  1. I thought they were aware, and therefore have been publicly boycotting Target (despite previously having wedding registries and setting pregnancy announcement photoshoots there...)
  2. I wonder if it was for career advancement purposes...
  3. Wow, this is like the definition of a Sad Beige birthday party: brown outfits; brown balloons; brown cake, cookies, and snacks. It looks like they even used a filter on the photos that makes the few pops of blue look more gray.
  4. I didn't at first either, until I heard the name spoken out loud in a video. I wonder with this, and also baby Madyson, if it was almost meant as a reminder or way to rub salt into the wound every time FF refers to this person, rather than a way to glorify or commemorate his actions..
  5. But he wore his wedding boots, therefore making the whole outfit wedding appropriate ....??
  6. I wasn't going to go, but it has been a while since I've had Little Caesars...
  7. I'm really surprised they haven't changed the video thumbnail yet...
  8. That was Kristina and Josh, and you can follow her Facebook page here - she's since cut her hair, gone through a long journey with mental health (she also started a blog and/or podcast about mental health x religion), and seems to have paused the baby train after 5 kids (two are twins).
  9. Yes, it was this girl Kristina (whose blog hasn't been updated for a few years, but still seems to be active on her Facebook page). Looks like she and her husband just celebrated their 10th anniversary, but I believe they came to our attention because of their use of a "courting ruler" to make sure they were always a safe distance apart. (This was also the couple who got engaged at Arby's.) ETA: Looks like she's started a new blog "working to 'Break the Stigma' of being a born again Christian with severe anxiety, and panic attacks," which is actually pretty cool of her.
  10. That was the first thing I noticed... Don't they mean Yellow Pocket Angel Den?
  11. The last couple pictures of Jill posing with her daughters reminds me of the Kardashian parodies SNL was doing... "Four sisters!"
  12. "hardtack and oversalted gruel" got me 😂
  13. I was wondering if she had been asked to enunciate a little more during her voice overs, even though I haven't noticed her having as bad mush-mouth as some of her siblings...
  14. I'm not a contact paper expert, but I couldn't figure out a) why they were painting it instead of just starting with a colored paper, and b) why they made a square template and cut out individual squares, instead of just drawing a grid and slicing it in straight lines. The latter would have wasted a lot less time and materials...
  15. I volunteer with a student entrepreneurship program, and the students in this year's company used Instagram stories as part of their marketing plan because 1) your followers get alerts when you post a story or go live, and 2) I think stories are just how kids communicate more than posts, which they carefully curate and delete if they don't meet certain standards. We've basically had to beg them to make actual posts 😂 And, like @Ohiopirate02 said, it gives them some deniability if there are any issues, because the story goes away (though screenshots last forever...)
  16. I was going to ding Jill for using the plural "curriculums" instead of "curricula," but according to the Chicago Manual of Style, "curriculums" is correct in American English 🤨 (However, my browser is still underlining it as a typo as I'm writing this...)
  17. This was my first thought as well - saying they were pregnant but had a miscarriage buys them some time. It does seem like they went to an awful lot of effort to fake it though, with the family announcement via t-shirt, and all the publicity now over the miscarriage. Of course, they may have thought it would be more low-key, but got swept up in the need to publicly announce... sort of like a couple getting caught up in planning a wedding and going through with the marriage, even though they would have rather called it off... 🤔
  18. I have worked for many years with international colleagues, including those based in Japan, and it seems like despite having good English comprehension, my Japanese coworkers are much more comfortable when they are able to translate to their native language. One of them recently asked for something in advance so they would have time to translate it, because, "a Japanese person reading English is like riding a bicycle on the highway." I know that despite learning English in school, many Japanese are not confident in their English speaking skills, which is why there are so many opportunities for foreigners to work in Japan as an English teacher. So I was not surprised to see that she used an interpreter just to make sure she was understanding her clients correctly, and that her thoughts were clear to them. I hadn't realized she had lived here since 2016, but it could have been late 2016 and the show could have filmed in early 2018, so potentially she might have only been in the US for about a year. I'm sure her English skills will improve and probably already have, but it's kind of also part of her charm and mystique that she is speaking a different language, etc.
  19. I think this is related to the belief they have stated several times that men are more visually aroused, while women are more emotional... ETA: See also: "Nike"
