with Eden were meant to show the realities of raising a baby.

That is one thing that’s honestly bothered me. I guess you should never underestimate the effect of what a parent who shows favoritism to your brother can really do. But Robert is tall, muscular, handsome and a police lieutenant. And he’s charming when Ray doesn’t influence his behavior. You’d think he’d have all the confidence in the world with women. I enjoyed the Italy episodes. Frank and Marie were enjoying the moment and appreciating the experience, and so were the rest of the family minus Ray who was negative about it until he had that pizza, then decides to enjoy himself too. That was a bit of a ridiculous reason, but my very favorite part of the episode was a lesson that everyone should use for their life, at the end when Colletta told Ray to live his life because her late husband had a similar outlook on life to Ray. Robert’s being hung-up on Debra is cringy, especially after he’s married to Amy. I also don’t like how Robert flip-flops his opinion because of what Debra thinks. He did it in the Frank stole the football episode, and the episode where Pat had to kill the bird. One episode I’ve never liked is The Janitor. Ray made a harmless comment about the janitor being paid to pick stuff up, BEFORE he found out that the kid’s father was a janitor. But the family (mainly Debra and Marie) pile on to him and acts like they would have handled it so much better. The rest of the episode proved they were even more “insensitive” than Ray.

I do think Jared is trying too hard to get the doctors that he just met to like him. He needs to just be himself instead of spending money on parties to try to impress them. I’m glad Glassman agreed to the scan after Shaun stopped pushing and just said why he wanted him to do it.
-
I was wondering what would happen if Andrews did that, too. It worked for Johnny when he taped back together his stepfather’s check that he’d earlier ripped, on Cobra Kai (which got mentioned in this episode by Daniel, which was also the name of Johnny’s rival in that show; I’m sure it was completely coincidental. Lol). But I knew he probably wouldn’t be happy about Jared deciding to leave his employment. About the new car, my only question was whether or not Lea kept her original. Nice to see Jared back, and if he’s going to return, Shaun is no longer the only resident left from the pilot. Seeing the preview for the backdoor Good Lawyer pilot makes me realize it’s been longer than it feels since The Good Doctor premiered.

That sucks, especially since we already had to wait two weeks for this episode. You’d think they could air it during the later night hours so it wouldn’t bump TV show episodes.

I kinda wanted to see this show continue but I think it’s for the best that it did cancel. At most, I think it would have only had one more good season of the potential that it did have.
